Blue Heron Cottage, Dock, Beach, Peaceful Cove, SUPs, Canoe, Kayaks, Ping Pong

Our family has been exploring lakes throughout the eastern US for the past 15+ years. We vacationed every year with a group of large extended family and friends. We’ve experienced a variety of vacation rental properties, their amenities, host practices, locations, attractions, etc. We've made it our mission to deliver the best experience we can imagine and forever strive to further improve.

Over the years, we kept gravitating back to Smith Mountain Lake. The water is super clean, clear and the temperature always seems perfectly refreshing, cool but not cold. The lake is very large with tons to explore but also safe and easy to navigate without the challenges of other lakes. Our stays have been filled with daily adventures including taking the boat to find secluded beaches for picnics, hidden trails to hike, new fishing and swimming spots and a ton of unique restaurants. There's just so much to explore on Smith Mountain Lake.

The home is in a secluded, natural lake environment yet close to attractions and necessities. The water quality in this part of the lake is especially good. It's easy to enter the shallow water by the shoreline beach area or using the dock steps. It's plenty deep at the dock slips for any boat or PWC. Swimming, kayaking, etc. is great in our cove since there is minimal boat traffic and fewer nearby homes. Fish are regularly caught from our dock and along the wraparound shoreline and it's a very short boat ride to the deepest, broadest part of the lake.

Upon arrival, you'll drive down a quarter mile of private wooded path to reach the home and waterfront. This property has a beautiful and extensive wooded shoreline with water on 3 sides. There is plenty of area to swim and explore well away from boat traffic, etc. The dock is large and well equipped and is in great condition with plenty of room for boats and watercraft of most any type. The property is located in a quiet, undeveloped cove great for fishing, swimming, etc. There is a boathouse full of water toys, refrigerator and bar with barstools.

The house has multiple areas to spend time together with two living areas, recreation room with a ping pong table, eat-in kitchen, dining room with seating for 12, large covered patio with dining for 12+, and large deck. You'll constantly be drawn to the amazing views of the lake.
