All of the previous high ratings were 100% accurate. The home was very clean, well stocked, the kitchen is a chef's dream, there's plenty of room for all, and very quiet surroundings. The reserving, check-in, and check-out process was easy and efficient. The communication with May(owner) was professional and pleasant. I encourage everyone to take pics/vids of the lake, mountains, sunrise/sunsets because words alone won't do them justice...it's flat-out majestic!

PriorTry was clean when we arrived and had been cared for a little more worn than the price would make you expect. Check in and check out was very smooth and no delays. View from the deck was great exterior of property was not clean and we did wash it down so we could enjoy. Sept was very hot and humid but was still beautiful.

Beautiful location on the lake.

A relaxing fun stay with our family. The home is laid out to take advantage of the floor space. Amenities are very nice, pool and lake a short walk.

Very spacious and plenty of room for large groups. The views are gorgeous. Fortunately for our stay, the water levels still allowed us to dock the rental pontoon and jet skis. Loved that they had 2 kayaks and a paddle board that we could also use. There was something for everyone! Having two washers and dryers and two refrigerators was a lifesaver for a large group as well. The kitchen is equipped with ANYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED and then some. As others stated, a few things could use a refresh, and making a little more room in the kitchen for food storage would be helpful but those are not complaints…we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back!

We stayed with my family for our wedding weekend at Bernard’s and I could not have imagined a better location and house!! It was comfortable with beautiful views, plenty of space and a stocked kitchen. May was very nice and flexible when my car died and I had to extend my stay to get it jump started. Overall…perfect in every way!

Amazing family vacation

Peaceful Haven lived up to its name as we had a fabulous stay with two sets of parents and our two daughters. What a special place and experience. The views are truly breathtaking! We are already looking at the calendar for when we can return.

Accommodations were great with some of the best views on the lake. Home was very well equipped with everything you would need for a week’s stay at the lake. Would highly recommend this location to families or a group of ten people. Hoping to possibly stay here again in the future!

We love Peaceful Haven!

This is our third stay at Peaceful Haven and it just gets better every year! The remodeling that has been done is stunning! There is plenty of room for a family to spread out. The lake views are gorgeous, the little beach is so convenient and the kayaks/SUP are great for touring the lake. We have already booked our stay for next year!

A Sweet Stay at Bernard's Landing

Bernard's Landing is one of my family's favorite places to visit. Peaceful Haven is a very lovely home, right on Smith Mountain Lake, that is beautifully appointed and very clean. The beds were super comfortable, too! The owner, May, was quick to respond to all questions, which we appreciated. We didn't use all that was available--bikes, kayaks, a grill, but it was nice to know they were there.

Awesome experience

Perfect for spending time with friends in a comfortable and relaxing setting. It’s a spacious kitchen, dining, living room with plenty of seating. Right on the lake, we ate meals on the deck too. We’d stay there again if in the area.

The property is amazing! It could not be closer to the lake and has a dock available. The location is within easy walking distance of a great restaurant, boat rentals and the community pool. The rooms are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. We look forward to returning for a longer stay!

The best views on the lake

We’ve been coming to Smith Mountain Lake for 34 years. We stayed in many lovely places both homes and condos and this has got to be the best location with the best view. Our hostess May was remarkable responding to any question or request immediately. The house was immaculate, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen well stocked! We will definitely be back!

Fab vacay!

We were fortunate enough to have an early check in….. May, our hostess, should receive an award for her communication skills! The house was beyond, along with the location. It was everything we needed….. As a family, we always do a yearly vacation, this was by far, one of our best!

everything perfect

This unit was amazing and perfect for our 4 couples. The view right on the lake was beautiful, the house was so well stocked with everything you could possibly want or need, everyone in our group commented on how comfortable the beds were. It was just a beautiful, well decorated and furnished town house. We will definitely come back and stay in this exact location/unit!!

We had a great time, and felt the place was very well appointed, and well situated. Everything was clean and updated, and all the appliances worked. The lake and mountain views were very restorative and the little beach close by provided easy access to the lake for my two year old granddaughter. Communication was prompt and accurate. Check-in and check out were seamless. We were a party of nine, (6 adults, 3 children) and felt everyone had the space and bathrooms they needed to feel comfortable. It was an easy walking distance to the clubhouse and restaurant. Excellent location for a week of relaxation and a great introduction to Smith Mountain Lake.
