Sogsbakki ist ein neues modernes 3-Zimmer-Luxus-Villa in Grimsnes, 45 min entfernt. Fahrt von Reykjavik und 30 min. Fahrt zum Geysir, Gullfoss und Thingvellir. Das Anwesen verfügt über ein modernes Design und ist sehr gut in jeder Hinsicht ausgestattet; ihre umgeben von Terrassen, mit Sauna, Jacuzzi im Freien, ein Barbecue im Freien (Gas), Gartenmöbeln und einem Basketballplatz. Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer, ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer für Bereich für 12 Personen, Küche, Bad und Waschraum. In der Umgebung gibt es mehrere Golfplätze, Schwimmbäder, Wanderwege, Angeln Flüsse und andere spannende Dinge. Das nächste Restaurant ist nur 5 min. weggehen. Pls. Beachten Sie, dass der Outdoor-Whirlpool bei schlechtem Wetter nicht verwendet werden kann.

Excellent place to stay and great base to explore from

We had an excellent stay in Iceland. Just around the corner from Selfoss (easy for your grocery shop) and the main attractions from the golden circle are less than an hour’s drive away. The property is very tidy and cosy and Elin is a great host. Definitely a great place to stay

Easy check in. Beautiful place, perfect landing spot for visiting the South and West of Iceland and the golden circle. Elin made everything quite easy from initial questions about booking to answering questions during our stay. The sauna was amazing. The hot tub requires 3 hours to fill and we used only once because we were not comfortable letting in run all day (though we were told that would be ok). We had a wonderful trip.

Beautiful home in great location

We really enjoyed staying at Elin's cozy and modern home. Very welcoming and homey. Sometimes rentals feel like they are just rentals but this house felt like staying in a well cared for home. We had everything we needed, kitchen basics, linens, etc.. Only downside was we wish the Hotpot/Hot tub had been easier to use. We only got to enjoy it once on our 6 night stay but otherwise this place was great. Definitely recommend!

The location of this property is perfect! It’s close to Selfoss, all the main attractions of the Golden Circle as well as off the beaten path sights. It was so nice coming back to this cozy property after a long day of sightseeing to take in the beautiful surroundings and relax in the hot pot & sauna. The property owners go out of their way…literally, to familiarize you with the house and their country. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, well-designed home in an unforgettable location

We stayed 5 nights. Elin went out of her way to meet us, get us familiarized with everything, and providing suggestions for things to do. She was responsive and helpful. It is a stunning, elegant home. We loved the sauna, outdoor shower, and "hot pot." The beds were comfortable. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was gourmet. And water from the tap is better than any bottled water you've ever tasted. We walked on the paths around the home every morning. And major attractions on the Golden Circle are within easy driving distance. We had an amazing time!

Golden Circle Getaway

This house is the perfect place to stay while visiting Iceland. It is away from it all but close to many popular touring sights. It’s a great house to come to after you’ve been out exploring all day. It’s well stocked , beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Elin is the consummate hostess. She greets you on arrival at a designated location and escorts you to the house. We arrived on a morning when the roads were somewhat slippery and we were happy to have her lead the way. To my delight, she greeted us with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate my birthday (which was the reason for our trip). This house is also good for seeing the northern lights. Just walk out the door and there they are (if you’re lucky!). I highly recommend Elin’s house.

Fantastic holiday home

This modern holiday home was the perfect base for our day tours into the wonderful nature of Iceland's southwest. Only 15 minutes north of Selfoss it offered all amenities we could think of. Besides a very appealing arrangement this included a well equipped open plan kitchen in a spacious living room, three bedrooms, lots of stowage space, a sauna, an outdoor hot tub with shower, laundry facilities as well as a Weber grill. Everything worked properly and was super clean. Elin (property owner) was very hospitable and reachable whenever needed. Even better, after our arrival in Iceland we met Elin's son in Reykjavik who guided us to the house where he gave us a comprehensive briefing. What else could we expect? Really nothing to complain about. We can fully recommend this holiday home!

Gemütliches kleines Idyll

Das Ferienhaus ist ideal gelegen, um in verschiedene Richtungen Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Der Wohnraum ist modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Einige Gewürze und Lebensmittel sind bereits vorhanden und können benutzt werden. Es ist jedoch schade, dass der Hot Tub jedesmal drei Stunden braucht um vollzulaufen. Der Kamin war leider nur der Deko.

Super schönes Haus

Das Haus entspricht exakt den Fotos. Alles sehr modern und ansprechend. Sauber. Masterbedroom groß, Betten sehr bequem. Die beiden anderen Schlafzimmer sind sehr klein. Der dazugehörige kl. Kleiderschrank befindet sich im Flur. Küche, Esstisch und Couch bzw. Fernseher alles in einem großenRaum. Komplett ausgestattet, alles erdenkliche Zubehör vorhanden. Findet man so nicht oft. Die Lage war für uns genial. Zum Erkunden von Süd-Island perfekt. Ruhig gelegen, lediglich abends leichte Reifengeräusche von der Straße zu hören. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Hotpot und Sauna sind spitze. Reykjavík 45 Min, Selfoss 10 Min.. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses schöne Haus uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wundervoll!!

Es war wirklich ein toller Aufenthalt! Das Haus war wunderschön und man fühlt sich wie zuhause. Elin hat uns mit ihrem Mann am Weg nach Reykjavik eingesammelt und hat uns zum Haus gebracht. Die Sauna war toll - Whirlpool war leider defekt wegen eingeforener Wasserleitungen. Fazit - es war wirklich alles super, wir werden wieder kommen wenn wir wieder nach Island fliegen ;)

Awesome Stay direct on the Golden Circle

We stayed with 5 people for 5 nights in this wonderful house. The location ist really great and based direct on the Golden Circle. You can explore the complete south of Iceland perfectly. Also the way to Reykjavik is only a 45 minute drive. And it's so amazing to come home every evening to enjoy the sauna and the hot tub - we loved it! The house is fully equipped with everything you need, very clean and you can have every day a charming dinner. Elin and Gisli were really hospitable, friendly and explained everything to us. wonderful christmas vacation in Sogsbakki

The house in Sogsbakki is a very comfortable and cozy start point to all landmarks because of central position in Golden Circle and excellent road network. However, the weather changes all of sudden and should be checked before starting. It is no problem because the wireless internet works in the entire house without difficulty. It is also a perfect place to wacht the aurora because of a minor light pollution. In nearby little town Selfoss could be bought all necessary groceries. The house is a very nice retreat after all interesting trips. We loved the sauna and the cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. The eating out is very expensive and, from our experience, not worthy. My name is Elin, I'm married and have two sons. I grew up in Iceland but have also spent considerble time abroad in relation with my work and studies (Denmark, France, UK and China).We love travelling in Iceland and abroad. We care greatly for our summerhouse and it's the best place we know to enjoy with our family and friends. Absoulutely the best place to relax and get in touch with nature which surrounds the place. We put great trust and faith in those who choose to rent our place and we do our utmost to maker their stay as enjoyable as possible.

This beautiful summerhouse is the perfect place to relax and enjoy being away from your everyday life both summer and winter. It's luxurious and beautifully designed. It's located 30-45 min. drive from many of Iceland's most popular places and surrounded with hiking trails and just few minutes walk from a salmon river.

The beautiful surroundings and the overall design of this place is irrisisteble and makes you feel welcome, relaxed and secure. During the summer you can enjoy the 24 hr light and the during the winter the Northern lights in the complete darkness. After a long day looking at beautiful sights you can relax in the sauna and make a delicious meal in the very spacious and well equipped kitchen.
