We were looking for a place to unwind and rebound from the work week. The quaint lift was perfect for the decompressing we needed!!

The property was every bit as described. It's a nice quiet cabin for a chill weekend. We didn't really explore activities in the area and didn't need to as we planned to spend our weekend together at the cabin. The beds could be a bit more comfortable, but it's well stocked with cooking pots/pans/utensils and otherwise clean and ready to go for your stay. Also, the communication was excellent. Useful and timely and not too much.We had a great time. Recommended if you just want a quiet place in the mountains.

Thanks for staying at Walden Chalet. Glad the cabin matched the listing and provided a quiet, well‑stocked place for your weekend together. Appreciate the note about the beds — we’ll review options to improve comfort. Happy to hear communication was helpful and that the place was clean and ready to go. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!

Adorable mountain getaway

Beautiful Cabin in a quiet secluded area

The trip was perfect, just what we needed - to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city and into the gorgeous country. Tony is a great host! Definitely will rent from him again!

Lovely mountain getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful minimoon at this adorable cabin in the woods. It was a perfect size with a great jacuzzi on the back deck. Groceries, gas, and activities are about 30 minutes away. Host was very communicative and check in/out process was very easy.

The cabin itself was clean and nice, but it was 100 degrees outside on checkin day, that week was to be the hottest week, (in the 100's) when we went into

Postive: Cabin was very clean. Had issue with wifi, but host fixed it quick. Quiet area. Hot tub was clean and easy to use. Bed was comfortable and appreciated that we had access to controling the temperature inside.Negative: Door lock was a bit hard to lock. Neighbor was closer than expected (didnt bother us but pictures didnt show it).

West Virginia

While the cabin was nice, seating and sleeping was rough. Pictures of the cabin are not exactly what is really is. Looks like it is secluded, but in reality, homes within 150 feet. Deck was in poor shape. Upon arrival, pots/pans, glassware all over the counter, not put away. Was looking for a place to relax, renew and refresh, but was not possible. We left on Thursday to go home. Will not use Vrbo again.

The Perfect Reset

This cabin was exactly what we wanted. Wake up with the sunrise over the mountains daily, make a pot of coffee, hear all the birds chirping and waking up with you, light a fire in the wood stove, I mean how can life be better? Reset at night after a hike during the day in the hot tub and enjoy the beautiful night sky or grab a shower and watch a movie on the comfy couch and smart tv. Blue Maple provided such a cozy and thoughtful space. We really enjoyed being there, if only for a couple days. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it is here in the spring/fall. We really wanted to also enjoy a brewery or two and due to the timing and staffing in the area had to drive a bit farther for that. Dirt Farm Brewing and Winery had spectacular views! About an hour away but you worth the drive. Very grateful for this comfortable space and being able to stay here when we needed a quick reset from normal daily life.
