This was our second stay at Whiskey Acres & it was just as great as the first! Andrew & Amanda are amazing hosts & have thot of everything to truly make you feel like you’re at home! Their communication is unmatched they are quick to respond with any questions. Providing all the necessities like all the soaps shampoos towels kitchen essentials & a fully stocked coffee bar is such a plus …less things you need to worry about bringing along. Having activities like axe throwing, corn hole, fire pit & hot tub put Whiskey Acres ahead of the rest. This is our favorite rental by far & is truly a special place!

This place is amazing! It was the perfect spot for my wife and I to relax and unwind with our dog, Ripley. Between the hot tub, fire pit, cornhole, grill, and board games, we had plenty to do, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed in order to cook some nice meals. We appreciated the welcome basket full of delicious treats for us and for Ripley! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the little details of having a towel warmer, robes, and a candle made it extra cozy. We loved how much privacy we had, but we weren’t so far into the woods that we felt unsafe. We would totally stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to our gracious hosts-we needed a getaway like this!!!

We had THE most wonderful trip in nature - soaking in the hot tub, looking at the stars, sleeping soundly, eating well, enjoying the beauty of the surroundings. Very nice place to getaway for a family of four! We loved all the outdoor recreation right on the property and had a blast playing cornhole and sitting by a campfire. It is nice and quiet. This little cabin was the perfect weekend getaway! Somehow we booked the coldest weekend of the year and we weren’t able to explore or use the hot tub, but it was cozy spending time inside by the fire. We stayed here for a beautiful weekend away. The cabin was very clean, stocked, and comfortable. We also brought our corgi who enjoyed all the fresh air and watching all the birds out the big windows. The road is quiet and the cabin is private. I would choose this property again for vacation

The owners are very nice and very easy to communicate with! I didn't have any issues with checking in or checking out. The property is absolutley beautiful and has plenty of fun things to do while you're staying there. I would reccomend this property to anyone else stayimg in this area!

The setting was beautiful—peaceful, private, and surrounded by woods, while still offering all the comforts of home.Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The decor was absolutely delightful, and the framed photos of the original cabin were such a special touch—they added so much charm and character to the space.Our golden retriever had a blast exploring the property, and we loved having her along for the weekend. Finding a getaway that’s both beautiful and genuinely pet-friendly isn’t always easy, so it was especially nice to stay somewhere she was just as welcome as we were.Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars was definitely a highlight of our stay. We also enjoyed an evening around the fire pit, which was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.The host was incredibly responsive and easy to reach throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway with friends or family, and that feels just like home… then I highly recommend staying at Whiskey Acres cabin! Me and my boyfriend wanted a nice, quick weekend trip to ourselves for our third year together (we live an hour away from one another). And this stay was exactly what we were looking for when booking. There was plenty of things to do without having to leave the property. Whether we were outside enjoying the relaxing hot tub, showing our competitive side playing corn hole or axe throwing, or just chilling inside with the comfort of the welcoming details of the interior decor. We had a blast and this was a place that will always hold memories. It’s pet friendly which was so awesome being able to bring the old girl along. Everything was super clean and well thought of. Hosts even put together a cute welcome basket full of snacks for our stay. When I say they thought of everything… it truly shows how much time and effort they put into making their guests stays a memory never to forget. We will definitely be cooking with them again soon!

Andrew and Amanda grew up together in Berkeley County, West Virginia. From riding Bus 195 as children while living just half a mile apart to marrying in 2011, their shared history has laid the foundation for a close-knit and distinctive family. Now parents of four children, they bring the same care, intention, and attention to detail to raising their family as they do to thoughtfully managing their BnB properties. Their guests feel their love and attention to detail.

The level of peace and quiet was ideal for the perfect getaway. After sitting on the old porch for a few hours, a family of deer walked by. I knew this was going on be something special.

It all started in 2020 when Andrew received a phone call from one of his investors saying he had recently purchased a parcel and it had a little cabin on it. The investor asked Andrew to list the property for sale and sent over a few pictures of the land. Instantly, Andrew knew he needed to know more about the cabin in the pictures. One snowy day, Andrew headed out to find the little 324 sq ft cabin. Walking in 2’ deep snow, he found it and instantly fell in love. After a call to the investor, Andrew made an offer and in March of 2021, ownership changed and the project began.

After doing some research, we found that the cabin was built in 1986 by an author. (See the before photos by the coffee bar) Consisting of a couple solar powered lights, kerosene candles, an outhouse, gravity fed water bucket and a wood stove...the definition of “roughing it” was all but occurring. The author would come to this cabin to write his novels and do some one-on-one thinking to put into his books.

Andrew knew the vision he wanted to create and the rest...is history.
