BED BUGS, Broken Doors, Broken Phone

As the saying goes, if I could give it no stars I would. For starters, We had a toilet that wouldn’t flush, water that wouldn’t get hot, they made us wait an hour and a half to go out to eat because they had to have our door lock replaced, we had a bathroom door that wouldn’t shut, a sliding door that wouldn’t slide, a phone that was only for looks... ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS... My sisters pull out bed had BED BUGS — she got ate alive, literally had to go to the doctor and all of us had to burn our luggage and souvenirs (more or less). When she confronted the front desk about it (out of worry for other guest) they more or less said THEY KNEW THERE WAS BED BUGS!!!!!!! The had a plan of action in place for the day we left!!!! This was a huge money cost for us- just to make sure we didn’t bring them back home to our houses and families. Also, they asked me to leave a CASH deposit at check in- even though I had already given a deposit through VRBO, which has yet to be refunded to me. Very disappointed in this place and more or less we all extremely regret this trip

Mala experiencia

Nos dieron una habitación que no fue la que había reservado y nadie me aviso nada, trate de comunicarme para que resolvieran o me dieran una explicación y nadie me respondió. Hasta dos días después que estaba fuera y no tenia teléfono y que si me habían cambiado habitacion porque con la que yo reserve hubo un problema, peor no te preguntan si estas de acuerdo. La que nos dieron era mås pequeña y sin terraza, ademås no tenía cafetera, solo había una taza y eramos 6 personas al igual que los platos, no estaba bien equipada. Nunca llegaron a hacer limpieza, el lugar estå bastante descuidado. Aunque la playa es muy bonita en esa zona, el lugar no es cómodo y cada vez que llegas a dejar toallas o a pedirlas quieren venderte un paquete para visitar lugares. No lo recomiendo para nada.

Bueno!

La estancia fue agradable! PrĂĄcticamente la habitaciĂłn es igual a las fotos, muy cĂłmodo y pequeño, en realidad si planeas estar todo el dĂ­a en la calle o en la playa el lugar es perfecto y no necesitas mas :) Playa bien, alberca bien, en realidad todo bien, antros y sĂșper mercado a 15 - 20 min max de los condos. Suerte!

Para empezar son falsas las fotos que publican, no hay balcón, la decoración es diferente a como la muestra, todo estaba sucio, el que la renta dice que cada tercer día hacen la habitación y se presentaron hasta el quinto día y eso porque le dije que porque no hacían la habitación? porque no había toallas limpias, rollos de papel de baño, y las toallas no eran toallas son solo sabanas cortadas que ni secan, en las camas salían arañas, las cortinas de la ventana con hongos los cuales tengo fotos, así como las del baño con hongos. Las tienditas que tiene estån atendidas por señoritas con malos modos, con el radio a todo volumen, que ni te saludan. En fin no fue regalado lo que pague. Estacionamiento pequeño. Los guardias y el joven de recepción buen trato, La estufa con mal funcionamiento.No lo recomiendo. Al cambiar la temperatura del clima la tele se apagaba.

Perfect!

I enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Cancun Condo Plaza! The loft was very clean and looks exactly like the pictures posted!! The view of the beach was absolutely breathtaking! It is in the perfect location! Very safe area, but did not feel so "touristy" We took the bus to get everywhere, which was cheap and convenient. The beach was beyond perfect, crystal blue waters and white sand. The pool at the condo was really nice as well. We bought and cooked our own food most of the days but the restaurant at the condo was absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend staying here!! I cannot wait to go back!!

AMAZING BEYOND AMAZING!!

We were absolutley thrilled with our stay at the Cancun condo plaza. The pictures were just as the condo was! Everything was beautiful and so clean! We couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Right on the beach and in the midst of fun but far enough from the touristy feel! It was absolutley incredible! The view from the condo is BREATHTAKING! The beds were comfortable and everything was so enjoyable. We took the bus to most places, DEFINITLEY recommend taking the Catamaran to Isles Mujeres, you will get to meet great people, spend the day on the boat and drink and snorkel, a wonderful lunch buffet on the island and hold a shark! --INCREDIBLE experience for only $60 a person, CAN'T BEAT IT (you can find on groupon Cancun for even less). Everything and everyone was so welcoming. We cooked in the condo and that was nice but also enjoyed the restraunt on site! Delcicious!!! with an amazing view right on the beach! We cannot wait to go back! The beach is incredibly gorgeous, crystal clear warm water and the pool is so nice to just relax and float in to switch things up! Sal is a pleasure to work with and so honest, and knowledgeable! We are truly thankful for such a great experience and stay here at the Cancun Condo Plaza! We will be back SOON!!!! Thank you!

Just OK

I gave the condo a 3 out of 5 stars because although Sal was very kind and tried to be helpful the condo itself left a little to be desired. Upon booking we recieved a letter with sparce details about checking in and the condo itself. Nothing was mentioned about what the condo number was or the cleaning service which would be offered only every 3 days and a reference was made to a guide book which we could never locate. This guidebook would have been very helpful as you are practically molested walking down the street by vendors who want you to buy their items or sell you adventure tours. Further the shower did not drain properly and it took 6 days before maintenance actually came to fix it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and we realized when we were packing to leave some of the supports had been broken causing it to sag in odd places. The remote control for the TV never worked and we asked for it to be fixed multiple times and it never was. Not to mention a ridiculously small TV for that space. Finally, while all around Cancun most service personel speak enough English for visitors to get by, at the condo plaza this was not the case. The staff at the front desk did well enough but NONE of the other staff in the entire place spoke a word of English. We are in Mexico, I understand that. However the front desk was closed at random, inopportune times - ie 2 pm on Sunday. They had previously told us if we needed anything and the front desk was not available to have the security personel call them. Perfect, I have no problem with this. However after an exasperating game of charades and an attempt at broken Spanish with the security officer he continued to look at me with a blank stare and repeat "no se, no se." Needless to say, I gave up and our needs were not met for laundry on the day before we left - leaving us with soaking wet towels and clothing to try to pack home. The clerks in the conveniences stores also speak no English and do a pitiful attempt at an exchange rate. The beach is beautiful although you can not swim in ocean directly in front of the condo due to rocks. And the pool is nice enough. Overall I am grateful we went in the off season got a good deal on this condo. If I had paid the high season rate, I would have been very upset.

From start to finish it was a great experience. Reserving the condo was very easy and as soon as we arrived Salvador provided us with excellent attention. The apartment was in excellent condition. Our vacation was great and a very big reason for it was the great location close to everywhere interesting in Cancun. I will not hesitate to return using the same rental or recommend it extensively. Amazing view and away from all the tourism!

This is a great location if you want to get away from all the tourists and resorts. The room is amazing and well kept by the staff and owner. The view is simply amazing and you would have to pay top dollar to get this in a resort and the beach is literally steps away from the pool. Another great thing to note is that it is not crowded, there are no annoying crowds which is what we loved about this place. Having said that, here are a few things you need to keep in mind: *There are no shuttles that will take you into town. You will either need to take a bus or taxi. We rented a car which was super convenient for us. *You will need to buy your own groceries if you do not plan in eating at the restaurant. The cost definitely adds up if you eat there every day. We drove to Costco and stocked up on food and alcohol. *Currently, there is some construction going on to fix up the building. You may be woken up @ 9am when it starts. My guess is that it will be complete in a few months. *The secondary pool above the restaurant can only be accessed by paying a daily fee per person. We would have liked to pay a flat fee when we checked-in in order to get full access during our entire stay. This is why I did not add the extra star to make it a 5 start review. Overall, I highly recommend this loft! You will not be disappointed.
