Fully-furnished, charming 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom tudor home, with lovely backyard and pond. Peaceful retreat away from the city, yet short walk to the bustling Bethesda shops, restaurants and Bethesda metro. This beautiful home has a very open first floor living area with 9-foot ceilings. The entry way leads you into the formal living room with wood-burning fireplace - a wonderfully cozy place to relax , especially in the winter months. Off the main living room is a gorgeous study which looks out onto Leland Street through big bayview windows. The study couch can be pulled out into a queen size bed (which is where we host guests during the holidays). Off the study is a full bath with shower, sink and toilet. Right off the formal living room, you'll enter the open plan dining area which opens to a beautiful brand new kitchen and a very cozy family room with flat screen TV. This main area of the house is where you will find yourself hanging out the most. Beautiful windows all along the back of the house bring in lots of dappled light and give a great view onto the lovely backyard with lily pond. The pond is also home to more than 30 little goldfish. An outside table, chairs and grill allow for wonderful entertaining throughout the Summer, Spring and Fall. It you are lucky enoughto rent in April when our wisteria is in bloom - the yard turns into a magical wonderland that is truly mesmerizing.. But regardless of the time of year, you will enjoy the backyard and positioning of this home as it is one of the rare homes in Bethesda, Chevy Chase that feels as though it isn't crowded in next to its neighbors and that's because it sits on the edge of an elevated lot, which has lovely views out over the treetops of Bethesda. Tha backyard is also a great place for bird watching as they love to come for a sip in our pond.

A brand new kitchen was just installed in 2020, and is a wonderful place to entertain right off the dining and family rooms. It is bright and cheery and has wonderful views out of its glass french doors onto the garden and pond.

A staircase which is accessible from the formal living room and kitchen (thanks to a split landing) leads you upstairs to four very well-sized bedrooms on second floor. The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings and skylights with a great King-sized bed. The bedroom has beautiful windows looking out over pretty tree-lined Leland Street. The master bathroom includes him and her sinks, shower, tub and toilet. The master bathroom also has vaulted ceiling and looks out over the pretty garden. The three other bedrooms are a good size, two have queen beds, the last one has a double. The double bedroom has it's own small bathroom, which includes shower, sink and toilet. The other two queen bedrooms share a bathroom off the second floor hallway, with bath and shower, toilet and sink.

Off the kitchen, you will find stairs leading to the basement. Here you will find a small finished basement area with wall-to-wall carpeting. All basement ceilings are low, but it is a functional space for storage and washer and dryer. The small washer dryer room has an unfinished ceiling, but it is fine for basic laundry needs. We have a few locked storage rooms in basement, which serve as our owner's closets.

Aside from being a very charming, sunny and welcoming house, with lots of lovely spaces for relaxation and entertaining, this Leland Street house is located on one of the friendliest streets, in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Chevy Chase.
