Excellent stay

The place was bright and spacious with all the amenities for a month-long stay. The outside space was great, with nice shade from the foliage. The location was great within a few minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to Oistins and the grocery store. We had a most enjoyable stay in Barbados and would highly recommend this place.

This villa is awesome and close to the beach which we basically enjoy almost every day. Great location nice walk to Oistins. This was a great place to stay…..LOVE IT. The villa is much more fabulous in person. Definitely recommending this villa to family and friends.

Our trip to Barbados was absolutely perfect. Communicating w host was 10/10, and the house was perfect for our needs. The house is older but clean and comfortable. The location is amazing both as a base for exploring the neighbouring parishes and for its proximity to the beach. The outside shower was very helpful and the hosts were so great to deal with. A+ all the way.

Great location 20 min walk to Miami Beach local eateries, grocery store and bus service. We didn’t want to rent a car and found the bus service was great. Found a local named Malcolm Clark that took us on some amazing tours. Beds and furniture not super comfy but it is a rental. Hosts (Fiona and Hugo) and Manager (Eleanor) were great. Vacation Getaway!!

This was our first family vacation in years! Barbados was beautiful, excellent weather and amazing turquoise blue beaches. The property was exceptional in terms of size and space for my family. Beds were comfortable, excellent water pressure in the bath, furnishings just what we needed to have a great week. Our hosts were very friendly though we never met, they made contact before we arrived to ensure all was in place and kept in touch with us during and prior our departure. I would give this property an excellent rating only thing missing was a swimming pool for my water babies!!! But...Miami beach just a 3 minute walk was just as good!!

2019 Crop Over Girls Trip

The home is just as pictured. I think this is one of the better locations that we have stayed. Its a 13 minute walk to Oistions. 5 minute walk to Miami Beach. This was our 2nd stay at this location and will rent again. The owner is very prompt with answers to your questions. The air conditioning in the rooms are a definite plus. The Master bedroom does not always require the a/c unit. I slept 2 nights without it. The breeze was enough. It has cooking utensils and dishes. Its also walking distance to bank and grocery store.

Unfortunately we had a hiking accident and elected to return home to Canada for surgery at the end of our first week, having paid for a month. No refund was offered. The accommodations were okay, but the air conditioning was inadequate on the ground floor, with 2 noisy floor fans. Also there wasn’t really a view of the ocean. It is close to Miami Beach with great swimming.

Beautiful Barbados with gorgeous beaches with picture perfect turquoise ocean.

The villa was as nice as expected. It’s conveniently close to everything. There were a couple of glitches through no fault of Owner Eleanor. Glitches were rectified almost immediately. Covid19 caused quite a bit of tension but everything worked out just fine. Eleanor is a lovely lady. We would return in a heartbeat!

Memorable experience.

Our stay was beyond our imagination and expectations. With excellent accommodation, clean bright, spacious, and beautiful. Walking distance to the beach, shops and entertainment food and fun. Emjay Villas is a must experience vacation home for the whole family or group of friends. The owners are friendly and respectful. We have had a memorable experience with our distance family and friends reunion back to Barbados after 39 years, while celebrating my mother 75th birthday. AMAZING

WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH WE ENJOYED THIS PROPERTY. THIS WAS OUR 3RD HOLIDAY TO BARBADOS, I WASNT AWARE HOW CLOSE WE WERE TO THE BEACH UNTIL WE GOT THERE. IT WAS RIGHT DOWN THE STREET , YOU CAN SEE THE BEACH FROM THE FRONT YARD. THE HOUSE NEVER GOT EXTREMELY HOT , WE BOTH FELL ASLEEP MANY TIMES ON THE COUCH IN THE LIVING ROOM BECAUSE IT WAS SUCH A GREAT BREEZE IN THE HOUSE. THE HOUSE IS CLOSE TO ME TO TRANSPORTATION,WE WOULD STAY AGAIN AT THIS PROPERTY ,OISTIONS AND GROCERY STORE. WE WERE ABLE TO RIDE THE $2 BUS. ELEANOR WAS PROMPT WITH MY QUESTIONS. Great Accomodations

The property was very comfortable, affordable, and well-stocked. I believe the property was only 6-7 years old. There were 5 of us, and there was plenty of room. The Wi-Fi came in handy, since we all had Verizon with limited, expensive connections. The owners were available and extremely accommodating. The property was only 2.5 blocks from Miami/Enterprise beach. A fantastic beach, beautiful sand, clear water, and not overly crowded.

Adequate, fabulous, loved it!!!!

This location was by far a wonderful choice when I was searching for a great place for a group of friends to stay during Crop Over. The accommodations were perfect. The owner and her brother took excellent care of us. This was not my first stay in Barbados but my first with a group. We were given additional sleeping beds that were comfortable and adequate. The location is near all the spots one would need to visit while in Barbados. Thank you for a lovely home away from home Emjay Villa.

Wonderful Holiday!

This was an excellent place to stay for the start of our holiday. The house is really nice, with all the amenities you'd need for a beach holiday and is only a short walk to Miami / Enterprise beach. The host was responsive and met us at the property and showed us everything we needed to know. It is only a short walk from the house into Oistens and the fish market. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place to get away and enjoy the sunshine.

Noisy location

We (4 adults) stayed at the Emjay Villa from December 21, 2013 till January 4,2014. The house is located directly at a through road, with traffic night and day. The airport is close by and the house sits in the approach path resp. entry lane for airplanes. The worst thing are the neighbour's three dogs. They stay outside all of the time and they bark when a man or a dog walk by...night and day. As the house has thin windows you can hear the noise...sometimes it feels like the cars drive through your room. The furnishings are functional but old and well-used. No dishwasher. There is no aircon in the living room...it gets hot. Two of the three bedrooms have aircon, but one is very noisy, cannot use it. Unfortunately, the curtains in the sleeping rooms are very thin, so as it gets bright very early in the morning outside it does so in the sleeping rooms as well. The beach is near by, a walk takes like 5 minutes. For shopping, outside dining, however, you need a car. Walking to Oistins is possible but it is not a pleasant walk. Ostins is not a big deal, there are more interesting places on the island. All in all the house is ok, not expensive, but the location too noisy. We would not rent the house again.

Emjay Villas is a 3 bedroom Townhouse, not a hotel. It is a "Home away from Home". It is reasonably priced (Less than the price of ONE hotel room) and sleeps 6. Unfortunately these guest wanted the price but expected the amenities of a 4 star hotel. Emjay Villas is on a main road, but there is very little traffic at night and provides inexpensive public transportation and is a 5 minute walk to Miami Beach. No one has EVER complained about the Airplanes which are in sight,but NEVER pass Over the house and most flights are in the afternoon and evenings. If there was a problem with the neighbors dogs, I will address the problem with the neighbor. These guests requested heavier curtains for ONE(1) bedroom and the heavier curtains were promptly provided, but they never bothered to mention that. All bedrooms and the Living Room have ceiling fans and two bedrooms have AC. The 3rd bedroom is so breezy and cool that it is usually necessary to lower the window and that is the bedroom I use when I stay there. There are two additional floor fans which can be moved to any location. The house is approximately 4 years old, so how old can anything be? No complaints, except the curtains, were made while these Guests were there. I'm sorry that they did not like OISTINS, but that is a matter of TASTE. We have busloads of visitors going to Oistins every week end and they love it. I assume they liked the beautiful Miami Beach, but they didn't bother to mention that. They are the first guests to claim that they did not enjoy Emjay Villas or Barbados. You "Win Some and You Lose Some" as the Bajans would say. I will continue to provide a "Home Away From Home" for the Guests who are looking for a reasonable rate and a comfortable, spacious Townhouse to enjoy. I am always open to suggestions, and try to improve the Townhouse whenever possible. "Beautiful, Beautiful Barbados, land of the Caribbean Sea. Come back to my island Barbados, Come back to My Island and Me"

Great home away from home

This was the perfect place for my family. Three nice size bedrooms with a private bath for the master are upstairs. The master has AC and the other rooms have ceiling fans. The main level has a full kitchen dinning area and comfortable living room and there is a half bath on this floor so convenient. There is a parking spot for a car if you are brave enough to rent one but the beach is within walking distance as is the bus (right on the corner). WE cant wait to return next year!!!

Great Location - Very Nice Property

Our family of five, four adults and a teenager stayed from Apr9-13, 2012. The townhouse is very clean and nicely furnished. It was nice having a washing machine/dryer. We found it easier to hang our clothes outside instead of using the dryer. The kitchen is well-equipped. The 2-piece bathroom on the main floor was great because we celebrated my aunt's 92nd birthday and she was able to use the bathroom without trying to climb stairs. There are three bedrooms upstairs. I would suggest that there be 2 single beds in a couple of the bedrooms. We had to have a cot brought in so we could all sleep comfortably. The owner's brother was helpful in making sure we had wi-fi so we could work while on holiday. It is close to everything. We arrived on Easter Monday, which is a holiday in Barbardos. We just had to walk into Oistins to get food which is just 10 minutes away. Liked being able to get the ZR-bus for $2.00Bds. My daughter even walked into Oistins and took the bus to the airport. I would recommend this as a place to stay for a family or a group of friends. The beach is really closeby and nice restaurants are in the area. I would stay there again.

Thank you for your review. We are always very happy to hear that our Guests had an enjoyable vacation and plan to return at a later date. We also appreciate suggestions from our guests and try to make any changes that will make future guests more comfortable. We will be replacing a Full Sized Bed with Twin Beds,as suggested by one of our guests,as soon as possible. Come and enjoy this 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom Townhouse,close to the beach, shopping, banking, Surfing, Golf Courses, Restaurants, Transportation and many other amenities.
