Viola’s Cottage: River access- Scenic, Peaceful & Newly Renovated!

Prepare to relax as soon as you step inside this spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bath country cottage with beautiful views within minutes of downtown, Steelville. Viola’s Cottage has been newly renovated to include modern conveniences while maintaining original, country, charm.

Viola's cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway, family trip (children age 8 and under stay free) or travel with friends. The cottage overlooks our family farm and has fabulous views. You will enjoy beautiful, panoramic views of the farm, barn and hayfields. Featuring a large yard, covered porch, a deck, fire pit and covered picnic area.

To begin, enjoy the complimentary coffee & tea bar. Relax on the deck, complete with a dining set, covered porch or outdoor picnic area. If you are seeking an escape to the river, it’s only a short hike or drive (0.3 miles) down the hill to river access. Relax in the sun or shade and let the rippling sounds of the river drift your cares away. You may envision casting a line or skipping rocks. Bring your shade cover, lawn chairs and relax on the Meramec river.

Inside the cottage, our kitchen/dining room is spacious with gorgeous views of the property. The kitchen contains natural wood cabinets and a full set of stainless-steel appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven & garbage disposal. You will have plenty of counter space to prepare meals & snacks as well as being stocked with what you may need to cook a meal. Outdoor dining is available on the deck or under our covered picnic area, Edison/Bluetooth string lights with speakers provided and charcoal grill. Entertainment provided; Mini cornhole and mini washer games as well as many board and card games.

At days end, enjoy your cozy fireplace and settle into your leather couch. Enjoy your favorite movie on the 50” Smart TV with soundbar. As night approaches you will slumber in your spacious bedroom. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed, Full size Futon, Leather high back chairs with matching glass top table and marble top nightstand. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, desk & chair, reading table and two chairs. Bedroom fans provided. Black out shades provide you with the best sleep of your life and ensure you wake up refreshed. Each bedroom is set up for remote working if you require it. The living room has a full-size sofa sleeper.

Linens, towels and basic soaps are provided.

The only thing you need when you visit our cottage is food, charcoal & lighter fluid (if needed).

Steelville is nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and is on the Meramec River. The City's website says it's the perfect setting for outdoor recreational activities. They mention hiking, canoeing, and enjoying the spectacular views. That's before they get into Steelville's quaint Main Street which the city promises will take you back to a more gracious and elegant time. The Meramec River in Missouri Is the Perfect escape.
