It is considered one of the most pristine estuaries of international significance. Take an easy hike to a beautiful grove of Sugar Maple trees on the trail from the back yard. 11402 Homestead Drive is only one mile from Lake Michigan and a public beach(Sand Bay Park). We are a five minute drive to Ellison Bay and a small grocery store and ten minutes from Sister Bay. Public boat launch at Rowley's Bay is one mile away. Eight miles to Newport State Dark Sky park. Enjoy stargazing from third floor look out with 360 degree windows and skylights. See Northern Lights from the backyard deck if conditions are favorable. House is designed with hydronic heat in the floor on the main level and baseboard and towel warmers for heat on the second floor. There are three air conditioner units in the house, one on each level. There is no ductwork into the bedrooms. Since Door county nights are cool, most guests find the house temperature cool enough in the bedrooms. Main bathroom on first floor is wheelchair friendly. Only one step into the house. Three ensuite bedrooms have sleep number king beds with bathrooms featuring huge walk in showers tiled floor to soaring ceilings. Blu tooth speaker and color changing lights in each bathroom will give you feeling of being in a spa. Enjoy grilling out on the Weber grill or extra large Big Green EGG. Ooni pizza oven on the deck to make your own wood fired pizzas. Relax in the outdoor living area with gas fire table or in backyard with fire pit. Split wood is provided. This home has everything you need. Puzzles, games, books, binoculars, fans and treehouse toy in bunk room. There are two televisions one in an upstairs bedroom and one in the downstairs bedroom. Beach towels, folding chairs and picnic basket with plastic wine glasses and a bottle opener and plastic dishware available for your outings. We have nine bikes of various sizes and 4 kayaks for your use. We have life jackets for your use. Please bring your own bike helmut or they are available for purchase in Fish Creek at bike shop. Keurig coffee maker and Ninja coffee maker and filters in fully stocked kitchen including an icecream maker, mixer, bread maker and blender. (coffee pods provided)
We have Starlink unlimited high speed (90mbps, 9 Mbps upload) internet. Security camera on site outside of front door. We can accommodate 8 guests, no pets please.
