We stayed here with four adults and three kids under the age of 4 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids really enjoyed the large deck in the back. The half bath was located in a bedroom but we made it work. The property is beautiful and very close to Sister Bay. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was perfect for our family to get together. Siblings having a reunion. The outside areas were so relaxing and perfect place to visit. Enough bedrooms for all, kitchen well furnished, living room good seating area, and an added plus was a basement where we played games and could hang out. Only small disadvantage was one shower, but we easily worked it out. It was located so close to all we wanted to see and many restaurants.

We had a great time. The house is beautiful, and convenient to a lot of fun things to do. We used the grill and the fire pit, as well as the fully modern kitchen. We stayed here the weekend of July 22nd for a girls weekend. The house was clean and cozy. Great amenities including a cute little welcome basket. Sister bay lovely cottage

This property is a lovely cottage with outdoor areas, including large deck, fire pit and lawn areas. We were visiting family in the area and used it as a homebase. It is on a quiet road and yet very close to many Door County attractions. We would definitely consider booking again if the occasion arose.

We all loved it! It was so cute and comfy! We enjoyed the fire pit one night. The location was great. Close to town, but secluded enough to be quiet. The cottage has everything you’ll need. Even a gas grill. Our ‘just girls’ stay was so much fun.

A Lovely Spot

We traveled here for a ladies getaway and the space was lovely for our needs. There is a huge backyard that we didn't fully utilize on our brief stay. We spent most of our time in the cozy living room and the full kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The location is great with easy access to all of Door County's highlights. The only thing that prevented me from awarding a full five stars is that there were no curtains or blinds in the upstairs bedrooms and I was woken very early by the sun. This would be a simple but important addition.

Comfortable Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was heartwarming to know that this home was built by the owner’s grandfather and had been in the family for generations. You could tell that they are really proud of the place and Door County - cottage was kept in wonderful condition and bookshelves were full of interesting material on the area. Good location and very close to most of the places we wanted to visit - short car ride to the ferry to Washington Island. Kitchen was stocked with everyday items and beds were comfortable after a long day of activities.

Sweet Home

Plusses: Clean, pleasantly decorated, beautiful property, convenient location but out of the fray, adequately equipped, owner was easy to contact and prompt in replying. Minuses: Half bath on second floor is about as big as a card table and access is through a bedroom. Full bath on first floor was small and door could not be shut completely. Bedrooms were quite small. We were all in our 70's and 80's and would have preferred a lot more functional space. A lovely home for one young and agile family.

We spent a great ladies weekend for Mother’s Day at this home. The home is very clean and nice. They have a big backyard and patio with a grill. It was very nice. There is also a great finished basement with another table for dinner or game night and a bar downstairs. We didn’t utilize the outside as we were out and about. However, would have been fabulous for cooking out or having a fire! In the listing it did not share that 3 of the bedrooms were upstairs. The half bathroom is in one of the bedrooms upstairs which was not convenient as there is only one bathroom on the main floor and only place to shower. The upstairs bedrooms left a little to be desired and definitely could have used blinds or window treatments for changing in the bedrooms and also the light coming in at the crack of dawn. There was an ironing board but no iron. Also, the coffee maker didn’t work and left a huge mess of coffee grounds spitting out. Otherwise, this was a great location, quiet area close to everything and the house was really nice. Would stay again.

We wanted to follow up on your helpful feedback and share a few notes: -The blinds were temporarily removed due to damage from a prior guest, but they've since been replaced to restore privacy and comfort in the upstairs bedrooms. -The iron is stored in the master bedroom closet, inside the bottom left-hand built-in drawer near the ironing board. -We’re sorry to hear about the coffee maker issue. It’s been working well for other guests, but we'll double-check it and add clearer instructions to help avoid filter mishaps. Thanks again for staying with us—we’d love to welcome you back for another great visit!"

Sweet house in a lovely location

The house was clean and cozy :) My husband & I, our 4 kids (ages 13, 10, 6 & 3), and my in-laws stayed, and there was room for all of us. The sheets smelled clean & fresh, like hotel bedding. The kitchen & grill were nice & well set up, since we ate all of our meals at the house. It was also very handy to have the extra little powder room upstairs, and the washer & dryer downstairs. The backyard was really beautiful, and the fire pit was nice. There was no swing set, but the games inside, & the outside toys were much appreciated by our kids. The welcome basket had some thoughtful treats in it, and the house was in a great location - close to things, but far enough away that it was quiet. I docked a few stars on the check in section since we weren’t able to get into the house with our code. I contacted Vrbo & they figured it out, & we were then able to unlock the door with a different code. So it all worked out ok in the end. All in all we had a great time, & will definitely come back & stay again!!!
