Boasting with rustic coastal charm, Reel Blessing is the perfect place to stay for a Rockport, Texas getaway. Recently renovated, this one story home features five bedrooms, four bath comfortably sleeping up to twelve guests.

For days spent at the beach, travel just three blocks down King St. to meet the sandy shores. Feel like shopping? The home is just a few minutes away from Rockport's best shopping at the Heritage District. Reel Blessings' fenced yard offers privacy and space for the little ones to play. Take a dip in the private pool or hot tub with the beautiful oak trees providing natural shade. You can also choose to take a soak in the hot tub to unwind from the day. (Please note: There is a daily fee for heating the hot tub. The pool is not heated.) After the sun goes down gather friends and family around the firepit for fun stories and s’mores.

Retreat inside Reel Blessing and discover a large open floor plan. Settle into the comforts of the living room where you can enjoy your favorite show on the Smart TV. A chef’s dream kitchen is fully equipped with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and cookware to prepare a scrumptious meal. My family loved being all together in one house but not feeling like we were right on top of each other. The house was decorated nicely and quite spacious. The only issue we had was that the pool didnt get cleaned and the hot tub warmed before we got there. That was disappointing but they did come the next day and fixed the problem. Afterward we had an amazing time.Also, I realize not everyone will appreciate it but we loved reading the scripture verses on the wall.

Pool was not clean but we were told they had a storm the night before so that is why it was not clean. Once we notified the our contact they cleaned pool the next morning. We issues with the hot water also but someone also took care of that the next morning after arrival. Trash cans were full so we had trouble putting our trash in can.

Clean accommodating home for large group with well-appointed kitchen and private backyard. Close to shopping and restaurants. Easy ferry ride to Port Aransas beaches. Drive to USS Lexington worth it as well!

Beautiful property

Hot tub wasn’t heating properly, but owner responded quickly. The outside grill and fire pit were both burned out at the bottom. Couldn’t used fire pit, we used the grill, but it was dangerous with fire spilling out the bottom! Need to fix those issues, but otherwise great property! Close to everything and clean!

Fit our needs

I am part of a 4-person senior photography group that were visiting Rockport to capture images of the wildlife (birds). The single story layout was ideal for older legs. It would have been perfect if the four bedrooms were laid out a bit differently (3 of the 4 bedrooms were located in or adjacent to 2 master bedrooms - three bedrooms at the other end of the house shared a single bedroom) but we were able to work things out well. The bedroom furniture for the three bedrooms at one end of the house was sparse at best. Two of the rooms Had not chairs, only a nightstand that was not convenient. The kitchen and appliances were more than adequate. We were a bit disappointed in that even though we were told the hot tub was heated, it never warmed up. We did find the heater switch and checked it each night but no luck. Rockport, at this time of year is a bird photographers delight. Access to multiple wildlife reserves and state parts afford access to the many water birds that winter here. That includes the endangered whooping cranes that winter in the area of Goose Island State Park and The Aransas National Wildlife Reserve. All in all, we enjoyed the property and what the area had to offer.

Spring break 2024

The property itself is great! And a great location with many activities within 1-2 miles or a short drive to port aransas or Corpus Christi!! Would highly recommend you to hire a new cleaning/maintenance crew! Maybe it was a a one off, but was very disappointed in the cleanliness!! There were have eaten s’mores on the patio, Hershey wrappers strewn throughout the backyard and multiple bottle caps which one of the kids stepped on one while playing in the backyard barefoot. The pool was full of leaves and gravel. Was cold and took 12-14 hours to warm up. Thermostats on auto program and would reset to 80-82 both day and night. Always had to adjust! The floors were so dirty in the house- even from day one had to wear shoes or feet would be black on the bottom. We had a large crew so I expected that but not until the end of the week; not on the first night! Cleaning crew must not close bedroom doors to sweep behind as there was dust and garbage behind each of them as well. Dust on all the light fixtures that was enough to be very noticeable. Again, overall a great property just not cleaned very well! Would love some lounge chairs by the pool as well.

Mom’s 80th

Previous review commented about cleanliness so I brought this up with PM. Entrance way to the house is dirty - not the best way to start. Smudges on door frame and door. Flooring is all tile and is dirty. My feet were black after only walking barefoot a few hours. There’s a Swifter in the house but I bought a mop and pail to scrub the floors before my aunts arrived. I reported the lawn needed attention prior to check in but this was not taken care of prior to or during the stay. Grass was two feet tall in areas of the backyard. The pool deck area requires daily sweeping as does the pool. Pool temp is adequate and controls are onsite. Pool cleaner came one day and altered the valves so all the hot water I was paying for dumped into the pool vice the spa for about four hours. . House lights flicker when AC starts. Ceiling fan switch in living room works sporadically. Smoke detector in kitchen kept going off and had to be removed. Dishwasher alarm goes off when door is open and cycle has started. This was difficult locate as it was loud enough to be heard but not discernible. Dishes had to be run through the dishwasher as they appeared to have a layer of film. It looked like what forms after a bug bomb goes off. Dead roaches in dining room and bedrooms. Spider webs over dining room table light fixture. Cutting board with mold/mildew found in drawer. Gaudy gold plated flatware with gold coating flaking. Mildew on cutting board - moved outside and may still be by back dr
