Welcome to York Overlook! Enjoy this three bedrooms house for the entire family! Put the kids in the bunk room with a single over double bunk bed and a double bed, the kids will enjoy the primary bathroom complete with a shower and separate soaking tub to splash in. There is a second bedroom on the main floor furnished with a single over double bunk bed, great for kids or adults to enjoy. There is a hall bathroom with laundry room and shower also. Upstairs is the primary bedroom that is a true RETREAT with a king bed, separate sitting area, full bathroom and even a lovely balcony to enjoy. The house includes great spaces for recreation for all! the main living area is a fantastic OPEN CONCEPT space including a wonderful updated modern kitchen including breakfast bar seating. There is a cozy kitchen table and a large dining table along with comfortable seating to watch tv and movies. Enjoy AMAZING VIEWS from the full wall of windows. Outdoors features a porch overlooking the river and fenced in yard. The home is on a hill overlooking the river. Enjoy a fabulous dock with a launch for kayaks and a slip for your boat. Home is complete with everything needed to enjoy the water, kayaks, and paddles and life vests. Set up a picnic or play with the kids on the sandy beach by the river. There are outdoor games such as volleyball and cornhole, as well as a myriad of indoor entertainment including table shuffleboard, darts, foosball, games and table puzzles. Truly a WATERFRONT paradise for your family to enjoy.

For a money saving vacation, just stay onsite and enjoy your family time. If you want more adventure there are ample activities just a short drive away.

Great weekend getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in Gloucester. The property was as presented and we brought our small dogs with us who loved the completely fenced area in the back of the house. The views were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed getting out on the water!

great property with view

great view of York River, lots of amenities with things for all ages. Completely furnished , lots of games, books, utensils, privacy etc. for family members of all ages. You can sit and relax or go for a canoe or kayak ride. Just a really nice place. The owner manger was very helpful and seemed to really care about guests' experience. Stayed for 9 nights over the summer and had a wonderful experience.

Amazing waterfront property

My marine daughter wanted a girl cousin weekend before shipping off to Okinawa. They came from South Carolina, Ohio Maryland and Northern Virginia and this was an awesome place to meet and spend the weekend. So thankful to have had this time and perfect place to relax and have some fun.

Peace and Beauty by the River

We came to Gloucester to attend a family gathering, and this beautiful house was perfect for our needs. Mark is a kind and attentive host, the house is thoughtfully equipped (with even a "Just in Case" basket of personal care supplies), and it was wonderful to be able to watch the river from the common rooms. Family trip

Owners communicated with us prior to booking to answer a couple of questions. The home was very nice, fully stocked kitchen with appliances, dishes...(which we loved being we came from out of town.) Home had a lot of beds to fit all of us and a lot of seating in the living room area! Beautiful view from the living room, kitchen and back of house. Next time we come to Virginia to visit family, we would definitely stay there again!

One word - Awesome

This home was amazing. The house was well kept and prepared for a great vacation. Mark made the whole process so easy and was always so quick to respond to any messages we sent. The location is so great, from amazing sunsets, watching Bald Eagles, and great fishing. We could not find one negative thing about the property. Highly recommended for a quiet family vacation. We are already planning our return trip in the near future!!

Spacious, Charming and wonderful for families!

My family had a wonderful time! The communication w/the owner was excellent. The kitchen was fully stocked and many seating options. The porch and back of the house overlooks a panoramic of the water-just beautiful. The game room was a huge hit for kids/adults alike. The owner kindly provided firewood. We even caught a few fish off the nearby bridge. We loved it:)

Nice, but….

Nice property however needs a deep cleaning….refrigerator, under beds, sticky floors, and ceiling fan definitely needs attention. Nice area. The dining area antique table and chairs are not comfortable…the rest of the couches and chairs are good…lots of room and nice game room.

Relaxing along the river

The house comfortably provided room for three adults and two medium sized dogs. The fencing of the back yard was a true bonus for the dogs. We enjoyed relaxing along the river. We were completely surprised when we saw dolphin swimming in the river. The town of Gloucester offered quaint shops and a wonderful bakery/cafe (Sweet Tooth Cafe). Found great food at Olivia's in the Village and Lulu Birds Kitchen. Just an enjoyable week.

Just beautiful

I was absolutely pleasantly surprised how beautiful this home was. A lot of antique pieces was a thrill for me to see, and the dining room table...whew! It was such a lovely piece! We had plenty of room so we didn't feel cramped. The bed upstairs was definitely more comfortable than my own at home. We definitely didn't want to leave, and hooe to be back!

An excellent water front house for the ultimate getaway

It’s an excellent water front property with plenty of space for fishing and crabbing. The host - Mark - really helped us with his valuable inputs and it was very easy to communicate with him. Our group was interested in fishing & selected this property as it has shallow waterfront. Mark’s great suggestions helped us catch fishes and he was very friendly right from the very beginning - from reservation till check out. Enjoyed the sunset, sunrise and the great ambiance this house has. Planning to go back again with family - perfect house to have a family vacation as well as hangout with friends.

Beautiful sunsets, Great time, relaxing, enjoyable scene

We thoroughly enjoyed the views and experience of Chesapeake Bay as a family. The natural surroundings of the bay spoke to my need to connect with nature, US history, my family, and my partner. The house was accommodating and well kept which was much appreciated for a family such as ours that is extended, loves to spend time, and cook together. We had all of the luxuries of feeling at home but being away all the same, with the space we all needed for comfort. I would recommend this house for the accommodating hosts, house, and location. A retreat I look forward to returning to with my family for vacations to come. For those that don’t relate to my family situation, I would still recommend, there are many rooms for friends including a game room and a beach to hang. Loved it, will return!

Pretty cool property!

We stayed here during a visit to the historic triangle, Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown with our two daughters and two dogs. Maybe we didn't read it right, but we unexpectedly. We're thrilled to find a fence in yard. The dock was nice for fishing and while we didn't use the boats, it's nice that they were there as well. The house was clean and plenty big for all of us. It's about 40 minutes to Williamsburg and a little further to Busch gardens but we were able to have all the amenities of a riverfront property and not be too far from all those attractions. A+
