Our home is located on the Sacandaga Lake providing beautiful sunsets/sunrises. We are less than 35 miles from Saratoga. Wells, Speculator, Indian Lake and Blue Mountain Lake are other fantastic places to visit. Ample opportunity to hike, fish, swim, bike, kayak/canoe, ski, snowmobile or just relax.

Charlie’s Haven was a lovely place to stay for a couple of days. A clean, cozy and well appointed space perfect for a couple. The views were wonderful for both stars and sunrise. Sandi wrote to assure us of anything we may need. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again… thank you!

This was excellent, absolutely beautiful view. The inside was immaculate, and very homey. The hosts were very kind, attentive and made sure I was comfortable. Fabulous view from the deck, where I watched the stars twinkle while sipping tea. Thank you! Fantastic stay!

Very well appointed unit. The description is perfect. The location right on the lake was absolutely lovely. The way that the owner has outfitted the property makes it so comfortable, just like you're in your own house.It was really quite lovely. I would absolutely stay here again.

Peaceful retreat on Great Sacandaga Lake

From the friendly greeting by our owner and her two gentle pups, to the owners’ help with connecting our laptop to their WiFi, to the daily visits of the goldfinches and hummingbirds—we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was truly home away from home. Sunrise and sunset are spectacular. Watch birds or gaze at the stars and the moon. You can skii on the lake, conditions permitting. Lapland lake XC center is about 15 minutes away.

The location was wonderful. It was very clean and well-equipped. It has a deck looking out at the lake where we sat and ate. We spent most of our time sitting on the beach in the back of the property. It was quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. The split system AC in bedroom was silent. It had everything we needed. The owners were responsive and very friendly. We couldn’t ask for anything more.

Just what we needed

Place was exactly as described- plus very clean. We had total privacy but the host was available if we needed anything. We selected it for the location right on the lake , and the great view from the deck & kitchen table. Weather was rainy but we didn’t care. We rested, read, ate, decompressed and took a break from our daily lives. It was just what we needed. We are going back in July and are already looking forward to our stay!

Lake bliss

Totally enjoyed the space. Our view of the lake was spectacular. It was the right size for 2 people. Piece of comfort and home. Efficient and clean. Host was there if needed, and let you enjoy their space. We enjoy watching Lake Sagandaga. It takes on so many different views via cloud formation, color and weather. This place provided the place to enjoy the scenery and let us unwind.
