This is a wonderful spot to stay. We really enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and woodpeckers from the deck while drinking our coffee. Lovely, friendly hosts too.

If you are looking for a nice calm and peaceful place to relax, this is the place to go. Although the owners live above the cabin, you didn't feel like you were with other people. The cabin has its own private balcony with a table, four chairs, and two chairs you could lie out on. We spent a majority of the time sitting on the balcony enjoying the views and watching the hummingbirds. There was plenty of room in the cabin and a full working kitchen. I 100% recommend this house. It is an ideal place for a laid back vacation.

Angelo, our host and property owner, is really a great guy. We had several conversations which included: Weather, water, rain collection, construction, history of Mt. Lemon, his plans for the future and much more. The view is spectacular and the deck is huge and accommodating. A great place to stay! We'll be back... The kitchen is well provided also.

Beautiful mountain retreat. Home was clean and very accommodating with all necessary items for a weekend get away. The view from the deck was spectacular and close to town. We enjoyed everything about the stay and the owners were very kind!

Birders: THIS is the place! This is a wonderful place for anyone -- comfortable, well appointed, with great hosts -- but especially for birders this is an excellent property. From the deck we saw pygmy nuthatches, a Virginia's warbler, pine grosbeaks, spotted towhees, three kinds of hummingbirds, a very busy family of acorn woodpeckers, and more. Enjoy!

We had a great couple of days at the house. The owners were super friendly and helpful, and everything was just as described. The best part of the house was the covered porch/balcony with the views of the area. It was very quiet, so we could hear (and see) the local bird population. We mostly came up to the area to see the night sky and got some great views through the clouds. Summerhaven is a cute little area with the famous Cookie Cabin and good local restaurants, if you don't want to cook. There are loads of trails, if you enjoy hiking, but we didn't have enough energy to do much, just enjoyed the location.We hope to be back!
