Amazing

This was a fabulous place to stay. It is even more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. The host replied quickly to any of my questions. The location is also amazing. Right on the beach and a short walk to many fabulous restaurants, shops, cafes and bars. I highly recommended staying at the White House, it was perfect!!

House is beautiful, clean and in a safe neighborhood. Perfect location on the sidewalk leading to shops and restaurants. Christine and Gerald (House caretakers) are good responders to any of your needs. This is a fantastic location for a family or group of friends desiring to stay in Placencia!

Beautiful views from the top balcony. Definitely need a breeze in Placencia and this place has it. The property has everything you need and more.

Paradise on Paradise Street!

This was a beautiful house in an incredible location. We were so happy with the ocean here - we traveled with young children and the waves were very calm and the water was warm and shallow. Renee provided pool floats and noodles, as well as a kayak and stand-up paddle boards. The location was perfect - we could walk to everything but still had a very private, very quiet beachfront. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was tons of bug spray, sunscreen, medicine, kitchen supplies - everything you could need. We were very happy here!

What a view!!!

We stayed at the “White House” for a week and loved it. The view of the beach and ocean is truly spectacular and we really enjoyed the wonderful breezes off the water. The house is well built and furnished with an organized and well equipped kitchen. Check in was easy. We will definitely be back.

Paradise

This is our 5th or 6th tine to stay at the White House. How appropriate it is located on Paradise Street as it is truly Paradise! The owners, Kirsten and Per, are amazing! The best hosts! Their property manager, Eduardo is excellent, always available when we needed anything. Highly recommend. The White House deserves 10 stars!

Fantastic home right on the beach.

This was our second trip to Belize with our young adult children. The house was awesome and was just as advertised. The views from the expansive back deck were amazing. The master bath has an outdoor shower which was one of our favorite features. The property managers are wonderful and provided us with a home cooked meal, complete with a freshly baked pie, on our first night. The home was equipped with everything we needed for the 9 days we stayed. I would highly recommend the White House.

A little piece of heaven

This house has all you could want. - Renee is one of the most communicative hosts I’ve ever had. She’s so kind and responsive. And she knew everything about the area and was generous with her information.- the house is charming and well stocked! There are also just lovely extra touches that made it even better.- the location is excellent. Right on the Placencia sidewalk! The beach was right there! She has beach chairs and towels and water mattresses and tubes. Truly anything your heart could desire.- The pool access is actually a beach club about 2 minutes walk on the beach or a 3 minute golf cart ride. It’s 5 American for the day. - the only thing barring us from perfection was the seagrass but that is obviously not something any host can control. It’s a beach-wide issue. We still swam! We entered by the beach club and it was easy!

Perfection in Placencia

My wife and I decided to take our moms to Belize and found The White House online. The listing made it look like the perfect place -- near enough to walk to everything, but far enough from it to be quiet. After booking, things only got better. The owners are not only super communicative, they go well out of their way to make sure your entire trip is stress free. Renting a car and driving from Belize City? Their step-by-step instructions, complete with interesting sights to see called out by mile marker, is just one example of how easy they make it. They also had a cute, useful, and tasty welcome gift. The house itself is amazing. And, yes, the location is perfect. Beach out front. Grocery at the head of the road. Three minute walk to Placencia Beach Club and fifteen minute walk to the municipal pier via the sidewalk. Though, honestly, we could have stayed on the veranda the entire trip. Oh, and be sure to book at least one night with Monique, the chef who will come to the house and cook for you. We're already thinking of returning to The White House.

Perfect location with everything you could ever want!

Our family had its first time experience in Placencia staying at the White House and it was fantastic! When we first arrived, the weather was perfect and the water was warm and beautiful. We all enjoyed a swim! Even as the weather deteriorated throughout our stay, we continue to enjoy a beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. The longer we stayed, the more we realized we had the perfect spot in Placencia Village. We never even had to rent a car or golf cart! We could walk everywhere! Also, a huge convenience that was not common to many rentals is that we could drink the water in the house! That made our stay so much more relaxing. The people and the food were fantastic but for one unfortunate experience buying fish from a woman named Brenda at the pier. We had tummy troubles after that, but in speaking to our caretaker, Nick, just before we left, she is notorious for selling unsafe fish. Beyond that, everything was amazing! We especially loved the Pickled Parrot on trivia night and Rumfish for lunch. You MUST have the lion fish carpaccio at Rumfish! The people were so friendly. And Kirstin was so helpful and responsive! There is no place better to stay than the White House in Placencia!

Incredible location and facility

The White House in Placencia is a perfect residence for exploring all Belize has to offer. Kirsten will make sure you have a treasure trove of information on the house, the village and excursions. She arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and taken to the house. We were in Placencia for only a short time having stayed the previous week in Punta Gorda but we could have had many of those experiences, zip lining, birding, Mayan ruin trips, chocolate making with excursions from Placencia. Kirsten recommended a guide, Matthew who lives down the street to take us snorkeling to reefs around Silk Caye which was an incredible experience. The proximity to groceries, a pharmacy and the start of the famous sidewalk are literally down the street. Although there's golf cart rentals for those older members of the family for longer trips into town. It was hard to not just rest on the balcony from experiencing the gorgeous sunrise to taking in the cooling breezes. The Wi-Fi was strong and uninterrupted. There are large screen smart TV's but we never turned them on, even with two grand children, there's just too much nature to take in. We were two grandparents, two parents and two children and the house worked perfectly for all age groups. If there was a slight downside, the 4 instead of 5 star rating, it's that we are in the midst of a Sargassum seaweed blooms all along the coast that you currently have to contend with. Hopefully that abates soon. That's a minor inconvenience though and easily forgotten with all the other amenities Placencia has to offer.

Tropical Peace and Paradise

We had a wonderful stay at the White House! The house is clean, comfortable and in the perfect location. Its private sand area and beach front location is perfect to hang out for the day. Easy to walk along the beach to the center of town or walk the other way for a nice sandy stroll. Monique cooked for us several times and she knows the local cuisine well! I highly recommend some meals at the house. Eduardo, the property manager, was friendly and helpful. You always feel there’s someone to call if you need them. Priceless for our first time there! I highly recommend this place If you’re looking for a getaway! It’s perfect.

Exceptional service

The home was extremely clean and well appointed with all of the amenities you could need during the stay. There were also several local snacks and beverages on the counter and in the refrigerator for us upon arrival. There was also a local cell phone there which we carried whenever we traveled to the local attractions she recommended. We never needed it but it provided great peice of mind. The owner kept in contact in the week's leading up to the trip and notified us whenever COVID requirements changed.

This was our 4th time to stay at the White House and as usual it was amazing. Kirsten and Per are wonderful hosts and their on-site staff is superb. I hate to leave another 5-star rating as I think they deserve a 10-star rating! If you want to feel like you are at 'Your" home for a short getaway or long getaway, highly recommend the White House. Fantastic experience

I cant say enough good things about this property and the owners. Everything was taken care of as if we were at a resort. Eduardo was an amazing caretaker and extremely helpful. The owners kept in constant contact with us to ensure simple travel during a difficult time of Covid. We cannot wait to get back. One of our best vacations ever!
