The location was perfect, the management company was extremely responsive when contacted over a couple of issues however the unit is in need of some attention. The furnishings were worn and some items were dirty.

Excellent location

We absolutely loved this property. It’s exactly as described. The back screened in porch overlooks the beach and there’s a back door leading to the beach, which is awesome. Super clean and we would like to stay again. The area of Holmes Beach is very quiet so it was perfect for my husband and I.

Perfect locale on the beach!

Ideal location - prob least crowded portion of the beach. Waters are a clear blue/green and there are many fun shore birds to watch. Powdery sand, not many shells - but a drive to Lido beach isn’t far and has tons of nice shells. Recommend Hurricane Hanks and Ginny's & Jane E's Cafe and Gift Store!

Fantastic location on Holmes Beach!

We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations and location of this property. The accommodations were just as they appeared in the description. The location on the beach was phenomenal! We walked right out onto the beach everyday and our area was never crowded like the resort and public beach areas appeared to be. This was our first time visiting and would book the same spot again. Our only suggestion would be to bring a fan for the bedrooms, as they didn’t get the air circulation as other rooms did.

Great Location

We loved staying at this condo. Having breakfast with an ocean front view was amazing. The beach was just a few steps away. We had some issues with the internet and microwave after the storm, but they were solved in a timely manner. We just wished we had four beach chairs instead of two since the condo sleeps four. The decor is a bit dated, especially the bathrooms, but everything was very clean. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Amazing location and unit

My family and I truly enjoyed every minute staying in this house and how convenient and beautiful the location is! We spent every day going back and forth from the beach at various times, as it is just steps away. The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment for every possible need. We did not experience any issues with the AC as others have mentioned, it was working quite well so it must have been fixed! The property is located nearby Trolley Station 13 and we enjoyed using that service at times. Property management was very attentive and checked in to ensure we had our questions answers and that we had what we needed for our stay. Check in and check out process was extremely simple and convenient, and we enjoyed having a door code so that we did not have to keep track of a key. All in all would highly recommend staying at this property and appreciate a wonderful stay!

Great condo/needs new/cleaned furniture

The property and property managers were great. The only complaint is that we were not comfortable using the living room. The chairs were dirtier than anything I’ve ever seen. So much so that the arms of the chairs were black with stains also on the couch. We knew it was “outdated”, but did not realize how dirty the furniture would be.

Perfect view of the ocean and beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gulf Shores and will definitely be back. Location was perfect and close to town and grocery stores. We rented bikes and used these to get around. Checkin was a breeze and property manager was very easy to communicate with. Thank you for a great stay.

Holmes beach

This was a perfectly outfitted unit, comfortable seating and great beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Very quiet beach traffic. Nice beach chairs etc. In storage room. Wished for an elevator when bringing in baggage. Although it was cloudy and rainy most of our time, it was still very relaxing and we definitely would come back.

Condo need a lot of repairs

The condo needs a lot of work to repair issues, you sent out a maintenance man who did nothing that was asked of him. Ant on Lanai, sliding glass doors if shut completely won’t reopen That why one door was open at check in. A/c needed to run a lot more to keep up. Vehicle blinds were missing a lot of blades. Other were torn all he did was repair with metal clip one torn one. Other blades were in master. Bedroom closet. Other issues addressed with Mgr over phone. Refrig set to Max cold so it froze up all items we put in Refrigerator/toilet runs on and off. Bugs in unit hall bathroom and laundry room and adj hall.

David, I'm sorry that your stay was not a five-star experience. If you would like to discuss this review in further detail, we would be happy to do so. The vertical blinds had been replaced on June 10th, just before your arrival, so I'm not sure what was broken on them. When we sent someone to fix the toilet, they were told it was working fine and didn't need to be looked at any longer. We would have been happy to have addressed the other issues you mention in your review had we been made aware of them during your stay. Once again, we are sorry we fell short of your expectations and our own.

Location wonderful was clean but could use some updates. Blinds don’t work well sliding door very hard to open. Washer didn’t get given until end of trip which was frustrating. Laundry room door slats falling off. Overall we still loved the location and place and would rent again in the future if available

Holmes Beach @ Gulf Shores

Great location right on beach. Very nice screened in lanai and gorgeous view of the Gulf! Beach was quiet in this area. Close to shopping & restaurants. The unit needs some maintenance. Vertical blinds broken, slider doors not working well & stove top has some bad burned on spots that affect cooking. The size of the unit is bigger than it looks in pictures! Good place to stay for 1-2 weeks.

Deb, thank you for your review of Gulf Shores 106. We have had blinds on order for this unit, but with COVID, manufacture/delivery has been very slow. Same with the stovetop and getting that repaired. I'm sorry for any inconvenience and I'm glad that these minor items didn't dim your appreciation of the gorgeous views of the Gulf from this property. Nice condo, better lanai!

Nice condo that is accurate to the online listing. As others have said, the decor could use some updates and the master bedroom mattress was just ok. But it is a very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath condo that is perfect for a family of 4. Every room has a television and the washer/dryer was a nice extra. The best part is the huge lanai with the perfect ocean view. One thing that would make the lanai even better is a larger table so you could eat a meal as a family. The current one is too small for that. Last comment is not about the condo but directed to Anna Maria Vacations, the management company. Providing only 1 trash bag per can is not reasonable. Visitors, especially those of us that fly, do not want to buy a box of trash bags so that we have the additional 1-2 needed for the week. And If we do buy a box, what do you do with the excess when we don’t pack it for home? Every other condo we’ve ever rented at least puts 1 extra bag in the condo per can. The supply of dish detergent, paper towels and toilet paper was sufficient for the week.

David, thank you for your comments regarding Gulf Shores 106. We will be happy to pass them along to the owners, but please remember that this is a private residence and is furnished according to their tastes and preferences. I'm sorry that you did not have enough trash bags. We do provide a list of what is and is not included in our starter packet as part of the terms and conditions our guest sign so that they can plan accordingly. I will be happy to suggest leaving an extra bin liner with our cleaning companies and housekeeping manager to make this a non-issue in the future. We hope that we will be able to welcome you back to our lovely little island as our guests.

Great getaway

Loved the direct access to beach and the broad lanai. The unit is dated but very functional.

Very enjoyable

The location is positively perfect! The size of the unit allowed some space for personal time. The property manager was exceptional, following through promptly with aby issues.

Great location

This condo is close to everything, most importantly, the beach!! You are right on the beach. Great view from the lanai. It rained a lot the first few days we were there so we spent a lot of time on the lanai. The beach was great. Lots of room to store your chairs, etc. Tge beds were comfortable and the condo was clean. It’s a bit older, but it’s been well taken care of. Anna Maria is a great place to get away from everything and relax. We would live to come back someday!
