Thanks, Chris! Glad you enjoyed your stay. One of the favorite features of our place is the proximity to the LAX airport - only 10 minutes by taxi. After a long flight, the last thing you want to do is fight LA traffic to your destination.

Chris: I'm so sad to read your review and wished you would have allowed me the opportunity to make things right during your stay. Unfortunately, the weather in LA this summer has been a bit warmer than usual. I will plan to replace the portable fans. I will also install a portable AC unit in the master bedroom. And yes, the property was built in 1932 so the stairs are a bit steep. Note to our future guests: Our VRBO page includes 30+ pictures of the property (including the stairs) and a video walk thru of the entire apartment. Andrew: I am dually disappointed and shocked by your review. Disappointed because I consider myself the type of host that is very responsive and more than willing to go above and beyond to make sure all of our guests have an enjoyable stay. It's truly unfortunate you didn't have a better experience. Had I known that the air temperature was unacceptable, I would have happily installed the window AC unit that is available for all guests. I regularly check the weather and personally felt that the forecasted 72 degree high and 64 degree low was ideal. Lastly, I'm shocked that you included rude comments about our long term tenant's choice to rent a lovely 1 bedroom apartment by the beach. She is a fabulous guest that has lived with us for over 5 years. She is quiet and always on the go, either working offsite or playing at the beach. When she is at the property, she thoroughly enjoys meeting all of the amazing international guests that we've hosted for the past 15+ years. Hence, the 45+ five star reviews.
