Deluxe unit at Casa De Emdeko: VERY spacious, complete renovated unit, at this Ocean Front complex. Tastefully appointed 920 sq ft . apartment. Ocean views from spacious covered Lanai, view of pool tropical gardens! Open floor plan, with spacious kitchen.

Owners have added a half bathroom in 2025! Enjoy a common area bathroom in addition to the Bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. VERY unique feature for Casa De Emdeko units!!

Casa De Emdeko also has one of the few oceanfront pools where you can swim and soak up the warm Hawaiian sun while watching the whales or dolphins play, depending on the season you visit. Swaying Palm Trees on our private sandy sunning area at the oceans edge offers glorious sunsets with a special sense of serenity. The popular Cabana, BBQ's, and Lanai tables are perfect for dining gatherings with friends and making new friends from around the world. Renovated Kitchen and bathroom, the Bathroom features a large walk in shower! Washer & Dryer access at the complex in Community Laundry room, but not inside the unit itself.

Our Stay at the Casa

The condo was roomy and met our needs. It was a short drive to downtown and a good launching pad for exploring the Island. The kitchen provided all the amenities we needed. It was nice to barbecue while overlooking the ocean and eating in the outdoor patio area.

Loved Big Island!

Very nice apartment with beautiful grounds and fantastic swimming pools! Gated parking was a fantastic bonus and the location was perfect for a launch pad to explore the island! Short walk to town, close to shopping beaches and airport. Unit was stocked with everything we needed (except coffee, but that was forgiven, just make sure to grab some from KTA first thing if you are a coffee addict). Comfortable bed, the cooler got a lot of use, enjoyed drinks on the patio!

The salt water pool was closed the entire time we were there which was one of the reasons I booked it. There was no washer/dryer in the unit which I thought there would be.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic time, the rental was very clean and welcoming. I wish it would have had some things like a washer and dryer, even though it was provided for cost, it would have been nice. And the fix for the shower drainage, it just needs a grate drain put by the opening and it wouldn’t hold water so badly in that area. Also, one other thing would be some beach chairs to take to local beaches. But overall we loved the place!!

We listened to the birds as we sat on the deck each morning with the beautiful landscape and ocean views. The pools were nice and clean. The ocean front lounge chairs were great for reading and listening to the ocean. The owner of this unit was SO gracious providing foils, pool noodles, spices, cooler bag. The bed was comfortable and shower head was great. The mgt company provided very accurate information and were responsive. We couldn't have asked for more!

Great stay in 230

We stayed in this condo for 2 weeks; we felt right at home. The remodeled bathroom is very nice, the space was good, and the lanai was amazing. You have a nice filtered view of the ocean, a swimming pool outside in the courtyard, and palm trees swaying everywhere. We had three in our party, and we had plenty of space. Communication with Knutson and Associates was easy; check-in and check-out were easy. As far as the condo goes, it has everything you need to feel like you're at home: pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and seasonings. The only recommendations I would have for the owner or the managing company are to replace the mattress on the couch, as it is very flimsy and hard for a 16-year-old boy to sleep on. Also, the air conditioning sweated so badly it dripped the entire two weeks we were there; we had to put bowls down for the condensation. We notified the management company, and that's all we could do. The two pools were great; the one by the ocean is a saltwater pool, and the one in the main garden is a freshwater pool. It was nice to wake up in the morning and swim in the saltwater pool and then go to the freshwater pool to rinse off. We were lucky enough to be in the saltwater pool when the waves would crash over into the pool. The owner has supplied many beach and adventure items in the house and in the storage outside the front door: snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, mats, coolers—anything you would need for a good time is already there.
