Beautiful, renovated, bright 2 bedroom lower level separate apartment, in quiet private residence, lovely Takoma Park, DC. Fully stocked kitchen, new appliances, W/D, comfortable beds (queen & trundle (use as one or convert to 2 twin sized beds). Separate entrance, alarm, live stream wide range of TV channels on your device or on TV in unit, fast Wi-Fi, workspace. Near Takoma Metro (10 minute pretty walk), 1 block to bus lines to downtown DC and to Silver Spring, MD. Grocery (Whole Foods) & pharmacy within 5 minute walk, on-street parking or park on our parking pad.

Janell is an excellent host, very responsive. The location was perfect for me, especially since I stayed for a month. Easy access to transit, Whole foods, Safeway and Target. Walkable area. The unit was comfortably furnished, nicely laid out, and had a lot of windows. The kitchen was well equipped. I would stay there again.

Fun visit!

We had a great stay, overall, and the hosts were very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. You can tell the hosts really care about keeping the apartment in good repair. We appreciated having access to a full kitchen and washer/dryer for our trip. There's a ton to do and explore in the area- our 4 year old liked the National Aquarium most!

DC Stay

The owners were incredible at accommodating this last minute for a trip to visit our son. Perfect size for 2 adults and 2 children. The unit had everything we needed to make this a comfortable stay. Great location between Ft. Mead and DC.

Our stay was amazing. Our hosts have a cute place to stay. It's within walking distance to the metro. Janell was willing to answer questions we had. We are already planning our next trip to DC and want to stay here again!

Great location

The VRBO was perfect for our one week stay in DC area. the metro bus was around the corner and the metro red line was less than half mile walk. The bedroom set up was perfect for our two kids. The hostess was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We loved our stay.

Most comfortable place to stay

We stayed for almost a week at the apartment. It was very comfortable and included everything anyone might want. The location was great. Quiet and safe neighborhood with restaurants and stores in walking distance. It was easy to get around using public transportation. The hosts had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Everything looked newly remodeled and clean.

Fantastic apartment

The apartment was very clean and exactly as pictured online. Lots of extra touches that are not often seen in other VRBO: a basket of snacks, salt, pepper and spices for cooking, extra bath towels, laundry detergent, etc. It was an easy walk to the metro. Janell was a great hostess and we would definitely recommend her apartment to anyone visiting the area.

Long-ish stay for renovation

We are a local family of 4 and our home was being renovated, so we booked this property for almost 2 weeks. Short version: it was perfect. Playground was short walking distance. Groceries, restaurants, and park all a short walk. Donut Run and Lost Sock coffee were walking distance. Quiet neighborhood. Everything we needed was in the apartment. Truly a fantastic property with terrific owners.

My sisters and I (all in our early 60s) stayed here for 3 weeks while the youngest had and recovered from surgery. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Any questions we had were immediately addressed. The hosts were there to show me where to park and unload on the first day, then made a point to be respectful of our privacy and responsive to our every need/special request. The neighborhood was new to us, and we enjoyed its centrality and amenities. It is safe, walkable, has easy access to Safeway, Target, CVS, and Whole Foods (both by foot and car), and has fabulous restaurant and food delivery options. We could not have found a better location to be ensconced for 2 weeks of 24/7 work, recovery, and rest.

Nice unit

Janelle is kind and warm. We stay in the remodeled unit in the basement. They were very quiet upstairs. The beds were comfortable and clean. The pots and pans are in good condition. Plenty of bath towels, pillows and blankets in the unit. Within one to two very short blocks to bus stops. Very convenient. Love our stay!

We had a lovely stay. We were fortunate to meet Janell and Norman coming home one evening and they were so very sweet. They b were also easy to contact and communicate with. We were close to shopping as well as the University of Maryland where my son was attending a conference for the week. We have a large truck and the parking pad was really convenient so we didn't gave to find street parking. We appreciated this option. We were able to drive into DC very easily from this location. We enjoyed restaurants in Takoma as well. Our kids enjoyed being able to have their own space opposed to staying in a hotel. This apartment has all the comforts of home and we did cook breakfast in mornings and simple dinners a few nights while we stayed here.

Close to convenient transportation (Metro and bus lines to downtown DC) and grocery (Whole Foods and Safeway) and a pharmacy (CVS) are within close walking distance. Redevelopment of the Walter Reed Campus has brought evening events in the summer -- music, plays, yoga -- a new playground for children, and a new ramen restaurant -- Jinya.
