This is a great cottage right on the water. Cleaning and well stocked. If we go back to Eleuthera, we will definitely stay here again!

Amazing house w sunset views in southern Eleuthera

It was a Perfect, cozy, super clean & comfortable house for a family of 5 get away for the week. Comfortable beds & linens, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances and so many extras including beach chairs beach towels & snorkel stuff to name a few. Very thoughtful modern decor and a great deck for us to gather to watch the beautiful Bahamian sunsets. The host communication is excellent, and the fully stocked local grocery store a few minutes away had everything needed including gas for our rental car . Highly recommend and would Definately return again.

Very nice accommodations

As you visit the beautiful island and meet the warm and wonderful people - proximity to sites and markets is important. The sand cottage is nestled in between a few great restaurants and markets so perfectly convenient. The house is well maintained and clean - while the floor creeks and beds are a bit harder than I prefer the home is well stocked and you can see the care in ownership to maintain a lovely retreat Great for two couples or small family - the team was attentive to ensure the stay was enjoyed - I do think anyone staying in Rock Sound would enjoy this place !

It was a great house and well equipped and amazing views of the ocean and sunset. The only downside side is with the frequent power outages in Eleuthera a backup generator for the property is a worthwhile investment. 5-6 hour outages daily almost totally ruined the vacation. Everything is electric, including the stove, so you can’t even cook and eat. It was hard with 2 toddlers.

Great little cottage

Cottage was beautiful. Everything you would need to have a great stay. Grocery store, gas station, liquor store good restaurants, beautiful beaches within a few miles. What more can you ask for?

Every thing we needed

This had good wear and everything we needed. And if we didn't want to cook we either went to Frigates or drown down the road about mile Or less to Sammy's place. That food is the BOMB. The beds were comfortable the place was clean and it just over all great.

Sand Dollar is beyond perfect!

Sand Dollar is the perfect place to stay. It made our honeymoon wonderful beyond our expectations. The home is so comfortable and had everything you need and more. We will look forward to staying here again. The peace and quiet was what we wanted. Having Frigates bar and grill next door was also great and their food is phenomenal.

Perfect Cottage for 2 couples

The cottage was perfect for us, beautifully decorated, very clean, and very well equipped with anything we could possible need. The management was very helpful when we ended up arriving late, even keeping the grocery store open after hours for us. It's a very quiet remote location with a view of the lovely Rock Sound. Having the grocery store within walking distance was great!

The Perfect Place

The Sand Dollar cottage was the perfect place for us to explore South Eleuthera. The cottage is well equipped with all that you need for your stay. The air conditioning was the best we’ve had in the Bahamas. We brought our inflatable paddle boards with us and each day after we came back from exploring we put the boards in the water right there at the house and enjoyed a drink at frigates, without the worry of driving. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I almost hate to say it was fabulous because we want to keep this wonderful spot to ourselves! The kitchen was well stocked, the best market on the island is a block away too! Sunsets were magnificent!! The only thing that would make our stay even better is two hammocks under the beautiful flowers on the deck for a nap! Thomas and Chandra are such gracious hosts! Beaches were close and we explored a different one every day! GET an SUV as the roads to the beaches call for it. This is NOT a spot for those who need nightlife but if a beach, a drink and a sunset make you happy it’s your perfect spot.

Great Place!

My husband and I stayed here with another couple. It was so nice that both bedrooms had king size beds and en suite bathrooms. The place was clean and well stocked. The location is close to a few places to eat. Frigates is right out your front door. There is a couple markets nearby that had a decent variety of items which was nice as we did do some of our own cooking. We used the grill that was provided and it worked great. There was an added bonus of a BEAUTIFUL flowering tree that spreads across the rail of deck on the south side. I noticed several people stop to take pictures of it as they passed by. The dock outside the property allowed us to see starfish, stingrays and plenty of other fish. The location is also in walking distance of the Ocean Hole and Cathedral Caves. We also enjoyed time at a beautiful Pink beach which is just a few miles away. We had it all to ourselves. We used Eleuthera Outdoor out of Tarpum Bay which was a quick drive and the tour was excellent. We had gone to the north part of the island one day, which was fun, but it did get to be a long day of travel in the car. It was nice we had plenty of other options of things to do that were close by. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have had issues with have issues again! I used only because we liked the Sand Dollar Cottage so much. The Cottage owner was AWSOME. Highly recommend booking Sand Dollar Cottage, if folks could use another booking agency. issues:1. Could not address a LATE ARRIVAL2. No information that we should wait until a week before to get any info on arrival.3. could not provide an address. Cottage owner had to tell us they don't use address in Eleuthera.I give 5-stars to the Cottage owner.4. Rental Car by Taylor and Taylor was a disaster. We were supposed to get a SUV. Several were listed on Taylor's website. We required extra size for oversized luggage. They showed up with a Buick ENCORE. Totally unacceptable. We had to fold down the back seat to fit luggage into back. So three adults and five bags and three carry-ons were jammed into the car. A very UNSAFE condition. We requested a larger rental after arriving Rock Sound from North Eleuthera Airport. Taylor refused. THE RENTAL CAR EXPERIENCE RUINED OUR VACATION IN ELEUTHER. NEVER GOING TO USE TAYLOR AND TAYLOR OR AGAIN!!!
