Absolutely loved the 'get away' from the hustle and bustle...far enough out of any town to enjoy the solitude/quiet/nature/livestock/country critters. Quite entertaining to observe from the front porch. Probably our favorite part of our stay was on the front porch when we weren't hiking the nearby State Parks.

Everything was perfect…..the hostess was excellent…the cabin is clean, well stocked, and allowed for a very restful stay….we loved being so close to nature….just bring your toothbrush, everything else is provided.

Adorable little cottage nestled on the property of the host. They own a large ranch with cows grazing the field. It felt like my dream came true or waking up to a large grassy field with cows and roosters crowing. This city girl loved every minute.

Great location, especially if you plan a trip to Colorado Bend state park. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch which overlooks a large field; plenty of hummingbirds, cattle and just the pure beauty of the outdoors. The cabin is very well equipped, clean, with plenty of amenities if you forget something; even toys for the kiddos! Sylvia stopped by for a chat and gave us some history of the property. Nearby Lometa has a great Mexican restaurant; we added a trip to Fiesta winery to finish our trip. Thank you for a memorable visit!

Charming property in a quiet, rural setting. The rooms were spacious and welcoming. Our host thought of our every need. They stopped by to say hello and ask if there was anything else we needed. We appreciated having plenty of soft, fluffy towels. Really enjoyed relaxing on the back porch, watching the hummingbirds and the cows mosey by. Oh, I almost forgot to mention star gazing at night - spectacular! Convenient to Colorado Bend State Park. We will be back!

We loved this cozy cabin. Host was very friendly with a beautiful property. Cabin had all the amenities we needed including kitchen with utensils, shower needs (shampoo soap), and wifi. Cabin was cozy & clean. The perfect retreat after a day at Colorado Bend State Park. Highly Recommend! Book this GEM :)

The hosts greeted us upon arrival! Very friendly and welcoming! The house itself is super cute and decorated to really feel like a farmhouse. My favorite part was sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs and just listening and watching the birds! There was even a pair of Red-Shouldered Hawks nesting in a nearby tree and they were very entertaining! Very beautiful place!

Relaxing place to stay close to Colorado Bend State Park

We chose this place due to its location near Colorado Bend State Park. It was a wonderful place to stay and relax. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the hummingbirds and other wildlife. Check-in was easy and communication with the host was timely and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Country Cabin

Super cute, cozy country cabin. We absolutely loved it! The swing & rocking chairs on the front porch were perfect for watching the cows and deer in the mornings and evenings. The Colorado Bend State Park was right down the road, along with a couple wineries to choose from.

Great cozy cabin near Colorado bend state park

This cabin was wonderful and cozy. It was the closest accommodation to the Colorado Bend State Park. The host was polite and helpful. We really enjoyed the stay and the hiking at the park. Will hopefully return next year.

Great get-away spot!

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is your place. It’s close to Colorado Bend State Park, as well as Lampasas. The cabin is comfy and has a home like feel. The hosts are so kind! We will book here again when traveling to this area.

Unfortunately, the property was NOT what we expected probably the reason they don't provide pictures of the outside of the house instead only a very small part of the front porch. The home looks run down and appears to be a shack from the outside and inside looked very much like someone just decided they would move out and leave belongings behind to rent out. My friends and I did not feel safe due to the home being left unlocked with key on counter, yes, we were in the middle of nowhere but as single women we did not want to enter a home that was left unlocked and there was someone staying in a tent within eyesight of the house. When we entered the property, we notice the porch appeared unsafe as it was held up by rocks and cinder blocks (when we told the owner they said we were not supposed to go that way? It was the front porch and front door) and this was where we would have actually spent the day. The smell of cleaning products used to hide the smell of something else was quite off putting and overwhelming as well. In the end we decided as a group that we did not feel comfortable staying at this house and found another location nearby. I have stayed many places using this site and this is the first bad experience I have ever had also the first negative review I have ever written. Disappointed.

I did not know guest had not stayed in the cabin and only when I reached out to see if they needed anything the second day, did she say it did not suit her and wanted their money back. Nothing substantiated her claims so money was not returned. Also, no tents are allowed on property, so don’t know what she saw.
