We can provide private chef's services onsite (dinner for six, $300), and the nearby Artemis Lodge (now open) is available for group events, weddings, retreats and corporate escapes.

Breathtaking

We explored Texas for 16 days and had our best time in the 3 days we stayed at Tys Ranch. Everything was perfect. The lodge, the Ranch itself, the animals and Ty and his wife are 5 Star. We would recommend it for everybody.

Amazing Time

Ranch is stunning. Started seeing wild animals as we entered the property. Cottage was immaculate with hot tub and pool. Incredible host who took us around the property. The giraffes and rhino were the best! Sat drinking coffee in the morning as the antelope came within 20 yards of the porch. When hiking the animals would stay closer so we could enjoy seeing them. Highly recommend Artemis Ranch!

Amazing Ranch and Cottage in TX Hill Country near Lampasas

Our recent stay in The Vista Cottage on the beautiful Artemis Ranch was incredible! Not only was the cottage - with its pool, hot tub, grille and fire pit outside - perfect for our stay, but the cherry on top was a safari tour led by the ranch owner, Ty, of his amazing ranch filled with exotic animals. We were even able to feed the giraffes and the rhinoceros! We couldn't have felt more welcomed!A huge thank you to the Owners, Ty and Leslie, and to Kaili, the Property Manager.

Wonderful safari cabin!!!!

Me and my family recently stayed in the cottage for three nights and had the best time. The cottage was very modern and clean. We loved the private pool and hot tub. The property is just beautiful and full of free roaming safari animals! The kids (and adults!) loved seeing the animals roaming around. We hiked around and drove around to see them. Ty, the owner, was the nicest man and host and checked in on us. He and another employee took us on a tour to see the animals. We got to feed the rhino and the giraffes and it was all included in out stay. I can't say enough good things about this place and our stay! You definitely should stay here. Zero issues. We will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely Amazing!

This property was nothing less then extradentary! As soon as we entered the gates we were blown away by the beauty of the ranch. This was the perfect family get away to relax and unwind. My children loved all the different animals you can see and interact with, especially, Giraffes, Rhino and Zebras. My children preferred Artemis Ranch over Disney World, we will be back!

Above and beyond!

This is a wonderful place. The house seems new, and it’s beautiful inside. The exotic animals were all so healthy, and easy to see roaming around. Feeding the 4 giraffes was a lot of fun, and the Grevy zebras were especially unusual for us . If I could, I’d give this place and its very friendly owner 10 stars!

A perfect family weekend

Sneak away to the wild

We were looking for a peaceful escape and this fit the bill. Everything was as described. It’s a bit of a hike through the property to get to the cabin but that’s definitely part of the charm. Paradise in Texas

Peaceful, remote and beautiful!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Artemis Ranch! Ty was an excellent host, and the cabin was beautiful. We noticed all of the fixtures and materials used to build this cabin were excellent quality. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The pool was gorgeous, and the hot tub was excellent after a day of hiking in Colorado Bend State Park. We loved the clear skies and bright stars here as well! Seeing exotic animals roaming around freely was also a treat. What a special place!

Most Unique Stay

I was looking for a rental that was unique and our cabin stay at Artemis Ranch was our best stay in Texas! From the moment you drive in, you’re transported to an African safari. The ranch is massive. We took a 2 hour tour and got to see many exotic animals roaming around free. My boys were in awe of the zebras, the rino and the giraffes, who they got to feed. The cabin was equipped with everything you need including a pool, hot tub and fire pit for snores. My personal favorite was the many little personal touches to make your stay feel special like snacks for the kids and breakfast items. We received VIP hospitality from Ty and Bill which elevated our stay. My sons want to go back for summer break since we didn’t have time to fish. If you’re looking for a unique experience full of excitement, stay here. You’ll have a hard time deciding which activity to do because there is so much and they are all so much fun!

Wow, what a place!!!

We spent a few days visiting friends in Lampasas and chose Artemis Ranch as our home away from home. This is the most amazing place with comfortable lodging and amazing views!! From the sunsets, to the hot tub and pool, from walks around this beautiful ranch to the many cool exotics we encountered, I simply can’t say enough good things about this property!! An amazing getaway not too far out of town!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was very rural and quiet with all the amenities of home and more! The sunsets were spectacular while relaxing in the hillside pool. You will also see exotic wildlife throughout the property. They kids loved going down to the stocked pond and catching fish off of the dock. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place and we will definitely be back. Thanks Ty for opening up your ranch and allowing others to enjoy it!

A dream ranch stay

We were looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay in the country and we found Artemis Ranch. We stayed in the cottage on the property and I could immediately tell the difference from other vacation homes we’ve visited in the past. The owners really care about the guest experience. There were 2 bottles of wine and a basket full of snacks for the whole family: coffee pods, chips, candy, etc. The fridge was full of bottled water. The cottage was immaculate, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything I needed to cook a nice dinner. Everything was top of the line, including the awesome pellet grill. The hot tub was amazing and looking out over the property with the sky at night and the lit trees at the lodge was beautiful. We were able to fish and catch bass in the lakes. I enjoyed hikes on the gravel roads over bridges and hills with great scenery. The best part, however, was Ty (the owner) so graciously taking us on at least a 2 hour tour of the property and all the animals. My 3 boys were just amazed at everything- including feeding the friendly Rhino, Giraffes, and a sweet deer named chocolate. I don’t know how we will ever top this Vrbo- we felt so welcomed and like VIP guests. Ty is a genuine guy who just loves this property, all his animals, and hosting guests- and to quote him “what’s the point of having all this if you can’t share it?” Thank you Ty!! We will be back!

Amazing Eco Ranch experience.

Immaculate property. Massive ranch. Too many exotic game to count! Used pit and free mesquite for amazing grilled steaks at the end of the day. Jacuzzi was perfectly clean and relaxing. The pool has a sunbathing end. Nicely lit. Balcony overlooks pool and hill country. The owner Ty came round multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our stay and one day took us on a 2.5 hour atv tour. Yes the ranch is that big.

Amazing Property

Let me start this by saying, I was heading to Lampassas for a family wedding and was looking for somehting a bit more than what the local hotels had to offer. Safe to say, objective completed. I cannot say enough about Ty, Leslie and their team/property. I hate to write a review this well because I know all of the ATX crew will eventually see this and make it impossible for me visit again. If you're looking for the ability to drive 5min to a Starbucks, do not come here. If you are looking for a 2mi drive on a dirt road from the main road to an amazing cabin in the middle of an 3700ac ranch/game-preserve with the best night sky you have seen with pool and hot tub, this is your place. The owners, Ty & Leslie, and their entire team were nothing less than the most hospitable hosts one could ask for. Upon arrivial, driving back to the cabin, I saw at least 5 different African game species, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Later on in my stay, Ty & Leslie were kind enough to take our small family group on a tour of the property to see nearly 30 species of game and 2.5mi of the Colorado River. Also, be on the lookout, Ty is nearing completion on an 11 bedroom, 13,000sqft lodge on the property that will be a premier location for special events off the beaten track. My wife and I are both from West Texas. We lived out of State for about 25 years but returned to our Texas roots. We love hosting guests and sharing our beautiful ranch. Trying to create a special place is what excites us. We have just opened our world-class lodge featuring 11 guest rooms, a beautiful library, great room, chef's kitchen, wine cellar and spectacular patio and views - unrivaled in the surrounding area. The ranch was the perfect place to create a world class resort. It was in major need of care and investment - putting things back to their natural state. We have cleared over a million invasive junipers (cedar) and have reseeded hundreds of acres with natural grass/plant seeds. We currently have 27 species of exotic animals that roam the ranch. The ranch has over 100 caves (sorry, for safety only professionals can go in most of them), 2.5 miles of riverfront, a major wetwater creek, numerous ponds, ridges, gullies, rills and gorges. You'll experience thousands of beautiful live, red or post oaks.

There are so many unique things about the ranch. It is one of the darkest places in Texas with night skies so dark and beautiful that you feel like you can touch the stars. And if you can't then it is probably due to the full moon that you can almost pluck from the sky. The sunsets are gorgeous and make for perfect outdoor grilling over a mesquite fire, and yes we will provide you with an ample set of mesquite. Great steaks are available at the local butcher shop. Unlike the concrete jungle of the city, the evenings and mornings are very pleasant even on the hottest day. We have 2.5 miles of riverfront, 27 species of exotic animals, hiking, biking, fishing and exploring. If you are looking for a beautiful, serene setting where you can enjoy nature and spend time with close friends and family, then this is the place. And to top it off you have your own private pool and hot tub complete with lights and bluetooth music connected through your phone. The ranch borders Colorado Bend park on the South and West, and near 2 great wineries. You can visit the Bend for live music, take a short trip to San Saba or just enjoy the ranch.
