This historic property is over 200 years old and has been restored with much love and care. The added interest is in the placement of the stepped site and the double-curved grand stairway leading to a masonry bay centered against the front gallery. The original yellow Danish bricks throughout the exterior have been preserved and allocated with great attention to detail, providing a truly unique experience. The floors are original old pine, restored thanks to many months of work preserving their impressive longevity. Located just 1 block from the boardwalk, The Moko Jumbie Historic Suite features 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The entrance of this suite features a kitchenette with historic Danish brick from countertop to ceiling and around the beautiful large windows. Upon walking in, you are greeted by a place to put down your things and adjust to the space. The bathroom has floor-to-ceiling Carrara marble and a glass shower. The bathroom windows have a beautiful view, looking out into nothing but private greenery. This stay is equipped with a split A/C unit in the main room to ensure your comfort.
Please be advised that the interior space of your lower-floor unit is designated as private. The outdoor grounds are accessible to the general public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. A shared laundry room on the lower floor is available to guests during the aforementioned hours; however, alternative access times may be arranged upon request.
It is important to note that while efforts have been made to enhance user-friendliness, the building's preserved historic nature precludes wheelchair access.
