The owner of this gite lives on-site and apparently has his place of business there as well. As per numerous signs in the gite, guests are not allowed to have visitors and are instructed to confine themselves indoors or in the dismal communal barbecue area, some 70 meters away, including stairs. There is a small table and six chairs, plus two armchairs, to be shared by the occupants of the three gites. Despite there being a huge terrace in front of the house, when we asked the owner if we could bring a couple of chairs to have coffee there, he messaged back saying 'We don’t allow chairs or table in front of our house because I have very important clients coming to my office and it would not make them comfortable having people outside.' Despite the photos of large inviting grounds, we were thus confined indoors during 29C heat. This was disappointing as the property is nowhere near the lake and the town has nothing of interest. Additionally, even though the owner lives right next door to the gite, he did not come out to greet us or to say goodbye....we were there for five days.I think that if people value their privacy so highly, they should not be running a holiday rental business from their home.

Dear Adrian thank you to leave us a review so we can say something too. Guests are not allowed to have other guests because we care about privacy and safety. Do you like to be in vacation in a place and be disturbed from others in your space?? I dont think so. The house has a BBQ and garden area really beautiful which is dedicated just to the house you stayed and another small (2 people) apartment in the property. There is no huge terrace in front the house, where did you see it? there is just parking places for cars, do you want to have a coffee between cars?? and the question is, why? you have garden and BBQ area with amazing panorama and lot fo sun to enjoy. Of course I told you to not drink a coffee in the parking area. The property is in an amazing location and if you are smart enough to use just a little bit technology, like google map, you can see where is exactly located. We have technology today in 2025 :)....and we are 8 minutes from Como and Como lake, we didnt write that we are ON THE LAKE. Please be more intelligent than this. During your stay I was out for business, thats why I wasnt there and I'm so sorry that abvioulsy you felt completely lonely. Maybe enjoing life and sun in the most incredible and luxury property in south fo Switzerland is not for you. You should find a way to be more happy and less complaining for nothing real.

Yes because you chose to stay in the SUNSTONE house and not in the LOFT you booked. They are two different, very different places
