Hi Merrill thanks for the feedback! JFYI, there is a DISTINCT difference between our local palmetto bugs and brown roaches, beyond the extreme size difference. Brown roaches (which the home is not privy to) live inside and are usually of a hygienic concern with the home or a guest introducing into a home). Palmetto bugs (which you are referring to) live outside, and travel in if doors are left open and crumbs or foodstuffs dropped to feed them. Seeing one here and there is unavoidable. Seeing numerous is likely a sign of how the home was utilized during your stay. Feel free to utilize a basic web search as well! Although we did prep you with a little of the flora and fauna well in advance as you mentioned :) The NC Coast is the convergence point of wildlife as far North as Canada and as far South as Central America. Def. not home for the squeamish! :)
