Paradise by the Camelback Lights: Ski-on/ski-off, pool/ping-pong table
This renovated 3 story house is just a few minutes' walk to ski on location. We will also send you a guide to the area with things to do nearby. The house is also conveniently located at parking lot level.
The house is set up with the guest in mind, we have a large dining table to seat big groups, pool/ping-pong table, fireplace, outdoor grill, 3 large TVs, PlayStation, stocked kitchen, outside grill.
We are family and pet friendly! We offer a highchair and baby/pet gates.
The Space Kitchen Includes a stove and range, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee beans and electric bean grinder, electric kettle, instapot, toaster.
The cabinets are stocked with plates, serving bowls, utensils, pots and pans, salt, cooking oil. We also provide paper towels and dishwashing soap.
Living/dining room: Over-sized couch, balcony, large table and 65" TV with Playstation, fireplace. The table also converts into a full-sized pool table and ping pong table.
Bedrooms: Top floor bedroom (loft): One Queen bed, 48" TV, privacy blinds Bottom floor bedroom 1: One Full bed, One twin bunk bed Bottom floor bedroom 2: Two Queen beds, 50" TV
Entertainment: TVs: Livingroom 65" TV, downstairs bedroom 50" TV, and 48" upstairs bedroom TVs use Roku and include a Netflix and HBO streaming accounts. There is also access to live TV by selecting "Pluto" on the Roku. Guests are also welcome to login to their own Hulu, Showtime, or other platforms on the Roku.
Dining table/pool table/ping pong table: There is a very large dining table that can seat 8 people if pulled out (or 6 in current position). This table can be converted into a pool table or ping pong table by removing the top. Balls, cues, and other accessories located inside the bench next to the table. The kitchen also has a smaller table.
PlayStation: comes with two controllers.
Bathrooms: There is a private bathroom in the loft, a half bathroom on the main floor and a downstairs bathroom shared by those two bedrooms. All bathrooms include body wash, liquid hand soap, shampoo and conditioner as well as toilet paper.
Grill: We have a grill in the patio with grilling tools. We provide the propane tank which we do our best to keep full, but occasionally guests will need to refill them.
Baby/pet gates and high chair: We are a pet and family friendly house. We have a high chair and baby gates that can be used to keep kids and pets confined to certain areas of the house.
Heating: We have heating thermostats located throughout the house, so the temperature can be customized in different rooms.
Cooling: We have air conditioners in the common area and the bedrooms. The ACs will be usable from late May through the end of September.
Parking: You can park 2 cars in front of our house and additional cars in the overflow lot.
Amenities: Heated pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, indoor and outdoor tennis court, indoor basketball hoop. These amenities are located at the community center at 601 Camelback Rd (5 min walk from the house, or 1 min drive).
There are numerous hiking trails and lakes in PA within a short drive. During the summer we recommend guests checkout Camelbeach, the waterpark next door to us, which is absolutely amazing and perfect for kids, as well as Aquatopia, an indoor water park 5 minute drive from us open all year round. We will send you a guide to the area prior to check in.
Refrain from rearranging the furniture. There will be an additional $50 charge to your account. The pet fee is $30 per night for the first dog and $15 per night for each additional pet. Please do not move the portable AC units, as they are fixed in place and moving them may cause the hoses to disconnect.

Location, location, location!
Home was lovely and in a great location; quiet, walk to everything, and neighbors were friendly. Everyone thought the beds were very comfy and bathrooms were adequately supplied. For a family of adults that like to cook, the kitchen was not stocked well. I recommend having more cookware and basic cooking utensils as well as wine glasses, drinking glasses(not plastic). Overall, a great stay!

Christmas Eve trip
The host was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. The dining table/pool/table tennis was functional but not in great condition. It was however a great source of entertainment for my 4 teens in my group. My brother in law enjoyed the wood burning stove as well. The location of the unit to the trails did not quite make it ski in ski out, but the trails also were not open to allow for that. The unit had ample beds and rooms for our group of 9 people. It was as we expected and comfortable for our needs. Host was great at responding to our needs and requests.

Not what we expected
While the location was great for easy access to Camelback, the rental was not clean (kitchen cabinets (inside and out), countertops, dishes, walls, bathrooms). We ended up buying our own cleaning supplies and a few of the amenities listed (Netflix/HBO) were not available.
Walls were thin to the point we could hear the neighbors using the bathroom.
We appreciated the quick responses prior to and at the beginning of our stay.

Cozy House
Stay at this property for christmas weekend with friend and absolutely loved it. The place was clean before we got there and had nice amenities. The beds, bathrooms, and kitchen were nice and clean. The location is great as it’s a shorter than 5 minute drive to the camelback ski resort. The community is great as well very friendly and non intrusive. The host was very kind allowing us to check in a couple hours early and check out an hour late.
Potential improvements:
- Although the place is very clean, the walls could use a new coat of paint
- The pool table was missing a ball and several of the sockets were missing their nets, making it impossible to play
- Wish the ping pong table had a net to use with it
Overall I would highly recommend staying here for your next trip with family and or friends!

Disappointed by lack of key items. Only three bowls (we planned meals like oatmeal, chili, pasta for 7), no dish towel, no extra trash bags, no dish detergent, no shovel for snow, etc. Location was very short drive to resort but don’t come for ski in/out - far end of neighborhood and two hills are tough to traverse in ski boots in snow, impossible with kids with skis. Not very clean - had to buy wet swifter and kitchen drawers and pots not clean. Dishwasher only opens 1 foot because too close to oven which made access tough. Otherwise as advertised, warm, nice fireplace, easy checkin, and close to mountain.

We did not receive any communication about the issues you encountered until after your departure.
For your convenience, additional trash bags are provided in the garbage bin beneath the one in use (a total of three bags). To prevent stains on the hardwood floors, we kindly ask that snow boots be removed before entering the living area.
Please note, the dishwasher will only function if the oven door is fully closed. The kitchen is equipped with enough bowls and dishes to accommodate up to 10 guests.
Lastly, the slopes are just 0.5 miles from the house, and snow removal is managed by the community maintenance team.

Disappointing Stay – Misleading Listing
I wish I could say we had a great experience, but unfortunately, this rental was a huge letdown. The listing was completely misleading, and the reality was far from what we expected.First off, there were only four towels for ten people—completely unacceptable. The listing claimed there would be plenty of essentials, but we quickly ran out of toilet paper and paper towels, which was frustrating.The bedding situation was just as bad. The sheets smelled like someone’s perfume and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. The towels also lacked that fresh, just-washed smell, making us question how thoroughly anything was sanitized.The kitchen was laughable. The pots and pans were ancient, scratched up, and barely usable. And if you’re a coffee drinker, bring your own because what was provided was the bare minimum—definitely not enough for a group of ten.To make things worse, the place was full of death trap rugs that constantly slipped and bunched up, making it a hazard for anyone walking around.Lastly, the pictures in the listing were deceiving. The place looked much nicer online than in person, making us feel like we’d been duped.Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again. If the owner actually took the time to provide the basics and clean properly, this could be a decent rental, but as it stands, we were incredibly disappointed.

The guests had no concerns during their stay and even shared that they thoroughly enjoyed their time at the property. Our home is meticulously cleaned and disinfected before each guest's arrival. To enhance safety, rugs are placed to prevent slipping on the tile floor and are replaced monthly. The kitchen is fully stocked with essential cooking tools, which are regularly refreshed.
We provide towels for all guests, accommodating up to 10 people, and supply three rolls of toilet paper per bathroom.
Unfortunately, this review appears to be in retaliation for my decision not to provide a partial refund on short notice. I am committed to maintaining a clean, comfortable, and well-kept space for all guests and strive to address any concerns promptly, often on the same day.

Disappointing Stay - Not as Advertised
Left much to be desired! Listing portrayed a charming & well-maintained home, but reality was far from the images provided. Overall cleanliness was severely lacking, with visibly dirty woodwork & walls throughout, and an overall run-down condition. Kitchen, advertised as fully equipped, was anything but, featuring old, cracked plastic glassware, & heavily scratched pots & pans. Appliances were smeared, drawers disheveled, & crumbs in cabinets, causing us to question the overall hygiene of the space.
Pool table, a key feature highlighted in the listing, was worn out with cues held together by tape. Linens provided did not include washcloths. Fireplace, advertised as a cozy feature, appeared to be disrepair with ember screen not attached properly, causing us to question its safety, rendering it unusable for creating a warm atmosphere.
Downstairs bathroom's worn-out vanity & hair stuck to the wall further contributed to the impression that the property lacked adequate care & cleanliness. The stark contrast between online images & reality left me questioning the integrity of VRBO platform.
Despite accommodating 10 guests comfortably & having a desirable location near Camelback Mountain, property's outdated amenities & lack of maintenance overshadowed its advantages. Advertised as ski in/ski out, proved unrealistic given Pennsylvania's limited snowfall.
In summary, poor cleanliness, outdated amenities, & overall disrepair, questions the accuracy of VRBO listings. Disappointing!

We ended up leaving this property a day early because the experience was very different from what was represented in the listing. The home felt poorly maintained and much more worn down than expected, with peeling/worn furniture, and several maintenance issues throughout the stay.The upstairs loft area was extremely hot and impossible to comfortably sleep in, even with the fan running, while one of the downstairs bedrooms became very cold at night due to a window that did not seal properly. The dishwasher also could not fully open because of the kitchen layout, making it difficult to use.Cleanliness was another disappointment. The dining table and placemats were sticky, there were crumbs when we arrived, and overall the property did not feel clean or comfortable for a holiday weekend stay with family.We also felt the listing photos were misleading. The main photo prominently shows a pool table in the living room that is no longer there, and overall the property does not reflect the condition presented online.Most disappointing was the host’s response afterward, which focused on defending the property rather than acknowledging or taking accountability for the concerns we experienced during our stay. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property based on our experience.

The home was properly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival, following our standard preparation process for every guest. We take cleanliness very seriously and wish we had been informed during your stay if anything did not meet your expectations, as we would have gladly addressed it right away.
The temperature in the home is regulated by thermostats located on each floor, allowing guests to adjust settings for comfort during their stay. We wish we had been notified during your visit so we could have helped troubleshoot any temperature concerns immediately.
Regarding the pool table, it is still available at the property and is located within the convertible dining table. It has not been removed from the home.
