Most Beautiful Stay Ever

'Hakuna Matata' was our best stay ever. The villa was incredibly beautiful. From the moment we walked in the views, architecture, and attention to detail in all parts of the villa were spectacular and the best we've ever experienced. The villa was also maintained, stocked, cooled, and cleaned as good or better than any place we've stayed...(including stays in Italy, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, France, and most of the US). Absolutely gorgeous.

Reviewer Comments: During our stay at Hakuna Matata, we enjoyed the fabulous accommodations with breathtaking views.The property is extremely maintained and stocked with everything from welcome snacks/drinks to beach gear and anything else you'd need during your stay. Our family enjoyed a combination of lounging by the pool to grabbing the gear and taking in the beautiful beaches. Locally we shopped at the market and patronized some small restaurants in Coral Bay. Overall phenomenal getaway and my family would like to go back again someday! PLUS - I'd like to give a special thanks to our greeter Winnie who met us by the car ferry, made sure we had food prior to going to the house, and escorted us to the home! We appreciated her kind demeanor and guidance!

The home is idyllic, in regards to location, amenities, cleanliness, view and layout.Indeed, it took a lot for us to leave to see the island, esp my young grandson and HIS pool and spa ! We spent most time at cinnamon bay due to the proximity, but drove all over the island with our jeep (a necessity. We could not imagine staying anywhere else on the island that would have the character and charm of this location.The only negative is the unavoidable mountain roadways - just go slowly !! The only glitch was the automatic gate stayed open one at one time -- a call to the Catered to Vacation homes office and a crew was immediately dispatched and problem resolved in an hour.

Incredible in Every Way

Our greeter, Abby, met us at our Jeep rental establishment, Aqua Blu (Natasha and the Aqua Blu team were so great!) and escorted us through town to John Head Road into the beautiful gate of this magnificent villa. Our hearts skipped a beat as we entered the courtyard and viewed all of the amazing palms and flowers. Abby took us through the home room by room, pointing out all of the details of the exceptional craftsmanship of this home. The kitchen was recently renovated with high end finishes and a professional Wolf stove which we enjoyed very much. This home has 4 incredible master suites with outdoor showers, air conditioning in all rooms and a backup generator, which did come on for several days of our 2 week stay....we were blessed! We thoroughly enjoyed the amazing views of Cinnamon Bay and beyond . Absolutely incredible! We spent the evenings on the covered veranda enjoying the peepers and birds. Our 2 year old granddaughter had a great time looking for lizards every day and found a large hermit crab in the garden. We made great use of the pool , which contrary to previous reviews, does get a good amount of sun until late afternoon. We’ll never forget that our granddaughter learned to swim underwater here.The location is superb-5 minutes to Cinnamon Bay Beach, and 7 minutes to the Windmill Bar, around 15 minutes to Cruz Bay and just a little more to Coral Bay and Newfound. The weather was great, rain every day for a few minutes, which we loved. The beaches and snorkeling were excellent. We used Landlubbers Logistics for provisioning prior to our arrival and lasagna dinners from Chef Tony for our arrival day dinner. We went out fishing on Justfishstjohn and caught Mahi and tuna which fed us 3 nights. We used Island Baby for our supplies for the 2 year old. We will definitely be back to Hakuna Matata! Best 2 weeks of luxury living!
