Great location!

We recently stayed here as we were in the proces off moving our daughter out of her college dorm into an apartment - the space was as described and perfect for our dogs as there is a fenced in yard. We would definitely stay again!

Comfortable Home in Great Location

My family (and dog) had a wonderful stay at this location very close to the restaurants along Connecticut Avenue in a relaxed and lovely part of Chevy Chase. The owner was responsive and answered questions quickly. The home and bedrooms were very comfortable for our stay.

Heads up that this rental is for ONLY the 2nd and 3rd floors in case there are mobility issues. The 3rd floor is only accessible via the spiral staircase.

The house is a duplex—two completely separate houses in one building. One is the first floor and lower level; the other is the 2nd-floor main level; and a loft on the 3rd floor with amazing balcony skylights.

Great Place in a Great Location

The house was very well stocked and as advertised. A great location in DC walkable to a bunch of restaurants and a huge playground/park only a couple blocks away. Jack the host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there again for a family trip to DC.

Great location for a family visit to celebrate our son’s engagement. Dining room was perfect for a semi-formal dinner. Beds and linens were comfortable. Appreciated that street parking was easy and plentiful. Only downside is one bathroom (which is clear in the description).

DC getaway

We stayed in this charming home while visiting the Capital. We enjoyed staying away from the hustle and bustle of the capital, but was a short Uber ride into the heart of it all. The neighborhood was lovely to run and walk in with many restaurants and stores with in walking distance. The property manager was very gracious and easy to communicate with.

A lovely, comfortable home

My family of seven stayed here for Parents Weekend at American University. It was very spacious, clean and sunny. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We found it convenient and easy to scoot over to the university and back. We brought food and enjoyed a big family breakfast at the large table in the living room. A really nice and relaxing experience.

DC Trip

This was a great location for visiting Washington DC. The neighborhood was lovely and safe for walking. It was close enough to the Metro to walk to the nearest station. The house itself was in good condition with ample space to sleep, eat and hang out as a family. Only one bathroom but we knew that when booking. Overall we had a lovely stay and had a responsive host! We would book again.

Great Weekend in DC

My family of 6 spent the weekend of December 14th in this fantastic house! Everything was as advertised, check-in process was seamless and the host was very responsive. We loved Bread & Chocolate for breakfast (down Connecticut). 20 minute walk to the Metro and we were on our way downtown. Love DC, love the Metro! City is very walkable and safe. Really enjoyed Georgetown and the Christmas Market by the Capital One arena.

The set up was nice to host my husband and I and our seven children. I didn’t see the listing had only one bathroom till after I had booked it, unfortunately. That was my fault. There were 5 comfy seats in the gathering room and 9 of us staying there, so that made it hard to all be together there for a movie or something like that. For anyone who is there to see sights in DC—the drive to Union Station was about 30-45 minutes each day.

Charming older home.

Great location, classic historic home (duplex). 100 year old architecture is to be appreciated. Some modern conveniences while keeping the older feel intact. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Good layout and room for 6-8 but keep in mind there is only one shared bathroom. There are many stairs, so if you’d prefer not to navigate those, this property is not the best pick. Overall, we loved it.

Nice home

Nice property close to many things. We had a family of 8 people from ages 12 to adult. We were able cook and enjoy a few family meals and play games. The bed linens were FANTASTIC! Nothing worse than staying on vacation and not being able to get a good nights sleep because of flat pillows and nasty blankets. The only recommendations woukd be a fan in the bathroom and more seating in the living room. It was a lottle difficulty for everyone to get comfy while watching a movie at night.
