This was a fabulous home in a delightful area. We could not have enjoyed our stay anymore. From kayaking to the beach, to walking the private road and seeing so many amazing birds, it was just the ideal vacation for every generation (3!) in our group. Thank you so much.

Breathtaking Views!

Excellent views of sunrise, tidal creek & marshes as well as the ocean. Easy kayak paddle to the beach. An incredible and relaxing place to gather with family and friends.

Edisto for the Win!

This exactly met my expectations and hopes according to what shown in the pics! I honestly wanted to be in Charleston and mistook Edisto Island as a community within Charleston, but I'm really glad we were here. My family needed a place that was secluded and not around a bunch of tourist attractions that would have compelled us to be busy everyday. We were able to be still and let the ocean lull us into a serenity in a way Charleston wouldn't have allowed. We did go to Charleston twice which speaks to the convenience of the location relative to Charleston.

Family Time

Property is tired and you can tell that there are many maintenance issues that seem to not get done. Upon arrival to the property the elevator was not working. The reason we chose this property was the elevator for my elderly father. I did call that evening and someone arrived the next morning. It was difficult getting him inside that night. I watched what was done and the elevator went down again and it was a simple fix but it should be corrected. Breakers were off to the kitchen and lighting would not work, The chain to the garage door was just left hanging as it was rusted and broken. There was a loose step in the front and in the back there were bricks on the step that were loose. Safety hazards which should be addressed prior to it being rented. You could tell landscaping had been ignored. Overall it was ok but for the type of property it is you would think it would have been better cared for and looked after. I would choose to look at a different property if staying again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that your stay was anything short of enjoyable, especially given the importance of the elevator for your father. The elevator itself was fully operational; however, it had been placed in service mode, which can occasionally occur. This is why we have posted clear signage with detailed instructions to help guests easily operate it and avoid confusion. We also apologize for the inconvenience with the breakers and understand how frustrating that can be. Occasionally, breakers may trip, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention so it could be promptly resolved. Regarding the garage doors, they are intentionally left open and the openers disengaged, as the coastal salt air and environment do not allow these mechanisms to function reliably for extended periods. The garage door opener has never been advertised as an amenity for this reason. Since your stay, our team has re-inspected the stairs and walkways to ensure everything is safe and secure, and we truly appreciate you reporting those items so they could be addressed. Guest feedback is invaluable in helping us maintain our homes. We would love the opportunity to welcome you back for a more enjoyable and seamless stay during any season.
