A beautiful 3 Bedroom/2.5 Bathroom, pet friendly home that features beautiful woodland views from every window, classic Mountain Cabin Decor, modern amenities, a spacious game room and offers the perfect space to relax and unwind for the entire family.
Welcome to the Happy Husky Hideaway! As you step from the large wrap around deck to enter the front door of the home, you are greeted by the sunny and bright, floor-to-ceiling windows of the Great Room. Every window features gorgeous, elevated woodland views of the surrounding aspens and pines and the comfortable window-side seating around the gas fireplace provides a cozy central living space for lounging days away with those you love. Relish in the classic Mountain Cabin decor with thoughtful, unique and personal touches throughout the house that will make you feel right at home. Settle in for meal time or a good board game around the high top dining table, with comfortable seating for 6. The well appointed Kitchen features ample counter space, all the modern appliances, and ensures that you have everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. Start your day off with a fresh and tasty pot of coffee while you enjoy the beautiful views down the tree lined property, where you can often catch an early morning glimpse of the resident moose, foxes and mule deer (to name just a few of the critters you may encounter).
As you make your way down the hallway, you'll find the conveniently situated Central Half-Bathroom with a standard toilet and large vanity space. The Master Suite features a King size bed fitted with luxurious cotton bed linens, large closet and an open En Suite Bathroom. The En Suite Bathroom has a standard toilet, large vanity space, a bathtub/shower combo - so you can choose to start the day with a quick and refreshing rinse or sink in for a long, hot soak after all the activities a day in the Colorado Rocky Mountains may afford.
Wind your way up the stairs to the open loft, where the Loft Bedroom features a Queen size bed fitted with our cozy cotton bed linens, a comfy couch space (perfect for curling up with a good book and reading the blustery days away!) and a well lit desk space perfect for your workdays or game time alike. Even in this rural location, you can stay connected with the high-speed Starlink Internet, providing the fastest and most dependable internet in the area!
After you've spent your day at play in the great outdoors, wander down the steps to the spacious ground floor Game Room where you will find something fun for everyone! The Game Room offers a comfortable couch and loveseat around a smart TV with streaming access to Netflix, Hulu and Disney, a full size pool table, dart board and corner hightop table and chairs. Down the hallway the Ground Floor Bedroom features a Queen size bed, a spacious closet and a large window with ground level woodland views.
The Ground Floor Bathroom offers a standard toilet, large vanity space and a bathtub/shower combo.
At the end of the hallway, the Laundry Room offers a full size washing machine and dryer available for guest use, so there is no need to waste precious vacation time making the trip to town and waiting at the laundromat! (Please note, there is an indoor security camera located in this room for the purpose of monitoring the furnace and water softening/filtration system).
The spacious, partially covered deck of the home offers comfortable seating for Summertime lounging, a propane BBQ grill and quiet, secluded woodland views. Additionally, the Glacier Ridge subdivision is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to safely observe many different wild animals right from the elevated deck space.
Park County is an activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too!), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.

* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
* Outdoor security camera(s) are in use at this property, and may be used to verify guest occupancy. Security camera(s) are solely for visual (no audio) monitoring outside the property and are not present inside the property.
* This home is pet friendly. We charge a $50 fee for each pet, and all pets must be approved. This fee is not included in the quoted rate, and will be charged after the booking is confirmed or the day of arrival on the reservation.
