My family and I enjoyed a 9 day stay at Ridgemont and we loved the property! We truly enjoyed the space which was both beautiful and peaceful; we felt very safe. The hosts were supportive with any questions and even assisted with matters outside the property itself. They were very responsive and delivered beyond our expectations. Ridgemont is our home away from home and would certainly share with any friends or family intending to visit St. Lucia.

Great Holiday
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa was clean and well equipped. We loved the pool and the tranquil setting. Definitely need a car as not much within walking distance, plenty of good restaurants and beaches a short drive away. Michelle was a great host, very welcoming and gave us lots of information about places to visit/eat during our stay. A highlight was watching the hummingbirds in the garden in the morning.

Girls Trip
We had a great stay at Ridgemont to celebrate our year of turning 40! The house was great and had everything we needed to enjoy the trip. The host Michelle was by far the best person I have ever rented property from, she is incredibly attentive, responding quickly to messages, she provided copious recommendations which were all fantastic and went above and beyond to help when I was trying to book something.
Highly recommend this property, would definitely come back!

Home in the sun
We stayed for a month in January to catch up with friends in St Lucia and to escape the English winter. The house had everything we wanted: plenty of space, a decent kitchen, a pool and a view. Michelle was wonderful - nothing was too much trouble Very helpful and happy to provide some extra items to help us with our extensive entertaining. Thank you for being such a great host.

Great villa - location and host
Just returned from 2 weeks in St Lucia. From booking the villa to the end of our stay Michelle was very quick to answer any questions we had. Also helped us during our stay to contact people for sourcing us some paddleboards for our private boat trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better host. The villa location was v good. Villa was v spacious for 8 people and the view from the villa was amazing. We were planning to use Floyd for our transport to get around the island but ended up hiring a car for 8 people and this was definitely the best thing as we were able to get to supermarket easier and to local restaurants on the evening. Would recommend Dax, spinnakers and the cockpit. All great food. Michelle also gave us some takeaway options. Overall an amazing holiday in a beautiful villa and country.

One beautiful and relaxing week
My family and I fell in love with the house and it became our home away from home during our week stay in St. Lucia. The house is quite spacious, clean and located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The pool provided fun and relaxation for our family when we’re not at the beach or out and about on excursions. Michelle was a great hostess and very communicative. She gave us great suggestions for places to dine for local food as well as other attractions on the island. As others have mentioned, until the road leading to the home is redone, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Alternatively, you can park at the top of the hill and take a short walk to the house. This is by no means a show stopper. We would definitely recommend this home and would love to stay here upon our return.

Beautiful House In Gros Islet
My husband and 2 sons just returned from St. Lucia. During our time in St. Lucia we stayed at Phil and Michelle's house. The house is a beautiful, big white house up on a bit of a crazy hill with a lovely view. Michelle was there to meet us upon arrival and had a nice starter pantry of food for us. We really enjoyed staying at Phil & Michelle's house. My only caution would be that if you are staying here, you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get around. Using cabs gets very expensive and it is quite a walk to most places in the extreme heat of St. Lucia. Our boys were hoping to golf, but the price is crazy expensive if you are not staying at Sandals. Pigeon Island was a beautiful hike! Other than that in this area, it's mostly restaurants and beaches for entertainment. The street party on Friday was very fun too! Thank you Michelle & Phil for hosting us!

Taxi fares in St Lucia are slightly out of control, but they are regulated. We believe it is important to give our guests advice on the pros and cons of rentals vs taxis before they arrive.

Paradise from start to finish!
Thank you to Michelle and Phil for letting us stay in your truly stunning house. We have never before booked a villa that didn’t have any reviews, but in January this year we did just that and weren’t disappointed with this new property. From the moment we booked until the moment we left Michelle and Phil answered all our questions, made some fantastic recommendations and were just lovely, lovely people. The villa is well equipped (lots of space to store suitcases out of view in all rooms), the bedrooms are all spacious and perfectly suited to our family of four. The view from the property will be one we never forget and the children spent hours in the pool. We spent many a happy day snorkelling off Pigeon Island, definitely worth paying the entrance fee and getting sun beds there. We were advised to hire a 4WD vehicle which coped with the uneven road to the property, Phil advised us to use a local company called Operative Car Rental and we would probably put them down as one of the most efficient rental companies we’ve ever used in terms of car handover time! This property will not disappoint and Saint Lucia will be the paradise you’ve always dreamed of!

We found Michelle very helpful. We appreciated her help with places to go & organising a taxi for us.
However I felt the villa wasn’t ready for paying guests yet.
As previously mentioned the track to the villa is not good, it is steep and unmade, we had to leave our car at the top of the road and walk down to the villa, not easy especially at night and not suitable if you have mobility problems.
Upon arrival debris from previous guests, who had left days ago was found in the dressing room, the cleaners came the next morning, however we still found dirty crockery in the cupboard and the cutlery drawer had dried on food on it. We stayed for a week but did not have another visit from the cleaner, not as listing says.
The second bedroom is accessed from the outside of the property, probably only suitable for adults.
I wouldn’t describe it as exquisitely furnished, the bedrooms have built in wardrobes/ dressing room but very little other furniture. Those of our party using bedrooms 3 & 4 used the floor for their suitcases.
The sun umbrella was broken, apparently there are more on order, not much help for our stay.
We also found the lounge area of the villa very hot in the evenings, even with the ceiling fans on. The villa we had for our first week had bug shields at the windows, this one doesn’t so if you have the windows open for the breeze you also have mosquitoes, we were also getting bitten sitting outside, despite using bug spray.

For a host it can be a tricky decision on whether they respond to a review. However, there are many omissions not mentioned in this review, that a holistic picture is required. The Rendells kindly booked with us in January 2023, for a planned stay in June. Unfortunately, our repeated attempts to establish contact, to enquire about special requirements, allergies and to offer recommendations on vehicles, transport etc. were ignored. On the day of the booking, their party arrived 4 hours before the advertised check-in time. I understand they were asked to leave their previous accommodation early. Though our cleaners were still working, we hurried them away and agreed to accommodate an early arrival. Because we were unable to complete the cleaning regiment and post inspection, we agreed to bring in the cleaner again the following day to revisit the house. In hindsight, the flexibility shown was to our detriment and we accept a 3rd visit by the cleaner could have been arranged with if this was expected. With the threat of a bad review being floated in the atmosphere we went to extra effort. When the Rendell’s complained that daylight was coming in through the bedroom windows, Michelle went out and bought two sets of thicker curtains to darken the room. Then, when the Rendell’s requested additional seating by the pool, we brought in cushioned seating. from our home and placed poolside. When, we declined to bring additional bedroom tables and chest of drawers sets for their specific needs, that did not go down well and their 3 star review became inevitable. However, saying we are not ready, is simply not factual. We take pride in our service and are proud of the memories we have helped create (see reviews).
We did not advertise mosquito mesh-wiring over our windows, they get dirty, insects get stuck in them and it spoils the views of the Caribbean Sea from inside the house. Instead, we use ultrasonic pest replants plugged-in around the house. Re. parking, Mr. Rendell drove into the driveway multiple times, but some people do prefer to park on the road and walk the approximately 55 steps (or so) down the hill. I would encourage everyone to look at the photos and the description.
I do apologize for the long response, but felt it necessary to provide context. We would like to thank the Rendells for their stay and encourage better communication with Hosts in the future. We will also work to continuously improve. I would also like to thank my lovely Michelle for her extraordinary efforts during this stay.

Ridgemont House spacious is a stand-alone house set in a large, landscaped garden with your own private pool, onsite parking. Completed in 2022, it is one of the newest villas in Cap Estate with modern finishing. Built with a sold, traditional Caribbean design, set in a large flowered garden, faces the gentle Caribbean Sea and offers beautiful views amazing sunsets.
Our family grew up in the Cap Estate area and have always appreciated, the convenience of the location, the amazing views, the serenity of the neighbourhood and the multiple nearby beaches long before the hotels did.
Ridgemont exquisitely designed with a bright, traditional Caribbean exterior, the property is finished with all the modern amenities needed to make your stay comfortable. The main living/dining area has a light airy feel, with multiple windows to allow in light and has two suspended ceiling fans for added comfort. The double doors open onto the large balcony, overlooking your own private pool, bbq deck, garden and stunning views across Rodney Bay.

There are four bedrooms, with 3.5 bathrooms at Ridgemont. Each bedroom is airconditioned, comes with a double bed and have varying views of the ocean. The large master bedroom is exquisitely finished with a fabulous en-suite bath and walk shower. A walk in closet and super king size four poster bed. The double door leads out into your private balcony, overlooking the gardens, pool and views of the ocean. Bedroom 4 is also en-suite with fantastic views on the ocean.
The living space can easily accommodate large groups of between 8 to 10 people and is uniquely fitted with both 110V and 220V, so weather you hail from the US, UK or Europe, your electronic devices should be chargeable. The well-equipped kitchen is finished with a black granite counter- top with a walk in pantry. This can be used to meet all your self-catering needs, or you may wish to take advantage of our optional meal and or drinks service (please note these come at an additional cost). We allow small gatherings for guests staying 3 night or more. Our on-island concierge is on hand to assist with any queries, or advice you may need.
