Walking distance to first necessity store, swimming beaches, surfing, restaurants and nightlife. Our location is only for those looking to have an authentic Puerto Rican experience in the heart of a community.
The space
Welcome to The Sonsoleá Host - a collection of highly catered vacation homes in the town of Luquillo. All of which we own, remodeled, clean and host. Check out our profile to read our story and see other homes.

This listing is for The Aamapola Unit, a recently remodeled two bedroom one bath home with private 6” x 6” outdoor plunge pool, a/c in each room dimensioned to cool the entire home, new modern kitchen, improved outdoor space with private plunge pool! New windows to better soundproof outside noise and bring more light in when desired. Creative decor and paint.

Bedroom 1 has super comfy King sized bed, armoire, desk, cold a/c and black out curtains. Bedroom 2 has full size bed, chest, cold a/c and black out curtains. Remodeled kitchen is fully equipped to cook a proper meal and has a high dining table for two. Cozy living room has sofa and smart TV connected to netflix.

The new and improved private patio is what makes this home truly unique. Outdoor space features a wood deck, plunge pool with massage jets, high quality lounge floor mats to sunbathe, vintage lounger chairs and pergola that gives shade and privacy. An oasis within Paradise!

Maximum home occupancy is 4. No parties or unregistered guests are allowed and we kindly ask quite time after 9pm.

There are just two units onsite: Amapola and Oasis, both on the first floor. We live on the second floor. Amapola and Oasis homes connect through outdoor hallway. Property buyout is a possibility and a total group of 6 respectful guests ;) can be accommodated.

Beach towels, cooler and beach chairs are provided.

Our location is awesome, enjoy it and walk the town to have breakfast or dinner, watch the surfers catch waves in the morning, smile to the locals that bike/walk up and down the street, explore the beach and climb over the giant rock to enjoy the views. This is the true Puerto Rican experience, make the most out of it.

Other things to note
Like in all of Puerto Rico: Our windows have screens but if you leave doors open mosquitoes will enter, there may be stray dogs and cats in the area (a very unfortunate problem we struggle with island wide), there are lizards in the backyard, birds, insects and pretty flowers. There are also coral reefs and fish in the ocean :) Luquillo town is home to many festivals with artesians and live music. There is noise potential in the area because houses are nearby like a downtown, kids playing on the street and music every know and then. We recently installed glass windows to minimize noise potential.

🖤 Our location is great because you have La Pared Beach, restaurants and Town Square within walking distance. The water just infront of the house is too wavy for swimming but just a 9 min walk away the reef breaks the waves and water is great for non professional surfers like us.
🖤 Luquillo is known for its beautiful sunrises.
🖤 Biggest Turtle in the World (El Tinglar) hatches at La Pared.
🖤 El Yunque Rainforest is within a 2 minute drive (waterfalls, hiking, rope swings into rivers, natural river slides).
🖤 Luquillo is famous for its 80 kiosks by the water where you will find dozens of restaurants with live music, bars and gift shops.
🖤 Horseback riding.
🖤 Catamrans.
🖤 Snorkeling .
🖤 Surfing classes & professional surfing.
🖤 Fajardo is just a 15 minute drive away. There you have Seven Seas Beach, Las Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve and the Ferry to sister islands Viqeues and Culebra.
