Located in the center of town, this recently fully renovated space offers the historic delights of a vintage home in addition to a quirky unique spin on your next vacation. This split level, lofted apartment is a true Downtown Wilmington experience, both unique & with your best stay in mind.

This listing is right in the action of downtown. If noise or being in the heart of a city bothers you this may not be the right fit. It is also closed off but is still attached to a full home, and is considered a duplex (sectioned off front of a whole house). If you are looking for a traditional Airbnb experience in a shared space, we would love to have you. If you are looking for extra privacy we suggest booking an entire house or cottage. There is a wall between the spaces of the the house so you have full privacy during your stay.


You may see us from time to time doing yard work or walking to and from the back portion of the home. (Don’t be afraid to say hi!) However, this is a guest shared home (shared by a wall between the two apartments, as this is a duplex) and because of the nearness to the rest of the house, you might also hear the sound of talking or other day to day activities whilst inside the apartment. Sound proofing has been installed (double drywalling on all adjoining walls with green glue sound sealant - tested for quality) but, if you experience any discomfort in the noise level please let us know.

-The sound of traffic or being directly in a “city city” is bothersome to you. This house is located on a main street in Downtown Wilmington. While it may be convenient to getting to all the attractions Downtown has to offer, you will hear and see the hustle, bustle, and rumble of the street and city. There is a security camera on the porch and a sound machine is also provided. Two are on the property, located at the exterior front and back porch entryways which can record sound and are active during every stay to ensure all activity outside the home is safe.
-You do not wish to share a wall with other persons. You may hear sounds on occasion inside or around the property.
-Controlling the thermostat is important to you. It is a shared central AC system between both sections of the duplex. However, if you are uncomfortable at any time with the temperature let us know and we can adjust it remotely. We have installed an additional AC unit in the bedroom to accommodate for the southern summers. (AC unit in upstairs bathroom coming soon - 8/22)
-Small spaces are uncomfortable to you. This space is very tiny-house inspired and there are a lot of unique layouts that you may find yourself in a less than spacious situation. The shower and loft space comfortably fits someone that is 6ft and may get tighter to navigate if you exceed this height.
-Quirky details are not your style. The kitchen and bathroom are located in the upstairs loft and there are no shades on the kitchen windows. The staircase to the upstairs loft is also an open concept.
- A more rustic/vintage home is not your style. You will notice there are genuine original details within the space that we intentionally kept to maintain the historic and original beauty that it is.
-You are traveling with children. This space is not childproof and there are exposed utensils, stairs, and other items around the home that would be considered unsuitable for little ones to be around. The consistent sound of traffic may also be no fun to have with a little one present.

• Tiled shower with rainfall shower system, and shower supplies.

• Fresh and extra towels and blankets provided.

•Two tvs, WIFI, Netflix, Apple TV, free Amazon Prime, HBO Max (only in the bedroom), and Disney+ are included. Firestick with other app log-ins available (no cable).

• Small heater/fan, kindle fire, sound machine, controllable AC and Heater in upstairs (kitchen/bathroom area) loft, and bluetooth record playing radio.
• Ceiling fans in the Living room and Bedroom.

The kitchen and bathroom are located on the second floor loft of the home.
This is an older home so it has a lot of the awesome vintage qualities an old house would have, but also retains some rustic appeal. So please be mindful that it is not perfect. For example, you may have to wait for the water to get hot for a shower, and it may take a minute or so to reach a comfortable temperature. All floors are recently refinished original hardwood, and have a lot of what we like to call “incline/decline challenges” in addition to imperfections that we tried our best to salvage in the renovation process.
We worked really hard on this space and created & designed everything you see. We want for our guests to love it, and appreciate it for its imperfections, in addition to its updates, as much as we do.

Perfect spot
My partner and I came down for a wedding at Station No. 2. This space was perfectly located. Everything you could need for a weekend trip was available or provided. The decor is so fun and tastefully placed. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend.

Great location, great unit.
It's a duplex, with the 80's themed unit behind it. That said, there is plenty of room. The listing describes everything well, but it really is nicer than I expected. The host has done a great job with communicating 'quirks' like it takes a minute for hot water in the shower. When we arrived my wife's most common statement was "It's so cute" about everything. Very pleased, and will plan to stay either here or one of their other units in the future.

My wife Jordan and I were college sweethearts back in Ohio and have been married for 6+ years and together for 9+ now living in Wilmington, NC. We have two rescue pups, a six year old Great Pyrenees named Genevieve and a Saint Bernard Mix, our two year old, named Sapphira, who are our greatest pride and joy. You can always find the two of us working tirelessly on improving our home and life. We spend all of our time remodeling, interior designing, and decorating in hopes of creating more places to stay, in addition to the spaces that we have designed, in the near future. We have since started our own interior Design business called Brick and Barley!

Our biggest priority is to live life to the fullest and this is why Jordan and I try our best to take small trips often and enjoy every small thing there is.
We are big animal lovers and tv/movie buffs, and you can always quote FRIENDS with us. We also love meeting new people and dogs (but mostly dogs).

Being airbnb hosts was a huge dream of ours and we are absolutely delighted to be able to fulfill that dream and pamper all of our guests. When we are traveling we always look for the best place to get dessert and we cannot wait to explore
this big old world and help others do the same. So, let us know what you are searching for and we’d be more than happy to help you find it.

This very central space is located on a main street downtown and you will regularly hear the sound of traffic, and the city's hustle and bustle, during your stay. However, it is located within walking distance of the Castle Street District and the main Downtown area. All downtown locations are within 4 (driving) minutes. Walking distance is dependent on where you wish to go. IE:

• Luna Cafe and RX (Castle Street District locations) are a half mile away and a 3-5 minute walk.
• Whereas Bespoke Coffee, Kilwins, and Cousins deli (Central Downtown locations) are all about 3/4 a mile away and a 15-20 minute walk.
• The Riverwalk is 1/2 a mile and about a 10-12 minute walk starting by Elijah’s and The Pilot House area.
• The Brooklyn Arts district is a mile away and a 25 minute walk.

Please also be respectful of our neighbors, they are really wonderful people that are truly kind.

Parking off street is available and everything is a quick bike ride, walk, and or car ride to all downtown areas. You will need transportation to the beach if you wish to visit during your stay.
