Kevin was a very good and communicative host. But overall at the place it wasn’t too enjoyable. There was no parking. We had to pay for valet parking which we didn’t want to do, we would have preferred to park down by our building entrance. Friday came and it was overruled by college students that trashed the place, left beer cans thrown off from their balcony in the little grass area of where I took my two little dogs to go potty, couldn’t enjoy the hot tub in the early evening because there were 30-40 college students in it; the water was cool and the water level was low. Found beer cans, red solo cups, a condom wrapper by the hot tub/pool area along with other things from people’s rooms. Saturday evening got woke up at 1:30am by kids bouncing from room to room yelling banging on doors so we called the front desk and the guy said he was going to call the security team for the lodge to handle the situation along with speaking with other guests that called to inform the situation and nothing ever happened, the noise continued until 4:30am and that is when I was able to go back to sleep because they got quiet.

This unit is privately owned and not managed by Telluride Mountain Lodge. Do yourself a favor and book through the lodge. This room was not worth even half the price I paid. Coffee maker no coffee, body wash to shower and no microwave. Hosts seemed nice but they don’t care it’s all about the money for them.

Room was clean and comfortable but very small and missing basic amenities - soap, coffee starter kit, etc. The latter didn't matter as the coffee maker didn't work, neither did the dehumidifiers. This is a hotel room, but we hadn't appreciated that there would be no maid service as it is booked privately. If we went again, we would fork out the extra to book a larger room directly with the hotel.

Great location, but...

Overall great! Knocking off one star because the listing indicates a mountain view, but the view was of a gondola and a back parking area with trees. The room was very stuffy upon arrival. We messaged the host asking about air conditioning and was met with a patronizing reply telling us to open the window. It was 77 degrees and sunny, the room was stuffy, one of the windows wouldn't stay open, and the fan available in the closet had a broken control dial. The location was fantastic and the room was otherwise fine.
