Fabulous Home

This place is amazing, it has such a peaceful feeling. The kitchen is great and well stocked. Super cozy king size bed with a view of the trees, feels like you are in a tree house. You can walk everywhere or take the golf cart to dinner. All the restaurants in Serenbe are great! Everyone in the community is super friendly and helpful. There is even a County Store with the groceries you need. I give this place 5 stars!

Not the getaway we expected

The location of this town home is absolutely amazing. Incredibly quaint, unique architecture, and buzzing with activities. We arrived to our dog friendly “home” for a long weekend over the 4th of July. Check in was a breeze. Opened the door, and I immediately felt it, heat. It was the middle of our first Atlanta summer so the inside matching the outside is not good. I went to the thermostat and it showed the air was set and on but the temperature read 84. We got everything inside and I went upstairs and the thermostat was set to 70 but it was stifling. Came down the stairs and noticed 3 dead cockroaches. I quickly found the vacuum and took care of that. That’s when I started looking around and it was dusty, long brown hair was on the ground and scattered on some linens. Toilet bowls had rings around them. This place hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. I reached out to VRBO and they were trying to connect with the owner. It had been an hour and the air was not working. I found that I could connect with the owner too. He was responsive and apologetic. He committed to getting an HVAC guy to the property. Problem was no concrete ETA.
