Welcome to Modern Marina! This completely remodeled luxury home combines beautiful modern design and stunning lake and mountain views . Grab a cup of coffee as you take a morning stroll around the lake, or relax in the open concept living room with doors that open to the lake. When night falls, you can take in the colors of the sunset in your private patio around the fire pit with family and friends. If adventure is on your mind, take a 4 minute walk to Legends at Sparks Marina.
The space
We can’t wait to share our home with you. We designed this space, wishing that our guests would feel all the love and great energy when spending time here. We hope you'll make many memories with friends and family in this sparkling home with all the extras, and a thoughtfully designed space with several high-end touches. We hope you enjoy its magic as much as we do.

There are 4 bedrooms and a LOFT (PLEASE NOTE THAT LOFT IS LISTED AS 5th BEDROOM). Bedrooms 1-3 are furnished with plush comfortable king beds. Bedroom 4, is a bunk room, which has a full over full bunk bed with a pull out trundle and a play kitchen. Giving families with kids plenty of room to enjoy each other while having their own space. The LOFT (listed as 5th bedroom), features a queen sized day bed with a trundle, and a smart TV. There's also a desk for those that need to WFH.

The Marina Lake Home is a very special and unique setting in Reno, with spectacular views of the Sierra and the waterfront that is just steps from the door. We had family members from Idaho coming to stay, and there were comfortable beds for all to sleep. The kitchen was well-appointed and the living room seating was very comfortable. This is an ideal spot to impress out-of-town guests!

Great location!

Our family's house that we normally stay in was under construction for the holidays but we still wanted to come visit and this house was perfect for our stay! Great location, fun view, nearby playground and a short walk to shopping and great places to eat! Would stay here again!

Great Place

The home is set beautifully on a lake with an awesome paved trail that goes around the entire lake. It is spacious and clean. It also had great water pressure and comfortable beds. The owner is easy to work with and quick to respond to messages. It was a wonderful experience!

Paradise in Sparks

This place is absolutely amazing!! Beautiful home with every amenity you would need! Comfortable beds and furniture. They even have a little kitchen set for the little ones to play with!😍 And the view was awesome!!! Communication with the property manager was really quick. Lovely Home

We flew to Reno to visit a friend of ours that lives in Sparks. I’m fairly new to the VRBO experience, but am pleased that we opted to stay in this home. We had plenty of space and were able to spend time together in such a conveniently located and well appointed home away from home. The view did not disappoint and though we stayed busy visiting Truckee, Lake Tahoe and Virginia City, I enjoyed my daily morning walks around the lake! We had a delicious meal and perfect sunset spot at the Water Bar next door on our last night. I’d stay here again for sure!

This is a beautiful home with everything needed to have an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the view of the water or looking at it through the windows when it was a little too cold. The beds were very comfortable. Great house for family reunion

The house was beautifully decorated and great for hosting various family groups for our reunion.It has large comfortable beds and pillows, modern appliances, plenty of tall windows, and comfortable furniture for gathering the 10 of us in the common areas. We loved sitting out on the patio in the mornings and evenings. Wi-fi was great and there were plenty of TVs with streaming options. We appreciated the floor fan in one of the east-facing bedrooms as it got hot when the sun came up. We also were grateful for the supply of plastic storage bags, which came in handy.The house was clean in regards to everyday cleaning (floors, counter tops, toilets and sinks) however there were a few neglected spots with cobwebs and dust.We would stay here again (but maybe purchase some plastic utensils first. The silverware was thin, oddly shaped and difficult to use.)

Wow! What a Spectacular Property!

We stayed here for my son’s wedding in Reno, the house is spectacular, beautiful views of the lake from the inside and back yard area. It was the perfect house for our family of 5 adults for 6 days. Leslie was kind enough to allow me to host the bridal party for their hair and makeup the morning of the wedding, which worked out great. The house is well decorated and stocked. I would highly recommend this property and the owner who was fabulous at communication and responded right away whenever I had questions.

Perfect location

I can’t rave enough about this home. The owners have put a lot of thought and love into the home from providing blankets for lounging in the living room or sitting outside. Every night we enjoyed many laughs playing cards at the table, while watching the sun set and a beautiful sky change before our eyes. The location is walking distance to a coffee shop to grab an iced coffee in the afternoon and then enjoy dinner at the Water Bar. And the lake…it’s so nice being steps away from walking around the lake in the morning or in the evening. Either time, there are all kinds of wildlife to enjoy observing. Incredible! Beautiful Property!

Our family had the perfect stay! The property is beautifully decorated, with such thoughtful attention to detail. From the blankets to curl up on while watching movies, to the large washer and dryer, to the pristine linens and towels. The view is INCREDIBLE! We were just a step away from the walkway that circled the marina. My morning and evening walks may have been my personal favorite part of the trip. Leslie is the absolute perfect host. Thank you Leslie! It was a perfect family trip with such great memories. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Loved This Place

We were a party of 9 adults (27 up to 73 years) and 2 children (8 and 12). We had a delightful time at Leslie's house, and she is an outstanding host. She went above and beyond in helping us with various questions. It is centrally located with a beach on the Marina a 5-minute walk from the house and a large shopping center a 5-minute walk in the opposite direction. Our favorite spot was out in the back yard where we interacted with the people walking the Marina and watching the sun set. We had our coffee in the morning and our cocktails in the evening in that spot. One thing of note is that the listing mentions a hot tub. There is not one, but there is a large soaker tub in the master bath. We knew that going in as the pictures don't show a hot tub, so I messaged Leslie to ask prior to booking.

WOW! Exceeded every expectation! This is the ONE you're looking for!

My family and I were in Reno for a family wedding and rented this gorgeous home for 5 nights. We wanted a place that felt special and would provide good time-out for what we knew would be a busy week. We looked through hundreds of properties for the perfect place and this place stood out for the obvious love and attention-to-detail present in the photos. We could tell we'd be dealing with an owner and not an "investor" and, after years of renting, we understand there's a significant difference in guest experience between the two. Leslie was an extremely responsive host from the beginning. We didn't experience any problems but, if you do, just know that you're not calling in to a management company and being sent to someone's voice mail. With each question we had, Leslie got back to us within minutes. This is the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. It was immaculate and well-supplied. The beds were divine with luxury mattresses and linens. The furniture not only looked good, it was comfortable to sit in and hang-out in with family. They've thought of everything. The location is THE BEST you will find anywhere near Reno. It's a gorgeous place to stay and our favorite moments were our daily walks around the marina (a fabulous coffee shop and the popular Water Bar are just a short walk away). It's even an easy walk to great shopping!! We also loved hanging out at night, enjoying the fire pit with a glass of wine, and watching the sun set. When I tell you this place is fabulous, I mean it! Thank you Leslie for sharing your beautiful home with us--we'll be back!

Had a wonderful time! The location was perfect with great views of the mountains and the sun glistening on the water. The path around the lake is the perfect way to take a stroll and see all the friendly people walking their dogs. We listened to music and had some drinks on the back patio while relaxing and taking in the gorgeous view. The Water Bar is steps away to grab some food and drinks in a lively atmosphere. The house is really nice with lots of rooms, clean towels, and a nice kitchen. The hosts were very receptive and quickly answered any inquiries or questions I had. If you’re looking to relax and take a break, I’d highly recommend.

All of my most joyous moments have always with surrounded by friends and family, always around a great meal laughing and enjoying each other. I value connection more than anything else in the world. That’s why I’ve always loved hosting gatherings at our home.

I was fortunate enough to stay at a neighbors Airbnb down the street from this home, and instantly could see us along with our family and friends making having the best time here. I fell in love the walk ability of the area. Plus it was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway from the Bay Area. There’s so much to do for adults and kids alike. So when the opportunity of a lakefront house came about, I jumped on the chance, without even having my husband looking at the house!

This project has definitely been a labor of love for us. We designed the home with the hope and intention that everyone here will want to return. It means so much to me to have a beautiful space to share with everyone, and I hope you love this home as much as we do!
