We had damage of fences and trees from Hurricane Beryl. these may not be complete at time of your arrival. House is in perfect condition.This property is safe! Safe neighborhood, no drive through to get somewhere else. Most residents are owners and when choosing a property feel confident about this property. We had a band rent and left their van with their equipment in driveway. Others left trucks with tools and such. We can't guarantee 100% safety but selecting this location is a great start!
This is a great quiet older home, close to the following:
NASA : 5 mi. The most popular destination in TEXAS after The Alamo.
Kemah Boardwalk waterfront amusements and restaurants: 3 mi.
Boat Ramps are within 2 mi. (3 available).
Beach/Downtown 24 mi.
Air: 15 mi HOU 45 mi. IAH
Cruise terminals: 23 mi.
I used to travel a lot and this would be good for those here on business, or we've set up for family vacations as well. It has a new AC/heater in 2022. It has 4 bedrooms (2 twins, 1 twin/1 full, 1 Queen, 1 King). 3 tvs, new Washer/Dryer, Old Smokey, Fun!
A pontoon boat is available to rent for 1/2 or full days for a relaxing day on water. You can just walk across the street to go out for the day!
When you spend you or your businesses money you also want it going to a good place. We are a nice family of four and strive to provide a great environment for our guests, neighbors and neighborhood. We put 90% of income back into the house through constant upgrades and additional amenities. We hope to add some kayaks and have purchased bicycles available now. We do decorate for the season and you should expect a warm seasonally decorated place to stay with nothing much to do other than perhaps a quick trip to grocery and to enjoy your stay. We are nearby and will respond to questions or concerns within minutes.

Perfect Location

House was exactly as shown on VRBO. It had lots of room for all 8 of us to spread out. Perfect location, close to everything we needed. Nice, safe area.

Great stay

Perfect for us

This was the perfect location for us. We spent a day at the beach, a day at Johnson Space Center and we were close enough to my daughter’s home to enjoy many school ending activities with our grandkids. The beds were comfortable. I loved the Texas state waffle maker and the library of excellent books for children and adults. Michael was a very caring and concerned host but in no way intrusive. I would stay here again.

Quiet neighborhood, easy access to NASA

We were visiting friends in League City, so we wanted to be close to them. This location was a quiet residential neighborhood, which was wonderful. Our whole family had plenty of space and the owner has made sure there are dishes and kitchen amenities to be able to cook on site! Located blocks away from a great BBQ place too.

Graduation Visit

We enjoyed the stay but would like to recommend that a step be added to the front door to make entry a little easier. Also, it would help if the toliets were replaced with ADA aproved as they are higher and since we are older, it would be appreciated by the next family if hand holds were added to the master bath shower.

Enjoyable family home

My 2 siblings and 2 spouses and I enjoyed a stay at this comfortable home while attending a family wedding. Accommodations were clean and very comfortable. Location was excellent as it was very close to all our wedding events and shopping when needed. Close to Kemah and NASA- both very enjoyable. Owner Michael kept in great communication and very eager to serve us. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Friend Reunion

My husband one of my best friends along with my 5 year old came to stay to see our other best friend who lived out of the country for a year. The house was cute and inviting. The AC works very well which is a must in south Texas. The check in/check out process was easy. Would stay there again when we come back down if it is available.

Great Location!

Location was great for us as we used the house while visiting NASA. The address listed was actually for the house next door, weird, but I had the listing up and saw the house so I knew which one we were supposed to be at. It took me a bit to figure out how to lock the door using the key pad and the nest thermostat kept changing the temperature to super cold - I have no idea how to operate those things so it kept changing the temperature. Great location as it was near lots of good places to eat, Kemah boardwalk and NASA. My son especially loved all the Star Wars references and the Legos in the kid's room was a special touch. Kitchen was great - we couldn't find a pizza pan or a cookie sheet, would be a nice add? Overall very clean and great communication from the owners as the built-in microwave took a dump but they still supplied a small one.

Check out a problem claiming missing pillow chams and damage.

We are being charged for pillow chams my daughters say was never on the pillows in the twin room. Host says damaged furniture by finding a coloring mark. I paid for the cleaning fee. A side table was moved because no bedside table in one of the bedrooms. A side table was needed to charge phone laptop because son had to do some work. The house was good overall. The garage had a cat or dog smell. A gate to the fence was missing on the side, so was a problem with the young children playing outside. The listing stated fenced yard, but did not say gate missing.

Thanks for the review. It is not appropriate to move furniture and to disconnect electronics. There is a bedside table on side of bed already. There are MULTIPLE USB ports in this house. I replace nimerous outlets with outlets that have USB ports as well as 110. So if one forgets a brick there are at least a dozen locations to charge laptops, tablets, phones, etc. There is a desk in the house to do any computer, schoolwork, or otherwise. You took out the router in the table which disconnected the electronic lock and other things that the cleaners can't finure out. Cleaning fees DO NOT INCLUDE damage to new furniture or moving furniture or reconnecting electronics. Guest did pay for the minor damage and missing shams so we amended her review. We continue to have a no pets policy. There is a $2000 air purifier in the house to keep the house fresh and it also removes viruses and other germs. It was likely the garage had a small damp smell from lawn equipment that has grass in it, but I can think of no other reason for her statement. The garage has been recently painted including ceilings and floors so even if there was such an issue it was removed. Yes, trash cans are in there as well. The garage isn't a livable space to review in our opinion. Guest is right that we are replacing a gate, but it is not a child proof gate so there really isn't a reasonable reason to complain about such a thing in our opinion as we recommend that small children are not left unsupervised. This is the 1st non 5 * review we have had since 2014 and is basically a disagreement about whether cleaning fee should cover damage to furniture. Guest says cleaning fee should be sufficient, we say damage is above costs of cleaning. FYI, Guest was billed $75 for damage to coffee table top and 2 missing shams, a very reasonable charge. If anyone has a reason to give lower than 5*, the answer is to contact host as soon as possible so we may resolve the situation. After the fact does no one any good. Safe travels and very Happy New Year to all!

It has great access here to the bayou, creek, lake, bay or ocean. Easy to get to Hobby airport and about an hour from Bush. Stay in the area before or after a cruise. We can also allow you to park vehicles if you are wanting a safe place while on a trip.
