Das Lake Almanor Basin ist vor allem als Erholungsparadies bekannt. Hier finden Sie viele Angelmöglichkeiten, See, Fluss und Bach. Tor zum nahegelegenen Lassen Volcanic National Park. Drakesbad und zahlreiche andere Seen. Hier treffen sich die Sierra Nevada und die Cascade.

Unser Haus liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Hamilton Branch Einlass zum Lake Almanor. Dies ist am nördlichen Ende der East Shore, nur die Straße vom Country Club Golfplatz auf der Halbinsel und dem Golfplatz am Bailey Creek. Wir liegen günstig in der Nähe der Kreuzung der A13 und des Highway 147, nur wenige Minuten von den Städten Clear Creek und Westwood entfernt. Auch in der Nähe befindet sich die Hauptstadt von Chester mit all Ihren Lebensmittel und Miet-und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Ein Flugurlaub ist am Rogers Field Airport einfach.


Im Sommer 2008 haben wir den Bau unseres Ferienhauses abgeschlossen. Es hat ca. 1900 qm Wohnfläche, mit Blick auf Dyer Mountain von unserem Great Room.
Wir wissen, dass Sie sich in unserem "Zuhause in der Ferne" sehr wohl fühlen werden, ob Sie nur zum Entspannen kommen oder an allem teilnehmen, was der Lake Almanor zu bieten hat. Wonderful House

We arrived at the house and found it very nicely decorated, clean and ready for us to enjoy our weekend stay. Very nice open kitchen/living room design was very conducive to visiting. If you stay here you won't be disappointed.

Nice accommodation!

House set up was great, check in was easy, parking was ample for multiple vehicles. Easy run into town. Kitchen and great room area were great for gathering. Beds and baths were ample. Futon on laundry room was useful, if a little tight. House is in a neighborhood and does not have a lake view nor access, though is close enough to Chester for activities.

Family reunion weekend

We had a rough start, accident with our 6 year old as we were checking in. We were 20 minutes early, property was no where near being ready, we assisted as best we could, helping with outdoor landscape, until our medical emergency. I have stayed at this property before so I knew the house. I am sure this is a one time incident with house not being ready for check in, but surprised at lack of acknowledgement of the situation by owner..

Renters had requested an early check-in unfortunately we were unable to accommodate that request due to a landscape project being finished up that day. They arrived early anyway and proceeded to unload two cars full of kids bikes scooters and family and wanting to put refrigerator items away which I accommodated while trying to take care of their needs one of the children fell off their scooter down the road with no shoes, shirt or helmet he was now on the kitchen counter getting 1st aid as I’m giving them directions to the towns hospital. This was definitely a rough start. If they had arrived at normal check-in time 4:00pm , instead of 2:15, landscape project and finishing touches on the house would’ve been finished up and ready for their arrival.

Beautiful fully equipped home

A bit expensive, but well worth it. The deck was our favorite hangout. Kitchen is fully supplied to prepare a multi course dinner. Beds are comfortable with crisp linens. This is a beautiful home with all the comforts you'll need.

Very nice home

This house was very clean with nice appointments inside. It is close to three golf courses and some very good restaurants. Wonderful home for a family vacation. We especially like the outdoor deck for relaxing and bar-b-queing.

Outstanding - Beautiful Home!

We stayed at the house for three nights. Upon entering the home, we were very impressed with the layout, décor, and cleanliness. This was our first VRBO stay and we loved it. The back deck is nice and the charcoal BBQ worked great for our group. It was a hot weekend up at Lake Almanor but you wouldn't know it in the house. We opened it up in the late evening and closed it up in the morning. When we returned after boating all day, the house was still cool and comfortable. Dee Dee was an absolute pleasure to work with and we are very thankful that she is willing to share her home with others.

Wonderful week

This place was more than I was expecting. I've rented VRBO's the past 5 years in Lake Almanor and this was by far the nicest. It accommodated our party of 8 nicely. Each family had their own side of the house separated by the kitchen and great room for privacy. The deck was nice to unwind at the end of the day with a glass of wine. Overall it's 5 star in my book and look forward to renting this place in the future.

Great spot for our Holiday weekend with friends!

We were very happy with our experience. It provides the perfect spot to relax and enjoy Lake Almanor with our friends. We loved the easy driveway for our boat and parking as well. We absolutely loved this house. We have been renting houses at Almanor for 13 years and by far this is one of the best! The kitchen was the best out of all the houses. It literally had everything you need and more. We usually have to bring extra cooking pots, utensils and ect. Not with this house. Very clean, great deck and a great variety of movies!! We really liked the home. It was nicer than the photos show. Kitchen is very nice and well equipped. Baths are also very nicely done. Deck is great. We sat out there a lot. The 3rd bed is in the laundry room which was not a problem for us but it was small and unusual. I would definitely stay here again.

Julie and family were great guests. The laundry room would actually be a 4th room, we use it for an extra sleeping area but don’t concider it to be a bed room, it does Have it’s own half bath which is convenient.

The House was great!

We came for labor day weekend with the kids and the grandparents. The house was so pleasant and comfortable. We had to drive 20 minutes to the public beach which was great (just next to the dam). Lassen Park was a bit further away from what I was hoping but overall we were very pleased and might come back if we are in the area again.

BEWARE

BEWARE. Do not be fooled by this owner's property description or sweet photo of her family. The home was not as advertised. I emailed the property owner ahead of time, notifying we were bringing our close friend with terminal cancer. The home does not have AC and it was miserably hot. When asked about it she told us to open the windows at night. No, it did not cool down enough at night, even though we brought our own fans. If I had told her my very ill friend was coming, wouldn't common decency dictate to disclose lack of basic environmental controls? When I was searching for a property, I specifically searched for properties that allowed pets. It wasn't until I got there until I saw the rule on the fridge, "no pets". Sunday during the day, the owner came to the home when there were no cars in the driveway (I stayed home to take a nap, the rest of the family went fishing) and ATTEMPTED TO ENTER THE HOME WHILE I WAS HOME ALONE. Our interaction made me extremely uncomfortable and gave me nightmares. If there was a concern about the noise or other issues, we could have been told directly instead of passive aggressive and invasive tactics. We're all professional adults and never had more than 10 people in the house. Immediately after our conversation, she changed the profile to "no pets". Prior to that, the profile of the home did not disclose this. I have rented 6 properties all over the country and this is hands down the worst experience I've ever had. Her behavior was so shifty we made sure to take photos of the property before we left. We followed all of her rules and still an additional aggregious amount was taken out of my deposit for "spills" on the floor and because I brought my little dog without knowing that it was against the rules (this is in addition to the cleaning deposit). In addition: The TV's are from the 90's and have poor sound. None of the remotes that are there match the TV's. She advertises a "pool table" but it's actually a multigame table about a quarter of the size of a regular pool table. There were not any paper towels, saran wrap, or aluminum foil. There was not enough toilet paper for our group... we had to go buy our own. Any questions I had I asked her and was greeted with condescending answers. When I asked for explanation, I was greeted with silence. This is the most corrupt, unscrupulous experience I've had for a long time. I love Lake Almanor, but not sure I'd live there if these are the neighbors.

Great Family Home

This house was perfect for my children and grandchildren. The kitchen was beautiful and very well appointed. There was plenty of room for everyone. The owner was very nice and the home was spotless. We would stay there again in a flash!!

About the owner: We live on the central coast of California. It's about a 7 hour drive away, with stops for the girls. My husband Joe works for a college and I am a Chef for a University.We have two girls, they both teach and coach water polo and swim, which keeps us all very busy. The girls love going to the lake. They have made great friends in the neighborhood that they snowshoe with in the winter and hike and bike around the lake with in the summer. We all enjoy going out on our boat. Having 2 launch ramps only a couple of miles away makes it convenient to get in and out of the water quickly. My husband and I, (but mostly Joe), have built 80% of this house ourselves. Joe's love for building has made this a true adventure. Sometimes through rain, snow and sleet, using all his vacation time and every other weekend for a year, Joe traveled to Lake Almanor to build our lake house. It has been a true labor of love. He has done such a great job, and we would now like to share it with others. If you bring your friends and family we're sure you won't be disappointed. There are so many great things to do here and you'll have a roomy, comfortable home to call your own during your stay. We're sure you'll make great memories here, as we have. Happy Vacationing! We fell in love with Lake Almanor in 2005, after visiting family that lived in the area. It's almost like being in Mayberry RFD, the people are so friendly and helpful, and there's almost no crime. Though we love living on the Central Coast we decided to build a second home in a small, 'four season' recreational area. We searched for this property for over a year. My husband Joe would drive up and scout around looking for the perfect place to build. We finally found what we were looking for with a view of the mountains and so close to the lake. The house was completed in the fall of 2008.

There are so many unique benefits that we enjoy while spending time at our property. Joe's brother designed the original plans for our house which we modified to accommodate our needs to entertain large groups of friends and family. I have enjoyed designing the big kitchen and stocking it with almost everything we could posible need to create a gourmet meal, with plenty of room to have the whole family get involved. For spending time indoors, we enjoy a great collection of family games, and movies for both young and old. When we feel like enjoying the great outdoors we play basketball in our huge driveway or sometimes launch the boat at the free ramp at Canyon Dam and spend the day fishing or tubing and skiing. We also love all the biking opportunities in the area. On one of our more adventurous days we 'lunched' at nearby historical Drakesbad and afterwards took a dip in their pool fed by the hot springs. Next time we may add a horseback ride, and then dinner and campfire stories. During the winter we snow-shoe right out our front door across the street and through the forest. We have also had the opportunity to go snowmobiling wth friends in different locations nearby. Our girls just love playing in the snow and sledding with neighborhood friends.
