Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über einen 48-Zoll-Flachbild-Smart-TV mit DVD-Player, Klimaanlage und Gaskamin. Die Küche verfügt über einen großen Esstisch, einen Kühlschrank, einen Gasherd mit Backofen, eine Mikrowelle, eine programmierbare Kaffeemaschine, eine Kaffeemühle, einen Toaster, eine elektrische Teekanne, einen Mixer, eine elektrische Bratpfanne, Geschirr, Töpfe und Pfannen, Besteck und Besteck. Staubsauger, Besen & Mopp und Handstaubsauger sorgen für eine schnelle Reinigung. Summer Lake Trip

This cabin was perfect for our family of five. It was our first lake trip with our kids and it was so wonderful to wake up and have the view of the lake from the kitchen and a large deck to hang out, eat and watch the sunset. We enjoyed the convenience of being so close to knotty pine boat rentals and having our own personal dock to pull up to if you have your own boat or if you need to refuel on snacks while in your rented boat. There’s a grassy area to play with your fur baby as well. Coffee and convenience store are just across the street and there are many great restaurants in the area. Highly recommend this spot.

Perfect again

This place and this unit are great. Awesome view of Big Cove from the deck and great access to the water with private dock and launch. This is my 4th time renting from Karen and Clint and they are super responsive and available if needed. They have updated the internet to super fast satellite service for those that want to go online or stream a movie. Fishing was incredible with 28 catch and release trout in 3 days for two people. Can’t wait to come back and sorry to go home is the story every time!

Great summer getaway

We love this location, and the owners are amazingly responsive. This isn't our first time there... we come annually. The property is always clean and well stocked. The resort is quiet. Perfect for families. Boating, fishing, hiking are all nearby. I can't say enough. We'll be back!

Beautiful mountain lake get away

Cozy cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Almanor on the back deck and when cooking also . The Red Onion restaurant is a very short walk. Karen and Clint are wonderful hosts. We had a Wi-Fi problem 1st day and was unable to connect. Hosts came next morning and solved the issue promptly ! Pets allowed makes it ever cozier, Will Definitely Book Again !

Siblings Trip

My siblings and I rented this cabin for a long weekend. Everything was exceptional from location to check in to correspondence to amenities. The only complaint we had was the cleanliness of the cabin. I understand it’s a “cabin” but there were cob webs and spiderwebs everywhere. Stuck on food in areas of furniture and refrigerator. Nothing we could not live with. I just think it needs a really good deep cleaning and all would be good. Hosts were awesome!

Missing the Basics and Communication

Our stay was clouded by missing the VERY BASICS such as not providing enough towels/toilet paper for the number of people and nights stayed. We had to borrow a workable can opener from other renters, broken BBQ tongs, and not a Kleenex to be found! The family area is quite small with oversized furniture, and you have to access the deck through one of the bedrooms where some are still sleeping. The owners advertise, "call us anytime," however they do not tell you IF they will respond "anytime." We contacted them with two different questions/requests and received ZERO responses from them. Lack of basics and failed communications landed this place only 2-stars!

Overall it was a great stay the only bummer upon arrival was the cleanliness could have been a little better. There was old coffee in the coffee pot and coffee grounds. And spider webs in the corners of the ceiling in the master bedrooms.

We loved staying at your cabin and our dog loved it even more. More dogs than people at the property. We fished and boated and walked to dinner and the market just like our lovely hosts told us. We chose this property because it has everything! It has a great location on the north shore of the Peninsula of Lake Almanor that allows it to get a lot of sun and great views of the lake. Because it is located in Big Cove, it is sheltered from the wind and it provides easy access in and out of the marina.
Our Cabin #12 is also part of a quiet resort that has many additional facilities such as a picnic area, boat launch, boat slips, fire pit, fish cleaning station etc.
While the cabin is located in a quiet, lakeside setting, it is also near the town of Chester that has many amenities including a hospital.
Cabin #12 is only two hours from our home in Reno that allows us to use it ourselves quite often. There are no high passes to cross in the winter time, allowing us to get there in summer and winter.
Lake Almanor is a beautiful lake that is not as commercialized or crowded as other lakes in Northern Nevada and California. The lake is a pretty blue and many of its sunrises and sunsets are to die for! It has four great seasons and does not have extremes that are difficult to contend with.
What is not to like about this property?

We feel there are three major reasons why Cabin #12 is unique for a great stay:
1. COMFORT: We put king and queen size 'pillow-top' mattresses on the beds in the bedrooms. We know how difficult it can be to sleep in discomfort when away from home. With our stays averaging between 3 days and two weeks, we wanted to make sure our guests feel comfortable, day and night.
We also put in a large dining room table with padded chairs to make people comfortable while eating or playing cards and games. We added a comfortable leather chair in addition to the couch and other chairs.
2. CONVENIENCE: Cabin #12 is located across the street from the Red Onion restaurant and bar and the Peninsula Market that has an award winning deli and coffee shop. You can cook on the gas grill on the lake view deck or buy breakfast at the Market Deli or have a great dinner and drink at the Red Onion. They are both within easy walking distance of the cabin.
Having a free boat launch and slip during your stay makes lake activities convenient for you. Everything you need is within a short walk. If you need more, the town of Chester is less than 8 miles away and Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park is only 35 miles away. There are many many adventures waiting for you within minutes!
3. CONNECTION: Like many places, we offer free wifi. We also offer an office desk and wireless printer to catch up on a few minutes of work while you're enjoying your adventures! For evening relaxation, we installed a 48 inch flat screen Smart TV along with a DVD Blue Ray Player and Apple TV. We know how important it is to be connected these days and we have tried to accommodate your needs away from home.
