INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL Florida Panhandle Property Management furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has starter amenities shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided, as well as beach towels and black makeup washcloths.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN ORDER TO ENJOY YOUR STAY
This house sleeps up to 12 people.
NO smoking (cigarettes, marijuana, cigars) or vaping allowed inside, and we ask that you use caution when smoking on pool chairs to not put burn holes in them.
Check-in is at 4:00 pm, and check-out is at 10:00 am.
Pet Friendly - up to 2 pets allowed. Non-refundable pet fee per pet applies.
Primary renter must be 25 years of age and remain on property for the duration of the stay. In accordance with Florida State Statute 509.41, reservations made under false pretense are null and void, and check-in will not be allowed, or guests will be asked to vacate the residence without refund.
Quiet time hours & disturbances: Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 10:00 AM. Be mindful of neighbors and keep noise levels to a minimum at all times.
Please be advised that while we do offer free Wi-Fi, service in the area can be spotty regardless of provider. Should you require stable internet service for work or pleasure; please bring an ethernet cord to plug into the router or bring access to a hotspot with you. Limited tech support. Property manager is great.
Had a great time at this property. Very convenient to the beach. What few minor issues came up, the property manager was very quick to address them. We would recommend this for families with kids, the bunkhouse was perfect!

Awesome Beach Stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunnyside Surf Shack! The house is very cozy and decorated so cute! All the beds are super comfortable. The backyard with the pool and outdoor area was a huge bonus for us all to come back to each afternoon/evening after a day at the beach. The beach was an easy quick walk and we always found a perfect spot right on the beach right at the nearest access point and it was never crowded. The home is very well stocked for all your needs while there. I highly recommend Sunnyside Surf Shack!

Pics don’t match the current condition of the house
Let me first say that management was great. She was very on top of it in regards to response but the pictures do not match the current condition of the house. The floor in the dining room was broken and sunk in, the back porch is covered in poison ivy, there are multiple outlets sticking out of the walsl, the living room furniture has stains, and the bathroom in the garage out back that is converted into a room is not finished. I feel like they have to know about the damage in the house and just don’t seem to care because the damage to the floor in the dining room had a rug over it and that is not in the pictures online. Overall, I would not recommend staying here.

Thanks for taking a moment to leave a review from your stay. I'm extremely sorry that the house did not meet your expectations. You are the only guest this summer to mention the floor, so I had no idea of the condition until I sent my guy over to check it out for you. The owner is now aware and will be repairing it in the off season. There are rugs throughout the property, including the dining area as you mentioned, though they are not there to hide anything. They are just there to do what rugs do - add some color to the room and hopefully protect from slips/falls.
You mentioned poison ivy to me when you were leaving, so I did go and check it out. There are definitely vines growing over the back fence from the neighboring property but it is not poison ivy. We have a lawn maintenance company that visits the property twice a month, and I feel sure they would have already alerted me if they thought it was poison ivy.
I'm not quite sure what you mean "multiple outlets sticking out of the walls", so I can't really address that.
The living room couch has a beige slipcover, so I would concur that it probably does need to be removed and washed, given that we've had up to 12 guests every week since the end of May. Unfortunately we don't have time in between check-out and check-in to launder those slipcovers, but it is definitely something that we do in the off season.
The bathroom in the bunkhouse is a 1/2 bath and the listing notes that. I apologize if you did not see that in the listing.
Summer can be rough on a house, and given that your stay was the last week of what we consider to be peak season, I have no doubt that the house was perhaps a bit beat up. I have taken your feedback to the owner and I do appreciate the time spent leaving a review.

Practically perfect!
I can't say enough good things about this rental and Kathryn with FLAPPM! The owners have really created a little private slice of paradise at Sunnyside Surf Shack.
Firstly, the whole rental process was easy and Kathryn was probably the most responsive manager I've ever worked with (and I am a worrywart, so I probably drove her crazy).
The pool was so clean, the water felt like silk on our skin. The pool folks did come a few times in the 2 weeks we were there, but they were in and out, quiet and very polite. It was no inconvenience at all.
The main house is so cute! The best dining set up we've seen in a rental with the wall bench and a table big enough for all 6 of us to eat at. The sofas were very comfortable and FINALLY a living room with enough places for more than 2 or 3 people to sit. The kitchen is very well stocked.
The bunkhouse is so cute! So much room, and whatever the AC was set on was perfect because it felt great in there.
Our favorite thing about the whole place, aside of the pool, was the outdoor seating area. We loved the daybed! It's such a perfect set up and so much room for a group.
The whole area was quiet and a lot slower than down the road. I walked 3 miles every morning right before the sun came up and it was so peaceful! It's a great area to walk or job or ride a bike.
The entire property was so clean, and pretty much everything you need is there, even some spare beach towels!
It took us less than 3 minutes to walk to the beach hauling our stuff, but we did rent the golf cart too for those in the group that didn't want to walk in that heat. (Couldn't fit our whole group and our gear on the 6 seater golf cart, but that thing was very nice to have!)
I believe in full honesty on the reviews so I just want to add that if you have someone with bad knees or struggles with steps, there are steps at the front and back doors of the main house, and up to the pool. Also, the closest beach access has 2 flights of stairs plus a few steps. There's are close accesses without the steps, though! And no steps going from the driveway through the back gate into the bunkhouse, so there's options!
I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet, private vacation spot on the west end of PCB.

Location was excellent. Easy walk to the beach. Golf cart was perfect for hauling items to and from the beach access point. Loved the pool. Great for the kids to play in when they were tired of the beach. House was well stocked, plenty of seating, and sleeping areas. Nice covered, outdoor seating area. House does need some updating - a couple of missing / loose tiles in the kitchen and upstairs bathroom. But it had everything we needed. Communication with the host and check-in process were excellent. Would definitely stay here again if vacationing in the area.

Awesome Beach Getaway and Would Highly Recommend!
My husband and I sometimes escape to the beach with my sister/brother in law and their kids. Everyone loved that this property had plenty of room to either be together or get away to our own spaces. The teenagers even had a separate guest house to sleep or just hang out. We also enjoyed the covered patio with fire pit and grill that made staying in sometimes more enjoyable than fighting crowds at restaurants. Few other mentions would be the super comfy beds, large dining table, stylish beach decor as well as a short walk to the beach. We will definitely return!!
