Great stay
Overall the stay was great. The area surrounding isn’t the nicest but it’s not horrible. Close walk to the beach. About 10 a min walk down to the main drag with hotels and restaurants. The room its self was clean and comfortable. Perfect for our family of 4. The only complaint was the room is dated. Old appliances, doors, curtains, etc.

On our first full day we got locked out of our hotel room due to a malfunctioning lock. No one could unlock it with their online system so we had to wait over 30 minutes on two different occasions to get inside our room.Then, there were obvious plumbing issues seeing as the shower and bathroom sink never drained properly. Coming from the BEACH and not having functioning bathroom facilities for the duration of our stay was ridiculous.Additionally, there were smaller things I’d be willing to overlook (pillow with dirt streaks, flickering lights, etc), but these partnered with the larger issues made the stay less enjoyable.On top of all of this, the host did not respond to any of the issues we messaged him about. Property management did help during our stay, but I think there is need for more organization because we had to call multiple times to report on the same issue. Before continuing to rent out this property, I suggest this place go through a thorough inspection and see how they can improve. Best part about this place is the location and that’s about it. If you are considering booking, do it directly through Waikiki Banyan because the people at the front desk will be able to help and I assume it would mean a quicker resolution to issues during your stay. Otherwise, it’d be smart to look at other rentals in the area or splurge on a hotel.

2 Blocks from Waikiki Beach!
The condo was roomy, queen beds were comfy, partial view of Diamond Head was very nice! We didn’t use the kitchen but it’s equipped. The walking distance to Waikiki Beach and attractions was awesome. Didn’t have much trouble with parking. Our next stay will have to be in North Shore or Kailua though.

Condo was very clean, with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and toiletries. Reasonable living room and dining space. Condo location was great, close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Was in Hawaii for a family visit so no beach time. Ate all meals out so didn’t use kitchen but it seemed to have the basics. Coffee pot carafe didn’t fit coffee maker but was able to get a few cups out of it. Property manager very responsive as the parking pass was missing from unit. Had to park off site the first night but they promptly provided us with a pass. Overall, the unit had everything we needed for a very nice stay.

Property was under construction when we visited, but we were notified in advance. Building itself is located in central Waikiki with great walking distance to everything, hard to get a hold of anyone when you need help or clarification with things. Building condition and cleanliness was okay, as expected for a busy central location.
Note to anyone renting a vehicle while staying here: parking is limited (not advertised) and do not rent a vehicle with clearance about 6’0. Building will not accommodate or provide street parking, car break ins are high in the area and we were unable to use the allocated parking and ended up having to take the rental car back. Use Turo or Uber instead if needed and don’t rely on the building for parking.

Very clean
Stayed here in August 2024 the property is clean and exactly like the pictures every thing was great! We have stayed at Waikiki Banyan few times in different units. The only improvement or suggestion is the unit didn’t have a broom or a vacuum, with going to the breach everyday would have been nice to clean the floor also one of the chairs in the kitchen was broken and couldn’t all eat together which was bummer. There is also construction going on at the poor floor one floor below which created a lot of noise. Other then that no complaints the unit is beautiful will stay here again

I was moved from the original room I booked bc its air conditioning was broken. Also, it felt unclean and not cared for. I was able to have myself moved to another room it had great air conditioning but the tile floors desperately need a steam cleaning, they felt dirty, cupboards need fixing and the whole place needs to be repainted including molding. Walls were very dirty. Time to invest some time and money there.
