Relaxing stay at the lake

Very nice stay! Property has lot of nice water activity amenities. Very cute towns nearby! House was nice and cozy.

Beautiful location with easy access to lots to do. Incredibly clean and comfortable even with a 1 year old walking around. The outdoor shower was amazing and super nice neighbors! 10/10 will be back! On top it hosts were so kind and helpful!

Perfect family spot

A wonderful spot to relax and rewind. Wonderful home with everything you could want or need. Our family enjoyed the water, kayaks, paddle boards, eagle watching and just hanging out on the huge deck or shady yard. Highly recommend!

Great place on the lake

Perfect place for a girls weekend. Location, views, amenities etc were excellent. They even provided firewood, and extra ice. Several kayaks to use, which was great. Large table for playing games, comfortable beds, linens and towels provided. Couldn't have asked for more!

Amazing waterfront retreat

This property was perfect for our annual girl’s weekend. We especially loved the huge deck, dock, and multiple kayaks. We appreciated the stocked kitchen so we could cook meals in. The host was great and super easy to communicate with. Wonderful place!

Excellent home and hosts

AJ was the best host we have ever worked with. So easy to communicate with and so nice and thoughtful. The house was great and perfect for our party of 4 adults and 4 kids under 7 yrs old. The views were beautiful, the lake was fun to swim in and the toys (kayaks, paddle boat, etc) made life very easy for us.

Had a great time staying at this VRBO. Everything was clean, organized, and ready to go. Owners are very accommodating and prompt to answer questions. Even had extra life jackets for us! Would definitely come back.

A.J. was easy to communicate with. The house was well stocked, very clean and A.J. made sure we had what we needed. We had a girls trip with our daughters. Made many memories.

Family Reunion

AJ lake house was beautiful and a wonderful place for our family to gather. Loved being right on lake Pepin. Just be aware the Buckbed is not really comfortable for adults. Ended up using Mattress on the floor. responsive via text

We understand that, much like in the story of Goldilocks, finding the "just right" bed is a very personal experience, and comfort can vary greatly from person to person. While this is the first time we’ve received feedback about discomfort with our bunk beds, we recognize that bunk beds are often more efficient for accommodating children rather than adults. We strive to ensure all our guests are as comfortable as possible, which is why we provide two goose down featherbeds to enhance the comfort of your sleeping arrangement. We’re happy to hear that the extra mattress we store under the full bed in the bunk room was useful to you. If you choose to stay with us again, we hope you find the setup that works best for you.

Very happy overall. A second actual bathroom would have been convenient. Unfortunate that the was so low ... not great fishing ... but certainly not your fault. It was a great weekend with good memories.

Fishing trip stay

Was told dock was usable for our fishing boats. It wasn’t as the water was completely murky and not deep enough to take an outboard. The dock itself was covered in bird feces to the point where you couldn’t walk on it. Hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The house itself is nice but only sleeps 4 adults comfortably.

Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the low water levels. The Mississippi River’s water levels do fluctuate significantly. Before your stay, I measured the water level and believed I had clearly communicated the conditions. I’ll make sure to be even more thorough in the future. We do regularly clean the dock, but the presence of wildlife is beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding and feedback and we hope you enjoyed other aspects of your stay.

Lovely lake house

The house is nice. Not fancy, but nice. Only caveat was the single bath (known) and lack of dishwasher or laundry (not realized). The beach is right off the back deck. It’s not a really nice sandy beach but it was fine and the dock gave access to fishing both of shore and off dock. Water was clean and cool. Kayaks were great. We fished and caught fish. Stocked wood for fires was super nice. AJ is awesome. She was super responsive and accommodating. The coffee maker didn’t work the first morning and she ran one by quickly. The propane went out and they ran one by in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend just knowing it’s not luxurious and fancy but it is really great for a simple lake house.

Mississippi Getaway

The cabin house was neat and tidy and well decorated! Our host provided beautiful towels and bedding including two featherbeds that felt like heaven while sleeping on a pull out couch! Our kitchen and grilling area was well stock amd easy to use.Our host was excellent! We had issues with a wasp nest on the deck and they came over in a timely manner and sprayed for us! Thank you we ! We spent time relaxing in the the much needed A/C and on the spacious deck. We chartered a sail on a 31 foot sailboat out of the marina in town and it was a beautiful afternoon! we explored the shops and winery in town. Stockholm chocolates and pies were delightful! Our only disappointment is that we were not informed by our host that we would not have a dock or easy lake access for our stay until the morning we departed for their home We would have liked to have this information in the timeframe for a full refund and re book somewhere with cleaner easier access to the water. We booked this property specifically because it was on the water and the water was so low there was no dock. And we loved taking out the kayak and paddleboat on the lake but had to wade through stinky mud to pull the boats out past the seaweed to deep enough water to boat. We enjoyed much needed down time and fun-filled family time!
