Showcasing sweeping lake views and direct water access, this getaway boasts two decks and a deluxe private dock complete with a sun deck and step-down ladder for swimming. Rejuvenate in your private hot tub after a refreshing dip in the lake. The lower level deck offers a quiet perch to take in the views and the fully screened upper deck is furnished for outdoor living with a gas grill and outdoor furniture. The full kitchen comes well-appointed for home cooking and family meals can be enjoyed together at the dining table. In the evenings, unwind by the living area fireplace or break out the home's board game collection for a family game night. A home office adds a convenient work-from-home option and comes furnished as an available bedroom accommodation for larger group needs.

There's more than just the lake to enjoy when you stay at this Blue Ridge retreat. Boasting year-round beauty, the area offers a diverse array of things to see and do, from hiking and fishing, to golf and seasonal festivals. Discover quaint shops and great local dining in nearby Hiawassee or take a scenic drive to explore vineyards, farms, and orchards.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Property was very nice and had a beautiful view of the lake! Everyone had a great time and the dock was a good amenity. Bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed. We had a full party of 10 and it was tight but still comfortable for everyone. Main drawback to the property was that the driveway was extremely steep, and in the rain became very slippery and was not well lit. It was hazardous in the best of conditions, and we did have someone fall while taking out the trash. Still would highly recommend the location, but suggest extra care and minimizing the number of cars you bring as well.

Family vacation on the lake

We loved the dock & perfectly warm, clean, deep water to swim and play around in. Great safe, quiet location. The house is spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the lake, although a bit “tired”. It could use a refresh- new carpet, couch, outdoor cushions, etc. The beds are not the most comfortable, but not awful- would definitely start to hurt your back after a few days. The driveway is incredibly steep so be prepared to have to do a bit of manoeuvring to get in and out of the drive. We overall had a wonderful time due to the location on the beautiful lake with very easy access.

Great stay at Talend Place

This place is clean, peaceful, and quiet. My family and I really enjoyed it. Our two teenagers had a blast in the water. We will definitely come back again!! Thank you!

Fantastic location and a beautiful home

The home is lovely, located on a quiet cove that allowed us to paddleboard and swim without being bothered by too many motor boats. Neighbors are very nice and Dogwood trail is lovely. Only negative review is that I texted Vacasa the first full day we were there to report that the previous guest had left both trash cans full and asked that they come pick it up. I received no response, and the next morning woke to find one of the cans tipped over and animals had been in it. We took our trash to the transfer station per the instructions the rest of the week. Overall- a lovely place and I highly recommend it, but I do hope Vacasa will take better care of trash and overall cleanliness of the exterior.

The house and the dock are great. The cove the house is located in is quiet and you don't have a lot of boat traffic passing by which is good so kids can swim and play in the water.

Family Thanksgiving vacation

Overall, the house was nice and clean on the inside. We enjoyed the fireplace and the views. The driveway is hard to pull out of because of the incline. The dryer was slow to dry clothes.

Lake view paradise

Our family loved our stay here. Beautiful view of the lake. We had a great time swimming, fishing and exploring all the nearby towns that we love. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. The washer quit working during our stay but they were nice enough to bring us plenty of extra towels to get us through. We are already planning our trip for next year!

Very Nice

A very quiet relaxing beautiful home and location. The Hot tub on the back porch is great. Comfortable beds and plenty of room to stretch out. The available dock is a very nice amenity. Just be aware, you need to go past the house and turn around somewhere before you try to drive into the driveway.

Fall Getaway

Process was smooth and had no hiccups. Talend Place was everything that it was advertised to be and then some. Brad was an especially gracious host who checked on us several times to ensure we were comfortable and stated that he was there to help with whatever we needed. Highly recommend Talend Place!!

Peaceful

Our family enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful week at Talend. The house was very clean and well appointed. The location was excellent to the lake, Helen and a multitude of hiking trails. The kids loved swimming in the lake and the house it located on a very quiet section of the lake. We had a couple of minor issues, but the hosts were quick to respond and resolve the issues. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Good Stay on Lake Chatuge

This house is simple but comfortable with a good layout on the first/main floor. The view exposure faces West, so you get good afternoon sun & sunsets. The dock is great and the cove is perfect for floating with cocktails. Great grill (Weber). The Vacasa team was very responsive when the WiFi went down and got that fixed. There are a few misses: no firepit, could use ceiling fans on main porch as it can get hot, there’s no dresser in Bedroom #2 and the closet in that bedroom is locked, so no place to put clothes. The house tic’s the boxes on the key items and overall I’d recommend.

Great Fall Break

We rented the house with friends and our kids loved the lake and hot tub. It was not stop entertainment for the kids as they were in the water the entire time we were there. We did not find the kayak that was said to be provided, but we brought a canoe and used ourself. We also brought our own solo stove and used in the driveway at night, it worked perfectly. The space in the house is great, the location is amazing in relation to town and on the lake itself, and we found plenty of kitchen items to help us cook meals. The deck is amazing and was where a majority of time was spent for the adults. The ice maker in the fridge made ice quickly! We would not hesitate to rent this house again, it was a great value, our families had so much fun.

Wouldn't stay here again

The house was very clean and management company responded quickly, however: 1) Kayak mentioned in the ad - there is no kayak 2) Stairs down to the lake are overgrown with thorny vines growing onto the stairs. The entire lake front yard is overgrown and unsightly. 3) There was one lounge chair on the dock in great condition, the only other seating was 2 plastic adirondack chairs, both filthy, one broken. We wanted to sit on the dock so the kids could swim. 4) Two kitchen chairs were broken, they could have collapsed easily under weight. The management company sent new chairs (which needed to be assembled) the day after they were alerted but they were shipped and left at the mailbox. We had to bring the chairs in. The management company couldn't come to put them together until the day before we left. We will be looking for a different house to rent next year.

Beautiful Lake Home!

We had a great trip enjoying Lake Chatuge! The home was very clean and well appointed. We had two families with a total of 4 young children and we had plenty of room to spread out. The kids loved fishing off the dock and swimming in the lake with the provided floats! Inside, ring toss and plenty of board games kept us busy on a couple of rainy afternoons. We will certainly be back!!
