Unfortunately, our stay in this villa was cut short due to a lightning strike which resulted in the loss of electricity. Although we only had one full day at the villa, we wanted to leave a review to highlight how impressed with were with the villa, the owner and the local host.
The grounds of the villa are spacious and the property is not overlooked. The indoor pool proved to be a very useful facility during a period of rain and cooler weather. In addition, it gives the opportunity to have a swim in the evening without worrying about the mosquitos or the cool nighttime air. The interior of the villa is beautifully decorated, furnished, well equipped and impeccably clean. It would appear that the owners have responded to previous feedback about the Wi-Fi as we found the Internet connection to be reliable and fast and the Smart TV meant that we had access to our own accounts (like Netflix).
Communications with the owners were great, with prompt responses to our questions. The handover of keys was very smooth, with Elisabeth making the process very easy. While we were very disappointed to have to leave the villa at such short notice (due to the lightning strike), we were very impressed with the support and guidance from Elisabeth (who offered an alternative villa and insisted that we didn't worry about the cost of the emergency overnight stay). We were also impressed that the owners made a prompt and full refund, especially as the situation was outside of their control.
