This waterfront home sits on the shores of Georgia’s best kept secret. Jackson Lake is less than an hour from Atlanta, but still maintains a small town feel. Our home boasts 2 bedrooms & 1 bath, with enough space for to host 6-7 people comfortably . Swim off of the dock, bring your boat, or if your feeling frisky try your hand at the rope swing. Take in the amazing views from the giant deck or the dock, and after a long day on the lake retreat to watch the big game or your favorite movie on the 65” tv. Our home also has high speed Wi-Fi. There are several amazing restaurants within 10 minutes of our home to grab a bite or enjoy your favorite adult beverage. Escape the hustle and bustle, & enjoy a weekend on the lake! We enjoyed a nice lake view with morning sunrise on the deck. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable beds. We would recommend this rental to our friends.

We had a great time at this property. We grilled, enjoyed the evening on the dock, enjoyed the local parks, and swam the whole time. We are pooped out lol. I also have to mention Franks restaurant because you just don't see restaurants like that anymore. We will definitely be coming back to this property and Franks. 5 stars all around!

We had an amazing stay at this lake house! Everything was beautiful and very spacious. The living room and TV area were perfect for relaxing, the rooms were nice and comfortable, and the kitchen had plenty of space. We loved the upstairs and downstairs layout, and the balcony view was absolutely beautiful. The lake view was so peaceful. we would definitely stay again!

Unfortunately, our experience at this property was disappointing, and I would not recommend it for a family stay.Upon arrival, we had difficulty accessing the property and were unable to get inside. We contacted the owner for assistance, but it took over an hour to receive a response. By that point, we had already contacted Vrbo support for help.Once inside, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and condition of the home. The property felt unkempt both inside and outside. The bedding did not appear to have been properly cleaned, as we found multiple hairs in the beds. There was also a water leak underneath the bathroom sink that had soaked the toilet paper rolls stored there.One of the most concerning experiences occurred around 2 a.m., when we were awakened by two women skinny dipping directly outside the property and using the rope swing attached to the tree by the lake. This was extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate, especially while staying there with my children.The one positive was that my son really enjoyed the dock and was able to spend time fishing, which he loved. However, given the lack of cleanliness, poor initial communication, overall condition of the property, and the late-night incident by the lake, I unfortunately would not recommend this property for families.

Hey Deon, not sure why the poor review. We let you check in 3 hours without charge. The cabin has literally the best waterfront view of lake Jackson and typically cheaper(and way cleaner lol) than any hotel. The only issue Deon had was putting the wrong code in the electric keypad, even though he was given the right one, which doesn’t seem like the owners fault. I calledy Don as soon as I could and helped him get it. People who write poor reviews because of their own mistakes hurt small business owners.

The long weekend was a birthday surprise for my wife. It was so nice to get away and to go to a place that also welcome our furbaby was so nice. We had a great time at the lake house, exploring the local area where High Falls was beautiful to walk, and Frank's and Wings, Things and Pizza where great places to eat. The house was very clean, loved the view and location on the lake to watch the boats go by and the rope swing was AWESOME!! Kevin was great great to communicate with during the entire process of planing and during out stay! Highly recommend this lake house.

Not much of a yard

Not much of a yard for dogs or kids and the walk way down to the dock needs a little bit better steps . And spiders was bad at back door I took the broom out there and cleaned porch and door way. Other than that it was good

Family Birthday

We had 5 adults. Only 4 towels were left. 2 rolls of toilet paper. We ran out. No vent fan in the bathroom . The 3rd bed was terrible. My mother in law 87 had to sleep on the couch.

Hey, the listing says 2 queens and a twin so if your grandmother needed a bigger bed you could’ve given her one of the queens. There is also an air mattress that is very comfortable

Awesome location

Owner was easy to communicate with. We had everything that we needed. House was clean, kept up nicely and had an incredible view. They spent time and money on the deck and boat dock. All you need to do is grab your poles and your boat and you're all set. The house does have stairs to get to one of the bedrooms and the kitchen but that was my only drawback and it's only a drawback because I'm in a medical flare just coming out of the hospital but we made it work. I should have asked prior to renting. I am 1000% happy with my stay and will stay here again.

Where are the lamps?

The home itself presents like a normal lake cabin. The view from the deck was beautiful and the dock was great to float off of in the tubes we brought. Upon entry however I felt as though I was entering a teenager’s apartment. The main room was devoid of any interior design. There was but a large TV and a pit group sofa. The sofa was covered with a slip cover, I assume to give cover for a pet. The smell of cheap air freshener was all over the sofa making it difficult to actually sit on. The bathroom had been updated and was for the most point clean except to the remaining toiletries in the shower. Honestly, the idea of a bidet in what is basically a public toilet is not something I’m interested in. We didn’t need the second bedroom but noticed it was again fashioned be a teen. The master bedroom was again bare. The bed was a newish “ mattress in a box” type. It was thin and firm, but was ok. The biggest issue was that the bed didn’t have a full set of sheets. There was not flat sheet between the fitted sheet and the blanket. There were bed side tables on either side of the bed but there were no lamps. In fact, there isn’t a lamp in the whole house. Also, do not bring any hanging clothes because there is no where to hang them. Every closet must be an owners closet because all are locked. The kitchen is basically in the basement. It makes it convenient to to deck and lake view . This is my first Vrbo experience. Maybe my last.

Hey Karen, thanks for the review. I’m glad you enjoyed the lake but I’m sorry that you didn’t like how my 9 year old son decorated his room. After all, my family does use the property as well, so I let him put up some posters in the room he stays in. The toiletries in the bathroom were not left behind. We put hotel sized bottles of soap and shampoo for guests in case they are needed. Seems pretty obvious to me that they were provided by the host & not left by a previous guest. There was no “cheap air freshener” used on the coach cover. It’s called laundry detergent. Thanks for your stay!

Beautiful view....

This place has a nice view but lacks inside. It wasn't the cleanest and the beds didn't even have flat sheets on them. There is only one bathroom and one mirror in the whole house. The kitchen only has a few things in it so no cooking there. Very cramped property and hard to park with a 4 door pickup. Owner was nice though.

Feels just like home

The birthday weekend stay was perfect and peaceful! Loved having our boat and family at the water with us. There is a marina very close to the house. Loved waking up to the sounds of boats on the water. Very modern home and I instantly felt at home drinking coffee on the deck looking at the water. The home gave us a new level of personal hygiene; changing lives one at a time with the bidet! Got to have one! Thank you so much for sharing your piece of heaven.
