Most items were made by the owners and/or members of their family using repurposed materials when possible. Two master suites upstairs, both with private baths featuring handcrafted mosaic tiled showers keeping with a "Van Gogh" inspired theme. One suite is Starry Starry Night and the other is Van Gogh’s Sunflower Fields. Kitchen, living area, and half bath are on main level. All new stainless appliances and granite countertops in kitchen. Handmade (seating for 8) solid wood dining table. Large pantry with numerous small appliances such as toaster, blender, mixer, etc. Living area has gas log fireplace with artisan tin surround. Mantle is handcrafted and hearth is made from repurposed slate shingles from an old church. Basement/Recreation area is more like an efficiency apartment. It has an open living/sleeping area with a queen size bed as well as a sleeper sofa, kitchenette area with a small fridge, microwave. There is also a full bath with tub/shower combo, washer and dryer. This area leads to the lower porch with gas grill and hot tub area. Each of the three levels opens onto it's own covered porch/deck with an amazing view of Mount LeConte. Cabin even has a small fenced "puppy yard". This only provides an area for pets when supervised. It does NOT keep bears out !
Please Note: You MUST be able to navigate stairs comfortably. ALL sleeping areas are accessible by stairs.
