We recently spent 2 months at Ocean 6 to escape the winter and it was just what we needed. The price point and the fact that they allowed us to bring our dog were key. Zoe is an excellent communicator and responded quickly to our questions and needs. This unit faces the back of the building away from the parking lot which allows plenty of privacy. The community as a whole was busy but very quiet. The larger of 2 pools was heated in February and March so we were able to use it on the milder days. It is also very pet friendly as is St. Simon as a whole. There is a dog park about a 10 minute walk from Ocean Walk and several restaurants welcome dogs. Massengale Beach is an easy 5 minute drive (off season … not sure about summer traffic) and also pet friendly in the off season. All in all a wonderful place to call home.

This was a short quick stay. After a quick cleaning we were able to get in a little later than the checkout time and all was well. We were granted a late check out since we got in late. No complaints.

The property checked a lot of boxes for the price, was well laid out and stocked, and the owner was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed cooking on the grill outside and the pools onsite were convenient and well liked by our kids. It is very convenient to both the beaches and the village, and if you brought bikes you could feasibly not drive while there.

Great For a Family

The property was very fun for family and children. The pools and swings were great and it was a only a short walk to the village. Our kids loved the bunk beds and the interior of the residence was decorated very beachy.

Wonderful location

This condo is in a convenient location to all that St Simon has to offer. Short bike rides to restaurants, shopping, beaches, and sightseeing. The condo was clean, comfortable and the 2 king beds were great.

To clarify for those reading this; We don’t move people once you are booked you are confirmed and will stay in this townhouse “Ocean Six”. So glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for explaining the changing condo statement. This guest booked two townhouses for her group, one through us and one with another owner. We have the added bonus of the one next to us now also being a vacation rental. She explained she got confused between this “Ocean Six” booking and the other one booked. Something must have happened with the other booked property, perhaps a double booking or another issue. She wanted to make another review but that is not possible, Once reviewed it is not possible to change or add another one. Looking forward to your next stay and for you to take advantage of the town house next to us too :). I am hopeful that it would not happen again.

Has potential. Great location. Great neighborhood and amenities.

Supposedly we were the first rental of the season. This unit needs guest bathroom repairs to tile and plumbing fixtures. Owner says it is scheduled this week but too late for us. Outside patio not yet cleaned up. They should have made sure the place was ready to rent for the season before we arrived and found it in this condition. Beds comfy. Would stay here again once repairs are made and place cleaned up.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. The guest bathroom wall tile has a few chipped tiles as mentioned. So sorry that it made your stay uncomfortable. We are planning to remedy this issue with new tile and it will be scheduled for sometime in the next few months. The courtyard was cleaned by both the Hoa (every week-blown off) and housekeeping prior to check in (wiping down the surfaces). So sorry that this season of your stay does not have much color in the flower beds only the stems of flowers that are soon to bloom… later on in the season. I am sorry you mistook these for weeds. Also the teak two seater bench is supposed to be gray, we choose not to oil it as we prefer the grey color. So sorry that it was not to your liking. The other outdoor furniture, I hope you found to your taste. We do hope you will come back perhaps in a Different season to enjoy this property and everything it has to offer. Thank you, Zoë

Not bad for the cash price.

My experience was decent. The list of demands for housekeeping was a little extreme to me as all pf the dust we seen in the place and mold in the grill. Beds were super comfy. The kitchen was nice enough to cook in. It actually fit all of us. Made us want to do more vacarions in the near future.

Thank you for your thoughts A little confused about your statement about high demand by housekeeping. The only requirements for check out should be normal packing up and leaving a house stayed in for a week. This to clarify further is; leave no no food behind, leave mo dirty dishes anywhere, take all trash out of the unit to the trash area and set the dishwasher off before you leave. The vents had condensation build up, thank you for mentioning. This has now been removed. Sorry you felt that the housekeeping was placing high demands on you and your family. We aim to make this a relaxing place to stay, we hope you enjoy your next vacation stay at “Ocean Six”

The property had not been cleaned. Contacted host and was asked to leave property for a couple hours so it could be cleaned.. after a 6:1/2 hour drive to get there.. we did not arrive til after check in time.. do not recommend in summer only 1 ac so the upstairs sleeping area is rather warm at night. Although there was a fan on each night stand and a ceiling fan.

No one wants to arrive to an uncleared unit we are so sorry this happened. House keeping had an emergency and had not done the clean and not shared this with me. We were there within 30 mins of your arrival with a team and had the property ready within two hrs. The ac unit works well, the vents in the summer downstairs must be closed this forces the cold air upstairs. I am sorry you did not reach out it is a detail we have on our check-in instructions. The table fans are there for people that enjoy a fan at night not for the purpose of cooling although they do do that too.

It was fine.

Location in St Simons was good as a "value" alternative to places closer to the beach. Complex was good for a family with access to a pond, tennis courts, and 2 pools. I was underwhelmed by the condo -- (1) small A/C unit coupled with bad circulation led to the downstairs being freezing and upstairs being stuffy, (2) drier didn't work and would beep all night long unless you turned the breaker off, (3) showers were missing chunks of tile, (4) dining room light consistently flickered, and (5) I just felt gross on the couches. Additionally we didn't get check in information until an hour before our arrival, and cleaning/maintenance crews were still inside working for 2 hrs after arrived. All this to say the condo was "fine" for the price but I would not choose to stay here again.

Pros - Good location in the complex, close to pool, quiet space out back, decorations are cute, beds are comfyCons- upstairs gets HOT, even with the fans it is just warm and uncomfortable, our sink in the master bath was clogged, neither tv upstairs was working,(let owners know about the tv's and clogged sink, was told they would get back with me soon and never did) kitchen sink was leaking and I had to clean off dirty handprints off of the door/wall in the master bath. I hate leaving negative reviews and I try to be understanding. We had a good time and were glad we were able to travel and see family, but I was disappointed. There definitely needs to be some things updated and it needs some TLC. Wish it had been a better experience.

Great Location!

Steve was an excellent host and we will book this VRBO again. We travel to St Simmons at least once a year. The house had everything we needed.

Family vacation

Clean but I could have done a better job myself. Property owners where great an helpful. Our whole family stay an never felt cramped pretty roomie. Did get warm upstairs so you need to leave the bedroom doors open. The apartment complex was nice an loved the pool, daughter really enjoyed the ducks at the pond. Altogether great place to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to review Ocean Six...Our house keeping is following the protocol provided by the world health organization and Airbnb. The ac vents were adjusted to maintain a nice cool space upstairs.

It’s a place to stay

First off when we arrived at the condo, there was a sign drilled into the siding that stated “all guests of this unit were restricted from using any amenities”. Great first impression. There were dishes in the dishwasher, the place needed to be dusted and the bed sheets were dirty as if someone had already slept in them. The TVs were old and outdated other than the master. We were only there for 2 nights so I didn’t have to deal with it long. I feel they should have paid me the deposit instead of me paying them one.

Great location!

Nice townhouse with everything we needed. Zoe is a great host and responsive to questions and concerns. Only real issue as mentioned by another person was the laundry equipment in the unit. I'm sure Zoe will be addressing it! Thanks for a lovely stay...had a great time. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and Cute

We really enjoyed staying here. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The entire place was very clean. It has a little patio area we liked. It's on the back of the building, so it's more private. The building is very well built. We never heard the neighbors at all. The owner was very helpful. We had very clear instructions for checking in and out. I would definitely stay here again. Just an fyi: if you stay here, leave the bedroom doors open at night. There's not a vent in the hallway, so the bunk bed area gets hot. There was only one complaint. The washing machine smelled like mildew, and we couldn't get it to work. However, it's really not a big deal because you're just a few steps from the laundry building if needed.

It has been a great adventure to enjoy St. Simon's Island. A short drive from Atlanta, Georgia just 4 1/2 hours, we hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Zoë & Steve

We had been looking in this area for a year, it is the perfect location. Close to the village, fishing pier and lots of restaurants. We love riding bikes around the island shaded by the lovely old oak trees that drip Spanish moss of the lanes. It is truly a dream come true we love this area.

There are two swimming pools on the property, one is heated. A pond in the center of the grounds provides a place to sit or walk around on route to the club house or relax a spend time fishing. Sit and watch the ducks or see the turtles sunning them selves. The tennis courts are conveniently located as well as the fitness room inside the club house. The club house also has conference facilities and a computer room for internet use and more.... (wifi also available in the condo) bring your bikes or rent them close by - Bike racks are provided.
