Quick trip to Jax for Graduation

I have nothing but nice things to say about our stay. Although we were there pretty much only to sleep, as we had to leave early the next day, the home was exactly as expected and described. Easy keypad access and located on the second floor, made going the car seamless. The communication was always responded to in a prompt and timely manner. Although we didn't use any of the amenaties available to us (pool, fitness center, etc) - they were readily available with access keys/fob waiting for us at arrival. The location is perfectly situated amond numerous restaurant options, hospitals (hoping no one will need it), and easy on/of onto I95. We would definitely stay here again!

Disappointing

My friend and I drove a combined total of 8 1/2 hours to get to this property. We only had a short stay planned from Friday 7/21 at 4pm check in through Monday 7/24 at 11am check out. We chose this property solely based on the pool area. Saturday morning we took our towels and walked to the pool area to spend the morning only to find out it was closed. We were devastated, On our walk back to the unit we encountered a woman who lived in the complex so we asked her about the pool closing. She told us it had been closed for a month and was most likely going to remain closed another two weeks. We contacted Sherrita and told her we wish we had been informed about that before we arrived. She was very apologetic and gave us a refund. However, we had to spend precious hours looking for another place to stay not to mention having to pack everything up less than 12 hours after unpacking the evening before (in 100 degree heat). Our weekend getaway had been turned into a disaster. The unit itself was lovely but someone should be held accountable for not informing us about the pool situation. I probably will not use VRBO again sadly.

Hi Connie, we are so sorry about your stay and understand your frustration. As an owner and super host on VRBO who prides myself in providing a pleasant experience for my guests I was devastated as well this why we refunded you fully and tried desperately to find you comparable accommodations. I just want to clarify a few things. We were completely unaware that the pool was closed for maintenance when you arrived. Contrary to what the person might have told you it is not possible that the pool was closed for over a month. I mentioned to you that I had just taken my own kids there less than a week ago. We have also had guest stay consistently there the past too weeks from VRBO. One of the even left a review and it was a 5 star rating as we usually recieve. We have never had a bad review until now and though I take full responsibility for that bad review I would like you to know that this was a one time occurrence. Also, the pool was open again 2 days after you left. We blocked off our unit from new bookings until we were sure it was repaired. All in all, we just want to confirm to you and anyone else that would be interested in visiting our property or using VRBO in the future that it is still a very safe and beneficial thing to do. I have personally stay at very nice hotels and resorts that have had an issue or two to deal with at times and they have done there best to accommodate. It is definitely still your choice whether or not to give them a chance going forward and we respect the way that you feel; however this is definitely not the experience that our guest typically have and I believe our reputation outside of your stay speaks to that. We apologize for the inconvenience again and hope that you would have a better experience in the future.

St. Augustine Sights

This place was great! The owner really made this trip a positive experience from start to finish. Upon arrival there was a cute gift basket waiting for us in the kitchen stocked with yummy treats! My children then found the cutest flamingo floaties waiting for them in their bedroom. My 12 year old son was delighted to see the PS4 displayed in the living area…. I don’t think he really played on it but it made him happy to see that it could be an option. The amenities are wonderful and just as nice as they appear in the photos. We had a quick trip so we weren’t really able to enjoy them for very long but we did manage to play some tennis on the first night and everybody had a great time! My husband and I enjoyed the patio each night for a little peace and quiet away from the kids. The location if the apartment is very convenient and centrally located. Sherrita was also gracious enough to allow a late checkout for us which has become an exception that many owners do not seem to grant these days. We highly recommend this place to each and everyone seeking an affordable place with luxury amenities.

Great time!

This property was even nicer than pictured. It was immaculate , roomy and the owners left many small touches that made our stay great included mints on our pillows! The pool was amazing, and felt like we were at a luxury resort. The owner was very responsive and even sent me my license which I left behind. We will definitely be back!
