Actually 1 minute walk to private beach/5 to town beach! Renovated/ pet friendly

Come see why folks are flocking to the beautiful Connecticut coastline in this charming, comfortable private home. Why stay at a hotel when you can rent this whole house instead? The whole house has been designed to create happy memories for our family, and now hopefully for yours as well thanks to VRBO. You even get to take fresh herbs and whatever is ripe from our vegetable garden!

The house is just 1/2 block to a quiet private beach, just for the residents and guests on this street--meaning you! You can bring a dog to the private beach, which you cannot do at town and state beaches. Or head to the amenity-filled East Haven Town Beach with its white sand, just a 5-minute stroll away along the shore (or you can drive over and park there, too). The Town Beach is one of the nicest on the shoreline. It has everything: toilets, playground, pavilions, and a splash pad for the kids. There's a little snack bar and restaurant across the street. We have a wagon so you can roll everything you need to either beach or you can park there. You'll find the house has everything you need for fun in the sun except for the sunscreen--chairs, coolers, towels, and even a boogie board.

The house is newly renovated with everything you need, down to the corn on the cob holders. It's tastefully decorated, but also comfortable. Nothing is so precious that you have to worry about it, but everything is nice. There are games and cable tv for relaxing evenings. Internet is fast. There's a wood fireplace for chilly nights, and we provide the wood and fire starters so you can get a fire going quickly.

The house is newly renovated with fresh paint and new floors. Everything is sunny and airy. Nearly every room has a high ceiling and skylight, so we provide eye masks for each guest even though we've installed shades on the skylights. You'll find two large bedrooms upstairs with one bath. One has a queen bed and one has two twin XLs with a kit to combine them into a King if needed. Lower level third bedroom has a queen bed and a sofa that folds into a single bed. Downstairs, there are two couches and a queen air mattress for people to sleep in the living room or family room. There is another bathroom downstairs with a large tub. Downstairs shower going in shortly. Other spring 2023 upgrades include a new vanity with marble top in upstairs bathroom , an outdoor shower, and a new air conditioner in the kitchen.

Kitchen is well stocked and comes with basics like oil, butter, salt, pepper, spices, sugar, tea, coffee for the drip machine, and some pods for the Nespresso and Keurig. And if something is missing, just ask! The owner is dedicated to making sure you have a great stay! We've tried to include everything you could want, from the corn cob holders down to the air fryer and blender set.

You will have the whole house and the private, fenced yard and the garage--except for one closet in the master and the boiler room. The driveway holds several cars and we have summer street passes for others.

The house has basic equipment for small children, including gates for top and bottom of stairs you can install if necessary and a high chair. There is also a pack and play for infants, with a small changing table on top. There is a large washer and dryer as well, free to use.

Please be considerate of neighbors and so no loud late-night parties please on beach or in house.

Please message about pets and early check-in. We do accept well-behaved animals who won't damage the house for only an extra cleaning fee. The house comes with a litter box, pet bowls, and a few pet toys.
